Management Jukebox by Debabrata Satpathy is a very helpful yet easy going business book about SAP (Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing). It gives various insights into the subject matter of SAP and ERP (Enterprise resource planning). The book is all about explaining this complex topic into very simpler terms.

The book starts with various characters, who are working together and are at various levels in a company. In this book we see how there are many different aspects and dimensions in an organization. Ranging from employees, structure, data processing, etc. but still the 'IT' section of the organization holds the smooth functioning.

The book explains the topics and the concepts quite well. I liked the execution of the few topics explained in this book. The book should have been little bit more detailed when we talk about a topic like SAP. And I must say a lot of things and concepts given in this book were which I wasn't aware off.

I am about to enter the corporate world and being a complete fresher I guess reading this book right before that somewhere gave me some insights which definitely our curriculum lacks in. So I would say if you are into reading business related book but are also looking for something which is not very heavy on the reading for such topics, then please pick this book.

As the tagline suggests this book is about gearing up for SAP. There as many different dimensions to a business, employees, customers, product data, MIS, etc. And to achieve all the enterprise goals it is very important that 'IT' has to be in tune with the working of the organization.

This book talks about primarily implementing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) to achieve all the goals of the enterprise and smooth functionality of the organization.

If you already have an idea about concepts like ERP, SAP, etc. or want to know more about it, you will find this book very helpful.

The language of the book is very easy. The author has tried to explain many concepts in detail, but if you don't have any business background or interest in such topics you won't like it.

The management Jukebox, by Debabrata Satpathy, helps you to understand the concept of SAP and ERP, working in an IT organization without getting complex. This book introduces characters from the corporate sector to make complex concepts easier.

The thrill of knowing how the IT industry works felt real because it was the first book with technical premises that I read. The background/ development/ evolution and working of systems, applications, and products in data processing have been elucidated clearly.

The addition of characters to understand complex matters like working in an IT industry makes it for a total newbie to understand the concepts.

The book is divided into three sections: Where do you stand? Do you know your key people? and Are the businesses and the 'IT' well-coordinated? The first part explains the working, the second part clearing out the roles of people who work in this industry, and the third part explains the businesses involved in running the IT industry.

This book revolves around the Skrull Group of companies, how they plan their future projects, and the implementation of the Framework within the company.

I would recommend this book to someone who is planning to enter the IT industry and is totally new to these concepts. Overall it was one time read for me.

Management Jukebox by Debabrata Satpathy is a story about: A corporate group grappling with the problems of its complex structure, people, data, information and MIS; SAP, as the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution for the problems; A professional, entrusted with implementing ERP and bogged down with insurmountable challenges; A Mentor, who makes it a point that her protégé succeeds; A magical set of tick boxes, that ensures success in ERP Projects.

The book is divided into three sections: Where do you stand?, Do you know your key people? and Are the businesses and the 'IT' well coordinated? It took me a while to finish this book because I don't usually read books that have a corporate and/or technical premise. I appreciate the authors willingness to explain certain aspects of the book in details so that readers from non coporate backgrounds like me can understand what is what but it came at the expense of the book becoming tedious. The writing style is simple, easy to read and doesn't feel complicated even if the premise can be somewhat difficult to relate to. The author provided some really good, useful pointers that can help thd target audience.

Overall, it was a one time read for me because it's not something I read and isn't my cup of tea. I would recommend it to people who like books that are based on the concept of management and talk about the corporate lifestyle.

Jukebox was a brilliant machine in vogue during the twentieth century. By putting a coin, one could instantly listen to one's choice of music.

This book not just talks about management terms and ways an industry is run but also makes you understand what the inside looks like.
It gives you an inner look of what a corporate world feels like.

The story delves on the background of SAP ( systems, applications and products in data progressing), evolution of SAP as a business solution, the myths about SAP and various aspects of SAP as a product.

The narration is very lucid and the pace is also fast which is both an advantage and a disadvantage because to readers who are new to it, a little more description could have helped.

The language used is simple and you also get to learn a lot of new things, things that you might face in the future.

The novel lays a strong base for people who wish to join the corporate world.
It has everything, from the emotions of a worker, to the boss's expectations from his employes.

The book is very good for people who don't like reading non fiction but still wish to know more about SAP and EPR because the author has added a personal touch to it and made sure that he explains everything through a story.

This book is specifically designed for the professionals who wants to implement Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in their companies or businesses. This book talks about how to utilize our resources at minimum cost.

To understand ERP, one needs to know how ERP has been developed over the years as an indispensable concept for the business entities. One cannot just apply ERP overnight in an organisation so it requires a lot of planning and discipline .
SAP is arguably the best and most utilised business solution in the world. This book talks about complex concepts like ERP, SAP, ERP Project Management etc., and at the same time author tries to explain everything in an interesting way . The characters are very few in this book but all seems very real and with the help of characters like Aadi, Sheiley Rodrigues he made this story very interesting . This book is revolves in and around Skrull Group of companies ,their planning, future projects and Implementation of broad framework within the company.
This book also teaches us many things like dedication, hardwork, ambition, dreams and hope so there is lot to learn from this book.

This book is not for everyone.

Management jukebox is one of a kind book . I have never read any book like this before that focuses and discusses about the complex corporate structures and how to survive the challenges of this world. Debabrata Satpathy has done a great deal in putting up a unique storyline with bunch of twists and loads of knowledge. Divided into three sections ,this book also serves as a guide for better understanding of erp ,sap etc. Simple writing style , would be loved by Techies and corporate people .

The book I would have wished to read before my maiden ERP implementation. Would have loved a more detailed one beyond the planning stage, but good read. With a better title, the book can reach a much wider audience
