One sight of the island beauty and I knew I was doomed to fail.

She’s the girl from the island.
Her eyes the color of whiskey and her lips, the taste of sugar. She’s all of my addictions rolled up in one hot body. What’s wrong with having a little tryst while on a mini-vacation?

Except addictions are hard to quit.

Aspen

He made me fall in love with him and then left me broken-hearted. My prison was his fantasy. But he wanted to see me again. He offered me something I couldn’t resist. A chance to leave the island.

I should have never gone to New York City. I was a stranger in his world, but secrets about a past I never knew lurked in the shadows threatening to unravel my life. I thought I left the mysteries of the island at home. I didn’t know I was one of them.

Her jobs include, but are not limited to, seamstress, carpenter, craft extraordinaire, PTA President, chauffeur, dance mom, mediator—of mentioned kids—and author. 'Wild Distortion' is a contemporary Romance written by Tina Saxton. This was the first book I have read by her , and I am still shocked that I missed this amazing author!

Wild distortion was one wild ride for me and I was hooked right from the start. The blurb of this book was a bit confusing and I was shocked to see a different storyline from what I expected. But it was great nonetheless! Aspen and Ryker were amazing characters and are gonna stay with me for a long long time!

There were times when I wanted to yell at Aspen for being so naive about her father and also wanted to beg Ryker to stay! My heart broke so bad when he left! This book was a great read for me and I would recommend this to all the contemporary romance lovers who would like a read full of so much love and angst!!

Oh wow. This is high up on my top reads for 2020 list. Tina Saxon is a new to me author and I wasn't sure what to expect. I think the synopsis sounds mysterious, but it makes it sound like a bad boy football romance. Ryker is the exact opposite and there's also a lot more suspense.

The first third of the book was a bit slow to start with as it's building up Aspen and Ryker's relationship. There were hints that all was not well in Aspen's life, which kept me going. About midway the story-line takes a huge turn and I was glued to every page. The last third slows down as everyone is dealing with the big moment, but I was emotionally invested in the characters and seeing how it all wraps up. Although there was plenty of romance, I loved there was a lot more mystery/suspense than I expected.

Characters from past books make appearances (Aiden/Addie and Max) and there were several introduced I'd like to see again, including Mila, Halli, Jason (he disappeared and I was hoping there would be more with Halli). I haven't read the other books but I'm anxious to catch up.

I received a copy of this book through Hidden Gems Books ARCs for an honest review.

I was roped in from the very beginning with this one! It's a perfect blend of cute and steamy romance. I loved the depth behind both of the characters and the organic chemistry that blossomed between them. This book also has a mystery element that just puts the icing on the cake!

This is my first book by Tina Saxon and, after reading this, surely not my last! I couldn't be more thrilled that I came across this one and even barely half way through I knew it was going to be four stars at least. The reason for this is the relationship that formed between Aspen and Ryker. Their unusual first encounter seemed to just spark a fire that continued to grow throughout.

Have you ever read a story that took you on a wholly different ride that you never expected with twists and turns? That for me was Wild Distortion by Tina Saxon as I found myself enjoying it more than I thought I would. The book starts with football star Ryker being found with drugs as he took the fall for one of his upcoming teammates. In order, though to get out of the spotlight, his agent and coach have told him to go to a hidden island and stay out of the cameras -keep a low profile. Ryker ends up going to Bora Bora where he meets "A" and is captivated by her. Later he discovers her name is Aspen and unlike the rest of the world, she has no idea of his fame and isn't interested in dating or sleeping with another mainlander/tourist as she has had her heartbroken by them before. Ryker sees this as a challenge and sets out to woo her. That is until he discovers he will have to try hard as Aspen's father and best friend are over-protective of her. Eventually though when the pair do connect and sparks fly, we read as Aspen comes to New York for the first time to see Ryker and decides to use this opportunity to try and track down her mother. This though will open a whole can of worms as Aspen's life starts to unravel as things about her past and her parents are not adding up and we later discover that everything Aspen thought was a lie - even her name isn't what it should be. I liked the latter part of the novel, though I wish we got to see a more dramatic focus on the reuniting of Aspen and her family rather than the main focus being on her relationship and potential romance with Ryker. If you are in the mood for new romantic suspense, then don't forget to check out Wild Distortion by Tina Saxon today.

INTRIGUING & EXHILARATING!
Great romantic suspense & I loved Aspen's story!!!!

I read the blurb before I read this book and now I kinda wish I hadn't. Sometimes I just enjoy diving in and reading a book without having any expectations or knowledge of what I'm about to read. Even after reading the blurb, I did still enjoy this book. I love a good romantic suspense every now and then.
I won't go too much into this book but I will say that Aspen was awesome! She grew up on this little island where she could never travel very far but turned out to be an ambitious & hard-working woman; determined to go far in life! I loved how she stood up for herself and she was quite possibly my favorite part of this book! I might have wanted to punch Ryker....more than once but when I did feel his connection to Aspen I loved him.

