Interesting storyline
Olivia and Dain are a very close couple and their relationship with each other is amazing. But one day Olivia goes to her work and disaster strikes. The hostage situation of her office just worsens as Olivia comes there.
Dain can get his wife out and he has the skills for it. The way he works around to get his wife out of trouble forms the story.
Enjoyed it.

Olivia & Dain were wonderful. It isn't very often you get to read a book where a couple is already established without a divorce looming or one of them inevitably dying so that was refreshing.
Olivia Brannan arrives a little late to work because of an appointment and the minute she hits the office she knows something is off. With her husband training to be ready for any situation she is on high alert, but it isn't until she spots blood that she knows something is terribly wrong. Olivia's only thought is getting to safety, calling her husband and the police. After all, keeping herself safe is top priority but where can she hide where no one will find her?
Dain Brannan is a client security specialist and the best in the business alongside his team. He is calm in even the worst situations but when his wife Olivia is taken hostage every situation he has been in never prepared him for this. Can Dain get around the police and get his wife to safety before someone is killed?
Stella Hunter & Evan Parker did a wonderful job at narration. As I have stated many times before Stella is one of my favorite female narrators, but this was my first narration with Evan and he did not disappoint. His voice was everything gravely and delicious while holding that alpha authority I love so much.
Come For Me was a short listen but 100% worth it because while this might have been quick & short this felt more like the introduction to a new series. I am really looking forward to the continuation of this series and the rest of the crew from JCL Security.

Ella Sheridan’s Southern Nights: Enigma series will take you on a roller coaster ride of suspense, action, and romance that will pull you in and keep you turning the pages.
The first three books are already out: Come for Me, Deceive Me, and Deny Me. They tell the stories of the Enigma Team of JCL Securities, a team of security experts.
We are introduced to the team in Come for me, about Dain and Olivia. This was actually a short story and could have used some more introduction to the team and the characters. As it is, we are dropped into the middle of a hostage situation, with Olivia being taken captive on the same day she learns she is pregnant. Can Dain free her without stepping on the toes of the authorities?
Deceive Me is longer and much more satisfying. Elliott Smith is a lone wolf, who has found a home she never expected with the team. But her social skills are limited, as shown by her putting their client flat on his back. Deacon is a security expert on his own, but most of his team has been decimated by an African pirate king, Diako, in revenge for their shooting Diako’s son during a raid on his human trafficking operation. Deacon is terrified for his four-year-old daughter, Sidney, and hires JCL to protect her. Elliott and Sydney take to each other immediately, and Deacon is drawn to the tiny but fierce warrior. Elliott is fascinated by Deacon as well, but she’s hiding a major secret. Can Deacon forgive her deception?
Trust is again featured in Destroy Me. Deacon’s surviving teammate, Fionn is obsessed with finding Lys Sheridan, the computer nerd who planted a bomb at their compound. Even though no one was injured in the resulting explosion, the betrayal bites deep. Lys, who was blackmailed into planting the bomb, has been in love with Fionn for years and plans to stay hidden. That changes when she discovers a threat to Fionn’s mother. Can Fionn overcome his distrust for his former teammate to protect his mother and keep Lys by his side?
All of the books feature strong, intelligent women, and capable, experienced alpha males who keep being surprised by the women in their lives. The final book in the series, Deny Me, just recently came out and is a fitting addition. A highly recommended series.

This was a great novella. Fast paced and action packed. Very well written. Definitely intrigued to read other books by this author.

Safeguarding what is Precious...
This story revolves around Olivia and Dain Brannan. Husband and wife for 10 years and counting. They still have so much passion for each other, they could put newlyweds to shame. You don't often read stories about married couples that have been together for years. It was refreshing. Their relationship was a joy to read especially the back and forth sparring between them, and also the hot steam they still have for each other. Dain is ex-military and now works for JCL Securities. He is sexy, gorgeous and all alpha male. Olivia works for a financial firm and is feisty and can definitely go toe to toe with her husband.
Olivia's day starts off with amazing news, but later events take place that turns it nasty. The company where she works gets taken over by criminals who hold her and her co-workers hostage. When Dain discovers his wife is amongst the hostages, he goes into full kick ass mode to save her. This story is full of action, suspense and intrigue. The secondary characters are not to be left out. They hold their own when it comes to this story. I flew through this book and I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

Come For Me by Ella Sheridan might be a quick read but from the very first page, this author keeps you on edge. We’re talking about heated moments, non-stop action, and romance between the husband and wife that might make you feel like a voyeur. The book revolves around Olivia and Dain, who are husband and wife. These two are so good together. The love between them is evident and will inspire relationships goals.
When Olivia goes in to work one day, her life gets turned upside down. Instead of a nice day at work, she’s having to step over dead co-workers and try to get herself out safe. When Dain finds out Olivia is in trouble, everyone better hold on because he’s not letting anyone take his wife from him. Dain has the skills to get the job done, but the stakes keep rising as he finds out the secret his wife has been hiding.
This author provided me with a strong storyline and fascinating characters in a short amount of pages. This was everything I wanted in a story and I can’t wait for the next book by Ella Sheridan.

