One night in the twinkling of an eye the earth is transported into a new universe. This shift will forever alter the lives of political figures and ordinary people. Scientists find that Juno, the star around which Earth now orbits, has eight versions of earth circling around it. Earth 2 is a world where the Nazis and an Asian band of countries rule the earth. Events will bring Earth into conflict with their dictatorial neighbors. The main characters in this book are realistic and likable, and I enjoyed reading about them and their transformed lives. This book is very interesting and detailed. I liked that it was basically PG-13. I did not see graphic sex or gratuitous violence. This is great light reading for any science fiction fan, or a person who wants to try out the genre. I would recommend it.

What an interesting concept. We're all aware of the multiverse theories; every decision any of us make spawns a new universe for each choice. Well, I'm aware, so I assume so is everyone else! (Call me Zero, for I am the center of my universe.) Anyway, with all the people on this planet, and who knows how many other planets, it seems like there'd be a huge number of alternate universes!

In this novel, eight alternate Earths are snatched by powerful and mysterious entities, and placed in orbit around a Sol analog (it's not our sun, but close enough you'd not notice without instruments), all spaced out in the same orbit. I'm suggesting plural, but since we never meet them, who knows?

On one of those Earths, the closest one, Germany won World War II, resulting in a radically different world society that what we have. Their technology isn't as advanced as ours, but their space exploration is far beyond what we have. They even have a lunar colony, a prison lunar colony.

As though the folks on our Earth aren't having enough trouble coping with what's happened, monitoring the Nazi Earth's radio broadcasts soon indicates that at some point, probably sooner than later, they will make a strike on our planet for our resources. And what about the other Earths....what about them?

As I said, quite the concept. Executed very well, and I look forward to the next installment.

THE SHIFT.

A unique take on Science fiction, geopolitical strategies, and personal handling of drastic events.

What happens when your reality is suddenly SHIFTED to something completely unexpected? This is the plot of THE SHIFT. Earth, as we know it, is Shifted to a new reality. It is in orbit with 7 duplicate earths around an alien sun, all in the same orbit, equally spaced. BUT, this is not the only problem. On at least one of the planets, the Nazis did not lose World War 2! They rule their world, and continue the Third Reich, with all its horrors. Their Space program might be a little ahead of ours! And they have no morals in war.

A very good book, it is intended to launch a series. It has action, adventure, romance, and intrigue.
I liked it.

This is an interesting and novel sci-fi novel. The concept of the multiple Earths with alternate histories took me a little while to wrap my mind around but it made an enjoyable story. The characters were great, the plot moved right along and there is obviously much more of this story to come. A good read!
I won a copy of this book in a Goodreads giveaway for this honest review.

This book was strange - never read anything multi-verse related. I quite liked it. I think if the book just followed a few characters, deeply, it would have helped ground the story more. The ending left a lot unanswered but now knowing that it’s a series, it makes much more sense as to why it was left like it was. I’d be interested in the next installment for sure.

I was a bit sceptical when I started this book; I mean .. space Nazis? But to my pleasant surprise as I started reading I got more and more engrossed in the story. I also enjoyed the multiple story lines telling of different experiences of the events unfolding. Can't wait until the next book is released, and will likely be impatient for each further book as we go

Solid, it takes a while until anything is happening, there are too many characters and some story arcs are boring. But the end is actually fun. Still not sure if I would continue with next book, but I could get persuaded.