I’ve already added more of Tina Saxton’s books to my TBR and can’t wait to read them!

First of all, can I just say how gorgeous this cover is! I could stare at it all day long and be a blubbering mess. It's THE perfect Ryker!

I'm new to the game here and I regret not reading Tina Saxon before now, because she is one heck of a writer. I don't want to say I went into the story blindly, but I kind of sort of thought one way about it, but boy was I wrong. And boy did Tina Saxon make me a fan really quickly.

Ryker was one of those cool guys--little cocky, little arrogant--but dang it I couldn't help but love him. Then there's Aspen. I adore her so hard. And the two of them together have such an intense chemistry. Wild Distortion had a little bit of everything and I think that's what made it such an amazing read. There were parts that I never saw coming, but one thing's certain. Ryker and Aspen were meant to be together.

Wow! Such an entertaining read that I highly recommend. Five stars!!!

Tina Saxton is a new to me author and one who I will for sure be keeping my eye on to see what she has up her sleeve next. The writing in this story was fantastic and was very well paced. The plot was engaging and it plenty had twists and turns.

Wild Distortion is a mesmerizing romantic mystery tale and the characters of Aspen and Ryker were wonderful. Their sizzling attraction jumps off the pages, and there's plenty of witty banter to made their relationship a delightful to read.

While this book has plenty of intensity and drama, it didn’t feel overly angsty, and the adrenalin-fueled emotions are balanced with humor, steam and heart. Between the unique plot and storyline and the terrific, captivating characters, Wild Distortion was a fantastic read.

Tina has a way of taking you on a journey with passion, heat, and a whole lot of suspense.

I love Aspen. She was a strong heroine. She knows what she wants. Isn't whiny but confident and selfless. Ryker is flirty, sexy, and protective of these new feelings he has with Aspen. There were times I wanted to slap the boy - but that's more Heroes.

I really loved this book and went immediately to download the rest of Tina's backlist.

I have to admit that I thought that this book was going to be the characters stranded on a desert island, but I couldn't have been more wrong lol! In my defence I did only glance over the synopsis because the cover and the author's name was enough to make me read the book lol! I've read this author's other books and enjoyed them, so I was looking forward to this book! After reading, I can say that I enjoyed this book a lot! The plot had me right from the first chapter and this book only took me a few sittings to read! I loved the way it developed and what happened in it! There was also plenty of romance and I loved the way it progressed and that it allowed for a few seriously hot scenes! There was some mystery and action and suspense in the plot as well and I wasn't expecting it to be what I was, but it was different and The author also described Bora Bora so beautifully that I just wanted to pack my bags and go visit lol! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Aspen was the main female character, and I felt for her in this book because she wanted something bigger and she wanted to leave the island and experience something different! I liked Aspen a lot in this book and she also worked hard! Aspen also went through a lot and discovered secrets that changed things for her and my heart went out to her! Ryker was the main male character and love interest of Aspen! Ryker had a successful job in this book was well-known! This is how he came to meet Aspen! I liked Ryker in this book! He was very funny with Aspen and it was easy to see his feelings for her grow! He also tried his best to support her as she went through a lot of changes and he was protective of her as well! I loved that this book was written from both Aspen and Ryker's point of views! I was expecting it to be after I glanced over the synopsis because it makes it sound like it's going to be written from dual point of view! I'm really happy that it was because it helped me connect and understand Aspen and Ryker more and see how they were dealing with everything! It allowed for a lot more to happen in the plot as well, which was essential as Aspen and Ryker did spent some time apart and went through their own situations and changes! I can also completely understand why this book is a standalone! Everything in the plot was wrapped up and all the questions raised were answered! The ending was also left at the perfect place for the characters and summed up their relationship and how far they had come! I loved it a lot! I now can't wait to find out what this author's next release is going to be! I know that it's going to focus on a secondary character from this book and I'm really looking forward to reading it when it releases later this year! The cover for this book is also absolutely stunning! I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it and I love how well it suits the feel of the book! The cover models are also the perfect Aspen and Ryker!

When Ryker's sent out of the country by his coach and PR rep to get him out of the public eye, the island beauty he meets (in a sexy little meet cute!) burrows under his skin in a short time, and he can't get her out of his mind even after he leaves the island paradise. Will Aspen venture off her island home and to the States to explore their attraction?

Once there, though, secrets come to light, and a mystery is on. Is Ryker's addiction to her whiskey eyes enough to get them through the revelations that just may ruin her life?

I so did not see much of this story coming. I love how out of the box the mystery is, how skillfully it was weaved into Aspen and Ryker's developing relationship. But most of all I love how sweet (and sexy) these two are together. Their chemistry blazes with intensity, all amped up the suspense surrounding Aspen's life. I'm not sure if more is coming in this world, but I definitely hope so because I want lots more!