I want more from this fabulous author. This story is everything I thought it would be and more. Ella Sheridan you have once again, taken my breathe away with this hot romance suspense book. This book is all about love, faith and never giving up hope.
Ella Sheridan delivers another smoking hot, alpha that will have you in puddles and a beautiful, strong heroine, who will take your breath away. This story revolves around Dain and Livie, who are husband and wife. Livie goes into work, to find the office has been taken over by people wanting money. When Dain finds out Livie is in trouble, he will stop at nothing or anyone to save his wife. No one will take his Livie away from him.
Once you start this amazing story, you won’t be able to put it down, you won’t be sorry. I for one, can’t wait to hear more from the Southern Nights crew.

3.5 RATING- A short and steamy romantic suspense novella about a wife that gets in trouble and her sexy and capable husband that comes to save her.
I read the first couple books in this series a couple years ago and kind of lost track of the author. I'm glad I ended up circling back to read this novella.

This is a great suspense filled romance story.Maya showed up for the first time to walk Slaves dog.A big mastiff.But Spade when he first laid eyes on Maya he was speechless she was the most beautiful woman he's ever seen.When he said he was sorry he forgot to cancel.His dog went to Maya and she got him to go out in the storm that he was afraid off to do his business then she let him in.She told Spade he was under too much stress and that she could help with his headache.He ask how she knew he had a headache she said she could see it on his face.What she didn't tell him was she was an empath.After taking his hand and using pressure points his headache let up.This beauty called to him in a way no other woman had.He ask her if he could take her out for dinner.She said yes but told him she didn't date and didn't do relationships.He said ok.After she went to teach her yoga class an noticed that Troy was back she said welcome back she was glad he was back.Troy had made up his mind that Maya was going to be his.He was going to ask her out when a blonde haired man showed up and she said her friend was waiting and left.After a nice dinner Maya told Spade to take her back to his place.She told him she would give him a massage.He ask if he could massage her too she said she see.She wanted to get things ready and then call him up.He relaxes so much he fell asleep.Will Spade and Maya fall for each other?She had a passionate morning with him then took the dog and ran off.When he asks if he can take her out she tells him to come over for dinner.Is Maya going to get over her fear of relationships?Will Spade decide even though he doesn't want to hel l share her to keep her in his life?Will Troy be a danger to Maya because he can't have her?Will Spade be able to save maya? Ella Sheridan has given me the best novella I have listened to in a long time! Dain and Livie have been married for 10 years. Their love is strong and even now, they can't get enough of each other. When Olivia is taken hostage at her office, Dain does what he has to. Using his unique set of skills, this security specialist kicks into action. But will he get to her before the danger closes in? I could not stop listening. The chemistry between Dain and Livie is off the charts and I only wanted their happiness to continue! Livie is amazing! I love her,not only because she is smart, but her instincts and bravery make her a heroine to admire. And Dain, There is nothing better than a man who will do anything for his woman. His strength, calmness and ability to do what needs to be done just won my heart. This is only book one and I cannot wait to see what Sheridan has in store for me next.
Stella Hunter and Evan Parker give an incredible performance. Hunter is one of my favorites, and her portrayal of Livie is spot on. Strength, courage, passion, it's all there and her voice just brings out every emotion that she is feeling. Even scared, you could feel her love for Dain, her reason for carrying on in the inflections of her voice. Parker brings the alpha voice to Dain, and he gives that air of protectiveness as well as danger. You know he is dangerous and can hear it in his voice, but the tenderness he gives with Livie is heart melting. A fantastic pairing and wonderful listen.

Thrilling, Action filled and Romantic 😍😍
This one starts with that smoothness that's deceptive and a prelim warning of the calm before the storm.
Dain is the most perfect husband and is insanely in love with his wife, Olivia. Even after almost a decade of marriage, their love for each other is stronger than ever and their chemistry is still like a fire raging hotter than ever.
Everything is amazing and Olivia also finds out something that she can't wait to share the blessing of their life with her husband.
But all hope is tossed away when she walks in her office not only to find it deserted but also finding one of her colleagues murdered.
Working in security, Dain has taught livie well in training her as to what do in situations like this.
From then on, I was on the edge of my seat as everything happens within the span of hours and seeing how bravely Olivia tries her best in remembering her training and trying to do her best to stay away from danger.
Dain's world is shaken when he gets the news that his wife, his entire world is in danger. He doesn't waste time and together with his team formulates a plan of action and gets into the thick of it.
I was so nervous and couldn't read fast enough to find what happens next. How Dain and Olivia along with his team smartly navigate this danger.
My favourite highlights about this book are the way everyone works in taking swift action, also Dain's team, Elliot, King and Saint were total badas*es but Dain and Olivia's chemistry and romance sure topped it all perfectly for me.

