Two demons walk into a courtroom, and all hell breaks loose.
Adie thought her past was behind her, but the demon council isn’t so sure. When an innocent pink slip turns into a summons, Adie finds herself yanked into a courtroom alongside Julian.
Claims have been made against them, and they must now stand trial for their actions. Can Tobias, Emil, and Kellen pull them out of the hot seat, or will their lives be torn apart?
With their freedom on the line, Adie and Julian will be pitted against each other. According to demon law, someone must pay. Trust will be tested, bonds will be stretched, and no one is safe.
Succubus Trials Includes the Succubus Harem Serials 32-37
Pacific Northwest author L.L. Frost writes urban fantasy and paranormal romance with snarky characters and descriptive world-building. Whether she's writing a fast burn romance about witches, wolf shifters, and vampires, or teasing a slow burn romance while hunting demonic monsters, her passion is for character driven novels.
Growing up in a rainforest gave L.L. Frost plenty of time to daydream while spending cozy days under a blanket with her cats by her side. Sipping tea or chugging coffee, you can find her with a book or laptop in hand, imagining new worlds.
I know, I know. If I really missed Adie this much I could just catch up with the monthly releases of the story. But, I have to admit that it's maybe even much more fun to get the entire story arc at once. No mean cliffhangers, no waiting to see if things will turn out alright. I can now just start reading and enjoy the story until the next happily for now. On top of that, because it was quite a big book, it was the perfect read to take with me to the hospital yesterday.
And it didn't take me long to remember how much I missed Adie. Adie is such an amazing character, most likely because no matter how supernatural she is, she's very human and easy to connect with. Adie has this certain kind of pureness and even though she grows and learns in every book, she never loses that part of her. She never loses her cuteness. She just wants the best for people and she always thinks of others before she thinks of her. No matter how dangerous the situation is.
The plot of this book is the perfect continuation of the previous book. It's nice to see that actions have consequences, that nothing just happens and because whatever happens in this book is so logical after what happens in the previous book it still doesn't feel like the author is just dragging out the story endlessly. The plot is just as addictive as the first book, and filled with a lot more action and way more dangerous situations. At times it moves slowly and at times it moves really fast, but the pacing always works and fits.
And then of course there are the other characters in the book. Because we met all of them slowly and individually the cast of supporting characters has become quite big and they each have their own subplots and adventures. A lot of those characters would totally be great protagonists in their own stories and spin offs. The imps are lovely and so very unique because they can be and become whoever they want to be. Some other characters are more bizarre and yet that's what makes them so awesome.
This series is soooo darn good. I don't know how I stumbled upon it but I am so glad I did. LL Frost, and particularly this Succubus series, rates right up there in my top five of authors and books/series. Seriously, I put it in the same class as Hannaford Prep by J. Bree and Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti (which are in my list of some of the best RH books I have ever read). Not because the stories are similar (cause they're not) but because the writing and story create the same reaction for me. This story line is deeply engrossing and the characters are so memorable. The world building is rich and never repetitive or boring. This is writing I savor and never skim through. I have a 'type' clearly. I like an underdog fmc who is actually a bad@$$ and rises to and overcomes obstacles. I don't like em whiny or dramatic. Addie (FMC) is so awesome and such a unique fmc and she will grab you and have you rooting for her so fast. I like RH with strong men who can appreciate a strong woman and who are unique and REAL in their own right. The guys in this series take some warming up to but they are absolutely craveable and I've never come across characters quite like them. In case you're wondering, this is not a bully or enemy situation nor is it really a friends-to-lovers situation. This is genuinely a unique plot line I bet you have never come across. Is this a book about demons and witches? Yes, but I guarantee you have never read anything that comes close to this world. While this is based on demons and witches, this series does not fall into that trope or any of the common plots that go with that PR genre. Okay...that's my ode to this series overall, now for a few comments on this specific release. Book six is HOT. We get the next stage of relationship development we have been watching build. This is a slow burn btw (my favorite kind). We have been getting the smexy scenes for several books now but this book takes it all to a deeper and more emotional level. We get a super intense action packed set of challenges for the team to overcome and it's touch and go all the way to the end, with a happy for now feeling. We get to see Addie really stepping into unexpected powers and others starting to realize she is something more. Don't fear that she's some kind of Mary Sue though, cause she's not, she is REAL. Addie experiences both wins and failures but through it all there is so much hope and a steady build towards something you just know is going to be good. I don't get the impression the author has any plans to ever end this series. Much like a real life, the story for these characters continue and we get to be monthly voyeurs which is something else I love and makes this series unique. How often have you wished that your favorite story and characters just kept going? It seems like that might be the plan here. Yeah! In conclusion, if you're not already stalking this series I highly recommend you pick up book one and meet your new obsession.