* I received an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review *

This was the first book I have read by Tina Saxon. I am not sure how I missed her books before but after reading this she will not be forgotten. I must not have been paying enough attention to the blurb because what I thought would be a hot sports romance with some drama totally through me for a loop with its suspense and mystery.

There is no better way for two people to meet.I was embarrassed for her but jealous of her at the same time! Aspen definitely got an eye full but probably never thought she would ever see Ryker again. While there was an obvious attraction between the two I am glad they didn’t just jump into bed together. We got to see their personalities and it made me love them together even more.

“Whiskey, dead men don’t have morning wood.”

I wanted to yell at Aspen with how naive she was when it came to her dad. I know they said he was protective but I knew something was up from the first interaction we saw with him. I never would have guessed what was going to happen but between him and Dante I sensed something was off. I never would have imagined where her story was going to go and I was shocked.

She’s everything I don’t need right now, but everything I want.

I do wish we got to see more of Ryker back in New York. I would have liked to see a little more with him playing ball. I also expected there to be more about the situation with the teammate that had him sent away to begin with. Ryker definitely fell hard for Aspen and when he sent her that ticket my heart melted. They were perfect for eachother. They connected so fast and when he left I was heartbroken for them.

Tina Saxon really caught me off guard with this book. The last line of that blurb really is so important but I am glad I missed it because I loved the unknown. The way she took a storyline that has been written so many times and made it into something so different was so creative. Amazing job!

Ryker is sent away to Bora Bora to hid from the press after getting into some trouble. While on the island he meets Aspen and some how his coach's warning to stay away from women while on the island is thrown out the window. He goes out of his way to make sure that he can spend as much time with her as he can while on the island. Aspen has been working her butt off so she can get off the island and spending time with Ryker wasn't in her plan but she can't deny the pull he has to her. They spend two weeks together on the island in bliss so when it is time for Ryker to return home neither one is thrilled by it. So when Ryker offers her a chance to visit him in New York she accepts but little did either one of them know that her trip to the States would set off a chain reaction that will change both of their lives.

Wow . . . this was my first Tina Saxon book and it did not disappoint. I don't know what I was really expecting but I think I got so much more if that makes any sense. Not only was this book fun - watching them spend time together, their banter, her naivete towards a lot of American idioms was hilarious but it was sweet and charming. I loved their connection and how much they enjoyed each other. Then when the you-know-what hits the fan we get this whole other level of suspense and then all the mystery starts to unravel and ugh it was so good. This was another one of those books that deviated from the same old formula of build up until 50%ish when they finally get together-life is happy until 70-80% then drama hits and at 92% they are happy and back together again. I absolutely loved how we got to see Ryker and Aspen "together" for such a large portion of this book, it was refreshing. Oh, and the epilogue? Perfection. Loved this book and highly recommend it to those that like mystery and suspense with their swoon.

After he lands himself in trouble with his coach, Ryker finds himself being sent to a island for a few weeks to train, get his head on straight, and avoid drama and women at all costs. And for the few days he is there he somewhat follows the rules, but then an island beauty name Aspen comes along and there is no avoiding her.

After their first meeting he can't forget her, her beautiful alluring eyes draw him in and he instantly has to know everything about her. At first she tries to keep her distance, but little by little he finds ways to work himself into her life, and before long they are inseparable. But with the end of his vacation looming he knows he is going to have to let her go...

Wild Distortion is a mesmerizing romantic mystery that will keep you on your toes the whole way through. Ryker and Aspen are a perfect pairing, both bringing lots of life to the pages, and both easy to connect to. When I first started this one I thought it was going to be more of a steamy romantic getaway type story but then things took on a mysterious air and it had me sitting up and taking notice. There were so many things just not adding up about Aspen's life and her father's overprotective nature made me think he was hiding things too... it was all so entrancing! I really enjoyed this first time read, it was a well crafted tale with engaging drama, unexpected twists and turns, and loads of sizzling heat! Highly recommend!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

I had never read a Tina Saxon novel before Wild Distortion, but this book I absolutely LOVED!!!!

Oh, I was hooked from the beginning! It is very well written, plot very engaging with with a lot of twists and turns that will have you saying" WTH?!?!?" Also a plot that I've never read before and was very unique.

It is a romance with a bit of mystery. The chemistry between Aspen and Ryker jumps off the page at you! It definitely keeps you wanting more. 🥵

The banter between them had me just as hooked as the romance!!! Some writers attempt the witty banter intwined with the romance and it just doesn't work, with Tina she made it work and the characters seem as if they are just an everyday couple. Ones you experience in your life.

I definitely suggest you check Wild Distortion out! You won't be able to put it down!