After growing up on nothing but romance books I told myself I would never get to obsessed with love stories, but Ella Sheridan (Author) has changed my mind. Romance books have come a long way. Come for Me had me on the edge of my set from the moment I started listening.
Olivia Brannan and her husband Dain have been married for ten years; one would think this would bring some form of normalization to their life but when Dain wakes up to find Olivia not in bed; he finds himself wondering why? This is not normal when he is working local.
Being a typical woman, she explains her absence from their bed as work related but we soon learn there is more to this answer than just work. Olivia knows she cannot keep too much hidden from her husband since he is in the business of solving the unknown. See Dain works for a top security company and has the top security team with skills that range from marksmen ship to commuter hacking and everything in between.
This may sound like your normal love story with a twist of danger but from this reader/listeners perspective there is more. Give it a try; I know I will read the rest of the series.

Good, but a pseudo cliffhanger
Pros: great action, hot sex, pretty solid pacing up to the end.
Cons: for a first book in a new series, the lead characters needed more sketching out. Some standard info is there that explains their relationship, his job and hers, etc. But they both felt dropped into a narrative that exists somewhere else. And maybe it does, and I haven't read it in another series. That's not the best way to start something new. I kept feeling like there was a lot more info that I didn't know.
Another Con: the story ends on a cliffhanger. What happened to the bad guys? Why did they try to pull off such a totally stupid caper that couldn't possibly end well? It didn't make much logical sense. At the end, most of the bad guys died, the good guys walked, and the story just ended. Also didn't care for the weird doctor visit and the snarky surprise stuff that wasn't amusing, entertaining, or funny.

Pros: great action, hot sex, pretty solid pacing up to the end.
Cons: for a first book in a new series, the lead characters needed more sketching out. Some standard info is there that explains their relationship, his job and hers, etc. But they both felt dropped into a narrative that exists somewhere else. And maybe it does, and I haven't read it in another series. That's not the best way to start something new. I kept feeling like there was a lot more info that I didn't know.

This book is different in a number of ways. The entire story takes place in a number of hours which is rather strange. Dain and Olivia have been married for 10: and still passionately and deeply in love. When Olivia is taken hostage in her place of work and Dain learns of it he’s frantic to get her back. Since he works for some kind of security agency, he has the skills.
This is a fairly interesting book that kept me engaged but I had one huge issue that kept the grade down. It’s like we were dropped into the middle of the story without any background information. We know next to anything about the main characters, how they met, how long they’ve known each other - nothing and I found myself frustrated by this. The same applies to Dain’s teammates. They are a closely knit group and the book reads as if we already know them and we don’t. We don’t even know what exactly they do. What makes this especially annoying is apparently this is the first book in a series. I don’t get it. There’s no world building therefore I couldn’t really connect to the story.
Because of the frustration, I don’t think I’ll continue with the series. It’s just too bare bones.

Dain is part of a security team and he never imagined that one day all his training and his team memebers would have to use all their skills to rescue Olivia, his wife of ten years. Olivia never thought that all the times Dain had taught her how to get out of a situation would one day come in handy and that one day has happened when she finds out some happy news, bringing the good news on the back burner as she has to find a way to survive.
An amazing read with steam right from the get go, suspense and action. These two had me spellbound and I loved seeing after ten years of marriage the sparks are still there and strong as ever between a couple. I was on the edge of my seat and I loved how both Dain and Olivia were like the honorary parents of the team and how all of them brought their A game to save someone who they all cherish and love. The story flowed beautifully, the descriptions were spot on, like I was right there in the room and the emotions from all of them flew off the pages...amazing read.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the short novella about Olivia and Dain. Olivia works in the financial district of Atlanta and one morning when she arrives at work, she finds the place empty and a dead co-worker on the floor. Olivia realizes there is something wrong and hears arguing so she calls Dain, her husband to come and get her. Dain is a security specialist and his team are the best. When he learns his wife is in the building where everyone is being held hostage, he and his team want to go in and get her out. Dain fights against the police to sneak in the building, but he is caught along with Olivia and have to find a way out. This is a fast paced book with a lot of action. I loved the connection between Dain and Olivia, their love for one another shows through everything they do. There are a few steamy scenes between them and i love how protective Dain is. Olivia is a smart and strong woman who handles herself in a crisis. Good one.

