Another great read by these two authors! They once again bring strong characters with opposite personalities in Bennett and Clover and weave an entertaining romance. What starts with them butting heads changes to a sizzling chemistry and budding romance. It's well written , moves quickly and smoothly and is an enjoyable read.

Un-Leashed will have emotions tied up in knots. From laugh out loud dialogue to a heart stirring storyline, Haney and Hayes have outdone themselves. Bennett is a broken man with a chip on his shoulder and an ache in his heart. Clover is an optimist with a sensitive heart and a sassy tongue. Add in two adorably mischievous dogs and sparks fly. Hayes and Haney add tempting to heartwarming with captivating results.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Oh the trouble one sweet dog can get two people into. Clover is just trying to live her life as best as she can with several part time jobs while taking care of her sweet yet deaf Husky Mia. Then Mia gets lose one day only to end up in Bennett's front yard making way to good of friends with his dog. This does not lead to the best first time meeting but they make the best of it while Clover hopes that is the end of it. So imagine her surprise when a short time later she discovers Mia is expecting puppies. This is so not in her budget so she goes back to see if he will provide some sort of help. At first he says no until he finds she is living in her car with the pregnant dog. So instead he offers her employment as his housekeeper which comes with room and board. Then he goes one step further by rescuing her younger brother from a horrible situation allowing him to live there too. He feels this is a safe arrangement because he is still kind of in mourning but fate has other ideas. As they spend more time together the sparks just fly leading to all sorts of situations. Leading to out lovely HEA. Overall a fun romance that will keep you turning the pages as it all plays out. Perfect for those looking for a light romcom to pass the time. I especially enjoyed how it mixed in our current pandemic as well. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

The story line reminded me of a modern with a twist version of the classic beauty and the beast tale. Bennett the beast, and his behavior is definitely beastly, has become a recluse after a tragedy in which he lost his family. Clover, definitely not a damsel in distress, runs onto his estate looking for her dog Mia, and meets the rude Bennett and his dog, the two of them have heated discussion when he tells Clover never to return. When Clover finds out her dog is pregnant, she goes to Bennett for vet bills and he employs her until the puppies are born. Sounds like an easy solution to a problem, but unfortunately neither Bennett nor Clover count on being attracted to each other. A scare and a surprise brings them closer together.

Well written and the authors did a great job highlighting and describing the emotions and feelings between Bennett and Clover and their growing attraction to each other. Great read very enjoyable.

Any book with dogs or cats, I'm in for. Well mostly. Anyway, once I saw dogs, I was in. I will be honest from the get go, as a board member of various Spay Neuter non-profits, the fact that these dogs weren't fixed bugged me. But that's my own thing. But still, spay and neuter your pets! Ok, end of PSA.

Bennett is definitely reclusive millionaire. I sort of thought of him like Beast in Beauty and the Beast. Hidden away, not wanting guests or friends, almost hermit-like. Except Clover wasn't a Belle. She was sassy and feisty and I loved her dog Mia and her name.

Bennett and Clover are as opposite as they could ever be but they're sorta stuck with each other while Mia was pregnant with the puppies. But over time, they start to tolerate and even like each other.

This was a good, light-hearted read that kept me entertained.

Such a soft romance for such a had time

These two, who seemed to have nothing in common, find the perfect solution with each other. He’s a damaged successful businessman, in contrast to her being a struggling, harried multi-jobbed ‘would-be’ housekeeper. Who knew they would find each other in the first days of COVID? Such a sweet story, in a time we’re all losing our sense of romance. It takes a lot to heal his scarred heart, even more than his damaged body. But she manages to find her way inside. So sweet. Plus HOT! Did I say hot?! It is. But beyond romantic. I fell in love with Clover and Bennet. And I couldn’t stop singing “Roll me over in the clover. Roll me over in the clover and do it again!”

Un-Leashed by J. Haney and S.I. Hayes is a sweet story of Clover and Bennett. He a gruff loner who tends to alienate people. She’s an outgoing, loving soul with a dog that ends up loose on his property and runs into his dog! Somehow, these two souls could be just what the other needs??? Puppies always help!!! Thoroughly enjoyable, story!!!!

Two jerks in love

It starts with a meet-hate, and goes downhill from there. Initially the two seem to be from opposite sides of the track, but you learn that they have a lot in common.

Really, I hated the male protagonist--he was SUCH an a$$hole! Then I recognized the feelings behind his behavior....though he was still a jerk. Thankfully, he had some supportive, understanding friends. And, really, the emotions and actions were relatable and raw. One thing, though: i felt the story would've worked fine without the romance; their dynamic was so disagreeable... Two abrasive personalities that rubbed each other wrong.

At least there were PUPPIES!!