I would like to thank the author, Tina Saxon and Greys Promotion for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

I received an advanced copy, an ARC, for my honest review.

Wow, I was not expecting any of this! This book blew my mind. I was expecting a sweet sports romance but got so much more.

Ryker is sent to Bora Bora to stay out of the spotlight after being involved in a bit of scandal. There he meets Aspen. Aspen has lived on the island her whole life with her Dad. She works odd jobs around the island but also bakes cookies for the hotel and other establishments.

Ryker and Aspen start a relationship while on the island that grows into much more. We follow it from Bora Bora to NYC where everything changes.

The twists and turns in this story are amazing. I found myself getting annoyed when I had to put down my kindle to do something else. I enjoyed all the secondary characters in this book and I especially enjoyed Aspen. She was great. I hope Tina Saxon builds on the storyline with more of Ryker and Aspen. Or branches out with the other characters. I look forward to more of her books.

4.5 star review of Wild Distortion by Tina Saxon

Tina Saxon is a new author to me and I have no idea how I have not come across her before. However, be assured this may have been my first book, but it will not be my last.

I‘m really not sure where to start with this book, It was well written with strong characters and I was fully invested in Ryker and Aspen’s story from the first to the last page. There was romance, a good deal of suspense and mystery with an unusual story line that was unique.

The connection between Ryker and Aspen was heartwarming and their banter amusing. What will happen when Ryker convinces Aspen to leave Bora Bora and travel to New York?

For fear of revealing too much this review will be brief. Suffice to say that there were times that I was on the edge of my seat. All I will say is what a wonderful twisted story this is.

Aspen always dreamed of returning to the US and staying there. For the last 24 years she has lived in Bora Bora with her dad. He took here when she was a year old. But she didn’t know what her life would become when and if she ever made it back to the US. Meeting Ryker has giving her the opportunity of returning. But her life will forever be changed once she goes back.
This is the first book written by Tina Saxon that I have read so I did not know what to expect. All I can say is I could not put this book down. Always wondering what was going to happen next. Aspen and Ryker fell in love in that short time they were on the island. Once they were together again but in the US their lives were changed. Would their love survive, would she run back to the island where she was safe and escape her life as it is now. A story that will keep you glued to every word and not be satisfied until you reach the end.

Ryker is a professional football player who finds himself involved in a media frenzy so the management of the team have decided the best way to deal with it is a few weeks away on an island where he can focus on his sport and not be distracted by women and partying.

Aspen and her father have lived on the island since she was a baby but she dreams of another life. As they spend time together while he is there the chemistry between them ignites even though they both know that their relationship has an expiry date. When Ryker returns home and arranges for Aspen to visit that is when the intrigue and surprises really begin!

Despite their very different lifestyles there is no denying the chemistry and connection between them and the way they faced their obstacle just made their love that much stronger.

Ryker and Aspen’s story pulled me in from the very first pages. Their chemistry was intense from the start and only grew with every interaction they shared not only their physical chemistry but one much deeper.

I loved their banter which was fun and playful but they also had an open and honest way to communicate and I think that really made the connection they shared much more remarkable.

Intertwined throughout the romance was a storyline full of twists and turns, mystery, suspense, moments that had me gasping, my heart racing and tears to my eyes.

I haven’t read this author before and dang, I was missing out. This story is seriously amazing. It's not really a sport romance in the literal sense and I am glad about it! The mystery and the suspense all come to an end and boy, what a story. Ryker and Aspen are so great together. I love their connection and it was seriously sweet. I did not expect this story to be honest, even tho this time I did read the blurb..and what a story!

I honestly don't even know where to start with this book! I'm so in love with Ryker and Aspen's story. Wild Distortion had my emotions all over the place! One minute I'm laughing and for several, several long excruciating minutes I was crying. The title is absolutely perfect. I feel like this story will forever have a place in my heart.

Have you read a Tina Saxon story yet? If not you are missing out on one of the best romance writers around. Her characters are so well developed and rich. She does not hold back with Ryker and Aspen.

Blurb: -Don't read it! Go in blind trust me. If you want the mystery to reveal itself as you read the book. If you like cookies this read is for you too, and who doesn't like at cookies. Ms. Saxon transports you to the island of Bora Bora, the chill of NYC and the southern style of Austin, TX. I had the best book hangover because I could not put it down. Ms. Saxon is also know for keeping her readers on their toes so make sure you are paying attention. Go read it now!!

OMG, where to begin?

Ryker is a football playboy who takes the fall for one of his teammates and gets suspended for 3 games and banished for the sake of his image to bora bora. There he meets Aspen, a local girl who refuses to fall for his charms. But of course she does, but then he has to go back home, leaving her moping, but then he sends for her and when she gets to New York, the story really gets good!

There is mystery, drama, suspense, intrigue, and of course, romance!

Gah! I cannot say more without giving it all away, but y’all need to read this!