Come for Me is a super fast and equally as intense introduction into the Southern Nights:Enigma world. At slightly over 100 pages this novella packs a mighty punch! I liked that the chapters were fairly short and quick to read. That way I could do a quick chapter read and then run off and do other things. I could totally binge this in one sitting, but that just wasn't in the cards for me when I was reading it. I liked the characters, I think Elliott intrigues me the most, so I'd be interested in her story as well. I'm hopeful that future books in the series are longer and more detailed, but Come for Me offered a good little taste of what is to come!

When she enters her office, she is shocked to discover the place is under siege.She leaves a voice message on husband’s cell and then tries to hide until help comes.Will Dain team be on time to prevent more tragedy. Witty banter and strong emotions shown by Dain, Olivia, and Dain’s team members was worth to read this story in one sitting. It really is a good story!

Love story Between Husband and Wife facing danger
I must admit that this type of story ( 80 percent action thriller and 20 percent steamy / passionate romance) isn't one I would go looking for. However I was pleasantly surprised. It was a fairly quick read and kept me wanting to see what happened next.
Dain is part of a Special ops task force and finds out on the same day that his wife that he worships is pregnant and in a hostage situation in hee building. Olivia kicks away trying to sa e herself and her unborn child from dangerous men who killed her coworkers.
I would say it's worth your while to read, especially if you like police / security action thrillers with a bit of steam at the beginning.

Edge-of-your-seat fast-paced romantic suspense!
Wow! What a terrific story! Dain and Livie are a happily married couple, and this story charts one harrowing day for them. Dreams come true, then the nightmare begins, then it's up to Dain and his security team to ride to the rescue!
Heart-stopping action combined with the sweetest affection between these two makes for a thrilling read. All that action also lets us get to know the other team members, and how they operate almost like a family unit. Beautifully written, this isn't a long book but it's one that will stay with you for quite a long time. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I loved it! This novella sets in the Southern Nights World is amazingly well written, suspenseful, and entertaining, filled with danger, action, and twists and turns. Olivia and Dain are perfect together, and they complement each other. Olivia is smart, strong, and capable. Dain is handsome, alpha, protective, and caring. Their story is captivating. Stella Hunter and Evan Parker did a fantastic job with the narration. This is definitely a great team author/narrators. This is another GEM written by Ella Sheridan, and I HIGHLY recommend it. I need more!! Looking forward to listening to Deceive Me, the next book in the Series. This story is the first book in the Southern Nights: Enigma, a spin-off Series to the Southern Nights Series. We really need the original Southern Nights Series in audiobook!

When Olivia goes to work and things go wrong, Dain and his team are the ones to the rescue. His team can get the hostages out but Dain wants his wife out now.
As the team works to defuse the situation, Dain's main concern is his wife and her concern is to stay alive to tell him the secret she is keeping.
I love this story and want more, this author has a way of making this team work well together and they are family. I listened to the audiobook and the narrators were good too.

I absolutely loved this couple! It's not often you get to read a book wher the main characters are already so completely in love and devoted to each other and I loved it!
It's well written and the plot is fast paced with plenty of suspense and action, and there are some pretty spicy scenes too.
I can't wait to read more of this series and get to know the rest of Dain's team.

Action-packed story from the Southern Nights: Enigma series. This is my first read by Ella Sheridan and I was hoping the story was as good as the blurb. I really enjoyed meeting the characters of JCL Security. This story is about Dominant Dain and his wife Olivia. Dain is the perfect Alpha male, and Olivia is a strong minded career woman-except in the bedroom. While their scenes together are hot, I thoroughly enjoyed how it was balanced with the plot, and the camaraderie of Dain's team members. Not a long read, but well-written & I’ll be reading more books by this author.

A very short well written action packed suspensful mystery romance. Dain and Olivia have been married for 10 years and wanting to have a child. This review is for the audiobook. This is a quick listen, but should not be underestimated. I had an advanced listener copy of the next book in the series, Deceive Me, so I grabbed this one. So glad I did! It really sets up the characters and establishes the team and the relationship between Livie and Dain. It's exciting and Livie is a bad-ass! Stella Hunter & Evan Parker in DUET is like the icing on the cake of excellent narration. They both deliver great performances! Don't pass this one up!

This is a good quick read. Livie Brannan has an early appointment before she goes to work and she sends her husband, Dain off to his security job. Her appointment is with her family doctor who tells Livie that after 10 years of trying, she is finally pregnant. When she gets to work is when things go wrong. She finds one of her co workers dead and she realizes there are intruders in her office. She calls her husband and he and his team respond. The team has to get inside to save Livie and the baby. What happens next is the best part of the story and how many will come out alive.