"Un-Leashed" by J. Haney & S. I. Hayes

My Speculation:

I love this story "Un-Leashed" that these authors have given us featuring Bennett Reynor and Clover Prescott. I enjoyed how this story comes together, bringing in two lovable dogs. Yes, both of these people have dogs[Marius & Mia], and when one gets loose on someone else's property, things will take quite a turn for Bennett and Clover. We find that even though Bennett had troubles living with his grief and loved living in solitude, I found him still having a heart with what he offered to Clover. I loved how good Bennet was with Clover's little brother, Genkei. As the story continues, one will see as love will blossom for Bennett, Clover, Genkei, and let's not leave out those beautiful dogs.

These authors worked there magic as the story will involve the deadly disease 'The Coronavirus.' This virus was well worked into this story letting the reader understand what is going on. As I read through the story, I found it identified the story as it is happening today in America, 2020. As you read the story, you will see how well these authors are on top of this subject matter in the way they presented this all to the reader.

The characters from the story were to be well-developed in helping the story run so smoothly that it will keep your attention to the end. I enjoyed them all from Bennett, Marius-Dog, [Brynna & Janey], Stanley, Jenna, Gertie, Gabe, Sydney, Clover, Mia-Dog, Elara, Shanice, Genkei, Jerica, to Mikelle Sachi.

By the end, will Bennett and Clover get their HEA? I did like the little surprise we received toward the end. I will stop here because I don't want to give too much away but keep one interested in wanting you to pick up "Un-Leashed" to see how well this story was delivered.

Well written romance with a remote and cold hero in Bennett who was somewhat like "The Beast" as his broken heart was slowly mended and thawed by sweet Clover. I liked the way Clover's dog Mia was the catalyst in their meet cute which wasn't cute at all.
While I enjoyed the storyline and the characters, Bennett just rubbed me the wrong way. His initial non attraction to Clover, and his continued hook ups with Sydney, a woman he disliked and with his regular paid escort Elara, who he did like, had a huge ick factor.
As the story developed and Bennett's backstory was revealed, it was a bit easier to like him but I think the damage was done as I didn't believe his connection and feelings for Clover were sincere.
Clover was sassy, smart, and savvy, with an inner strength that allowed her to persevere even under the most dire conditions. Her dysfunctional backstory with a hooker/addict mom, and abusive pimp for a stepfather added to her depth of character. I loved her loyalty and love for her brother Genkei.
With her battled childhood and history, it made sense that Bennett's cold treatment was readily accepted by Clover as she put up with a lot, especially his crappy disposition and treatment of her.
Things did start to change once he became physically attracted to Clover and Bennett started to heal with their relationship.
Tons of steamy scenes, but too much additional scenes with his OW which he blatantly flaunted in front of Clover.

All kinds of chaos starts when Clover's dog Mia, gets loose & ends up at Bennett's place because of his dog Marius.  Those two dogs don't waste any time with their own love story (LOL), but as far as Clover & Bennett, well not so much.  See, he's totally a recluse because of tragedy in his past, so he's not always the nicest man, hell, he really enraged me so many times in this story. Anyway, Clover goes back when her dog comes up pregnant because she can't afford it on her own (and I'm not giving the whys of it) but that didn't go well either.  Finally, Bennett decides to help her by offering her a job with him until Mia has her puppies, and Clover accepts so let the games begin.  Bennett made some questionable decisions that had me calling him some very bad names of the color metaphor variety but thankfully, our heroine can go toe to toe with him. Honestly, you can't go wrong with this dream team, so maybe just maybe I forgave him. I almost forgot they also penned this story with COVID issues making it realistic in the telling. To find out if Bennett was redeemed, hit those one click buttons to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

I wondered at the start of the Covid pandemic how many authors would build that into their storyline, so far I've read a few. This might one of the best. The Haney & Hayes writing team have given their readers a sweet, heartwarming, steamy read with dogs and puppies, what more could you ask for. Bennett Reynor and Clover Prescott are perfect protagonists, he's a damaged, brooding, obstinate, and filthy rich recluse. She is a hard working, optimist, generous, outgoing, with a love for life. Perfect match. But, they both love their dogs, Marius and Mia.The story is a well paced, compelling, steamy, and so much fun. I've read a couple of books by this duo and have come away satisfied every time.

Bennett is that jerk that you love to hate. But what he doesn't show the world is he is a kind soul, who only wants to help others. 4 years prior to meeting Clover tragedy hit him hard, and he really never dealt with the fallout from it. Clover, and Mia literally run into Bennett's life! But unbeknownst to them it becomes the best mistake to ever happen. While offering Clover not only a job, but a place for Mia to safely have her puppies, Bennett realizes he might have bit off more than he can chew. Throw in Clover's 8 yr old brother, and we have a houseful! This unconventional little crew of not one, but two dogs, two adults, an 8 yr old, and 10 puppies and you have a houseful! But its a house filled with love, and an unexpected arrival!