This collection of the succubus’s journey is rather fun. We see growth, a good story arc, actual Love and an episodic ending that leaves temptation further rest of the series.
The trial was cool, what was the coolest thing in this book in my opinion was a single sex scene. So this is kind of a spoiler Basically the best teasing scene I have read, and it totally surprised me, in a good way, to find it a series like this.
This was a good series. The beginning books are better than the later books. It is fun to see how Adie came to be, how she got to where she is, and to see her grow into what she will become. There are some good sex scenes and there is some fun plot lines and twists. But books 5 & 6 (other than the sex) are lacking in plot creativity and writing making the books drag along. Just wanted to warn you before you become too invested in this series on the first book.
Overall it is a good read for a slow-burn. This book however, I sped-read because I was bored of the dragged on plot.
I really enjoy Adie as a character but I'm not a huge fan of serials so I wait until the whole arc is out. I wasn't disappointed and the wait was worth it!
I loved Tac in this story and understanding more about each characters backgrounds. I still have so many questions though! What is Adie? Is she really just a succubus or something more? Are the other's just inhibited by their training or is something more nefarious occurring?
I freaking love this series!! It's funny, sexy, cute and action packed. Adie is one of my favourite heroines I've ever read, she is strong-willed and knows her self worth .... Even being a succubus. Having to constantly overcome challenges and obstacles, but also keeping her three demons of destruction from destroying. L.L Frost is a great writer, descriptive and skilled. I recommend this series for anyone looking for RH paranormal/fantasy romance, a bit of smut and a whole lotta fun!!
LL continues to entertain us with more and more from the demon world. From Fantastical Beasts to Criminal Minds, this episode has us completely enthralled wondering how Adie is going to get through this trial. And don't get me started on how Jesse is trying to steal the show! I love her! So excited to start the next book!
This series gets better with each book! I am loving how much Adie is growing, she is becoming a strong, caring succubus and her demons are there for her, whenever she needs them. And in this book she really does need them! Even though Domnall is dead he is still causing trouble for Adie.
I love addie and her men and all the characters. I just adore them and I can’t wait for more. I just Love this series so MUCH!! Hopefully we get more Landon and Julien. All the characters there all my favorites!!
It's so hard to stay invested in a series, especially one that stays fixated on the same characters but I just can't get enough of Adie and her men. It's definitely engaging, the dialogue seamless and omg kittens!
Started this series a week ago and it has had me in it’s clutches waiting to see what happens next. Is there really hot (and cold and stormy 😉) sex? Yes. But it it’s much more than that. This is a well written, plot-driven series, and I am going to be so sad when I finish it.
This was such a good book. I love how they introduced a new villian and made it so that story line will continue for at least one more book. Also...kittens!!!
I devoured this series, could not put it down. It had humour, spice, adventure, and all the other good good stuff. It only got better as the series went on. 10/10 would recommend!
I liked that we got to see a bit more world building with this book, particularly with the council/higher ups.
Victor Hesse was a bit annoying but felt like a more worthy villain than Domnall MacAteer ever was.
There’s a threesome scene in this one that is 🌶️🌶️🌶️ mostly because Kellen kinda gets something that he’s been hinting at since early on in the series but also he denies the other party to this ménage from getting anything but the bare minimum, which is still somewhat hot? Lol

After the adventures in the previous book, everyone hoped that life would turn back to ‘normal’. Sadly Adie and Julian end up with a demon court summons to stand trial for their actions. Luckily they have the Destruction Demons, Kellen’s witches, Tally, Aren and the BBBB to help out, not to mention some newcomers.
Adie also seems to be developing some new traits since her activities in the previous book, but her relationships with the Destruction Demons only seems to be growing stronger. Even the revelations of how she ended up in her contract don’t seem to putting a dampener on things.
This book left me feeling warm and fuzzy. There was danger, evil and magic galore, but there was also the companionship and love between lovers and friends and the forming of a new kind of family.
This series continues to weave it’s way into my heart with it’s hot passions, deep affection and contracts that mean more than the words on the page. I particularly love the imps as they learn to become more than the formless blobs they arrived in. It’s a great series and I can’t wait for the new book, even if there is a really good HFN ending to this one.