Bennett is a recluse after losing his wife and daughter in a car accident. When the beautiful young woman Clover comes to get her lost dog he pushes her away! Clover can’t believe how rude Bennett is, especially when she finds out that his dog knocked up hers! When they come to an agreement it is strictly professional! Only what happens when they both start to develop feelings for each other! Can Bennett let go of the past? Can Clover learn to trust Bennett not to hurt her? Great book that I would highly recommend!

Bennett is a little recluse since his accident. He really doesn't like human contact. He mainly just talks to his business partner.
While out with his dog another dog is out here with her owner. Within minutes his dog mounted the other dog.
Clover is trying to get her dog when she runs into Bennett. Not happy with the situation he tells her not to come back. She goes back to tell him her dog is pregnant.
Even though things are tense they still manage to get along. She helps him break free from his past. He shows her how to be loved.
So much to this story that I couldn't put it dowm!

What a good read! It was funny and it was sad at times. Bennett Is a billionaire, living in a mansion, and has become quite the recluse after a tragedy in his life. Clover accidentally meets him when her girl dog gets loose and his boy dog loves on her. They have a snarky exchange and she leaves but is back when it is confirmed her dog is expecting. In order to take care of her dog, he has her move in to be his housekeeper/cook. He hides his benevolent side. He has his mean moments but she doesn’t roll over and take them. It is nicely written and it is truly an enjoyable and entertaining book.

Un-leashed is the witty romantic comedy written by J. Haney and S. I. Hayes.

It’s the story of a woman who is down on her luck and working her butt off to support not only herself but her deaf husky, Mia as well. Clover is a strong woman who is trying her best.

When Mia gets loose and takes off one day on a walk, she runs into Bennett Reynor, CEO of a food delivery service and his albino Doberman, who happens to like Mia a little bit too much.

After the incident, Clover finds herself back on Bennett’s doorstep but this time for other reasons. When Bennett offers Clover a job living as in-house chef and maid, she can’t pass it up.

The relationship between Bennett and Clover is sort of like a very broad adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. Where Bennett is the beast who locks himself away in his house.

I loved the witty banter between the characters as well as the dogs. The dogs really make this book.

I highly recommend this book!

Bennett lost his wife and family when he got a clot so he went into hiding for 4 years.Clover’s dog that was deaf ran away from her his dog got her pregnant. She told Bennett that he had to help her with the vet bills, he hired her to cook and clean his house until the nine months or until the puppies were born. Then Clover found out that her brother was home alone, Bennett paid her stepfather to let her take him and never to see either one of them again. They fell in love so after all that happened to them and her illness, they got their happy ending! Great book and great authors!

I absolutely loved this story. I loved how the dogs brought the couple together. Bennett and Clover are an amazing couple.

Bennett has gone through something and he keeps to himself locked up in his house away from the world and hurt he is enduring. Then one day another dog is on his property and he has a few words for the dog owner when he stops and looks at her and starts to have feelings he thought were long gone.

I love how this story unfolded. It is a one click story that will have you all in your good feelings. So go ahead and one click this bad boy!

I actually liked this book, my problem was the editing. I don't know if it happened just to me, but my book started at chapter 7 and nothing on the synopsis was in the book. And the way some phrases or words were written, it was really bad. Despite all that, Clover was a strong woman and I admired her tenacity and Bennett was irritating half the time. They were a couple that flowed naturally, even with their differences

A cute short ret

I enjoyed this overall The MMC was definitely a grumpy sunshine. The female main character I really enjoyed her. The way that they 1st met was honestly kind of funny because the male main character you definitely see on how grumpy he could be but he was also caring. As you continue you can see their banter back and forth and the jokes that they make and you can slowly see them falling for each other. I ate this up.

Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well.
I'm not going to go into detail, no spoilers, just read the book if you are even mildly intrigued by the blurb. You'll thank me later!

The chemistry, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things interesting. Add in drama and passion and you have a good read.

Bennett & Clover struggle with their feelings, as they've closed themselves off to love, but two canines bring them together repeatedly.

Un-leashed isn't a traditionally sweet romance, per se, but it sure is a fun, quirky and sassy read. I recommend it. You'll find yourself turning the pages with great curiosity to see how everything turns out.

Great Read

I was pleasantly surprised. I started off with reading the sample chapters first and then I hooked. Bennett is your typical grumpy billionaire but I couldn’t help but love this character as the story progresses. Clover has multiple jobs just to keep her head above water. Sparks fly when Bennett and Clover first meet and they never went out.

Bennett is a loner and can't get over the tragedy that wrecked his life. Clover is working so many jobs to escape the tragedy of how she grew up. A unexpected mating of their dogs brings them together. Can they both show each other that things can be better with the right people in your lives.
