Lighthouse Security Investigations

I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old historical romance books. I’ve written as a hobby for over 30 years. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.
My first novel, Emma's Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series. From there I have continued with the romantic suspense Alvarez Security Series and now the Saints Protection & Investigation Series.
My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with.
I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.
I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 35 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters.
When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!

This is the 4th book in the series with Drew and Babs being the main characters, I have been lucky to receive the ARC and you will honestly not be disappointed with this book, You are hooked from the minute you pick this up so make sure you have time to sit and read this.
Babs boss pays for her to take a vacation but what a vacation this turns out to be, what was supposed to be a relaxing cruise really was not and when Babs decides St Lucia is the port to get off and take a hotel holiday the adventure really starts,
Drew has been trying to deny his feeling for Babs, all the LSI team are aware of the attraction but will this last minute break by Babs be the push he needs to admit his feelings.
Will Babs be able to confide and admit all the issues she has to Drew when she was captured previously, will this information be too much for Drew or will the alpha male come to her rescue.
No spoilers as it will ruin the story but the St Lucia break turns into a work situation and the whole team ends up coming to the island.
5* plus - you will not be disappointed by this book Maryann Jordan

Even though I haven't read the previous books in this series, it's easy to get sucked into Drew and Babs story. There's danger, action and sexy times. When Drew is sent down to rescue Babs from a vacation gone bad, they don't know just how hard they are going to have to fight for their happy ever after. She's holding something back and he's determined to find out what it is. This book had me hooked from the very first page and I just kept going until it was over. Ms. Jordan is a gifted writer and you can bet I'll be going back to read the previous books!!

I loved this story. Babs was so strong and has been through more than most know. Drew was an awesome hero.Drew was strong and supportive when Babs needed it most. Lots of action and drama along the way to their HEA.

I have to admit that while I am a fan of Ms. Jordan's writing and her series, this is my first Lighthouse Security Investigations book. I know I should have probably started from the beginning but I read it through and I was not confused at all as sometimes happens when starting a series in the middle. I do recommend starting from the beginning because of the other couples and pieces of their story that are mentioned.
Now having said that, I loved this book. Drew and Babs are opposites in a lot of ways but somehow it works for them. They have danced around each other for some time and a close call has Drew thinking hard about how short life is and with his friends urging him on he decides to go for it. Well that's all well and good but first he has to rescue her from the vacation from hell. You see Babs gets seasick and she decides to get off a cruise her boss sent her on after she recovered from an illness caused during a mission. Well as fate would have it, Babs ends up in the middle of a nest of pirates on land and on sea. It takes Drew and some of his Lighthouse colleagues to rescue her but she is no damsel in distress.
Ms. Jordan makes you feel as though you are in St. Lucia. I have never been there and I have to say that I learned a few things about the island after reading the book. Her characters draw me in and I have to read the story through in one sitting because I just can't put the books down. This one was no different. I had to read it in one day.
Babs is strong yet she is hiding something from everyone but Mace, only he knows her secrets and when she finally tells Drew, his reaction, well it made me like him that much more. Babs is also a badass and she can handle herself. She is strong and yet vulnerable, human. Drew is a gentle giant and it's easy to see why Babs falls for him. He is strong, protective, supportive and patient. He loves her unconditionally. In most stories that I have read, the woman is light to the man’s dark but in this case I felt it was the opposite. Drew is light to Babs dark. Ms. Jordan knows how to write a love story that draws you in and makes you fell as if you are there watching the action unfold. I am definitely going to buy the rest in the series. I have loved all of her series that I have read so far and this one is no different.

Drew is the fourth book in the Lighthouse Security Investigations Series. Each story is a standalone with connected characters. Both Drew and Babs work for Mace at LSI but Babs works in house and doesn’t usually go out on missions.
Reading the previous stories I knew there was something brewing between Drew and Babs, but both were trying to ignore the pull.
“Sweetheart, life happens. We just gotta roll with it. The great thing is when you got someone special to roll with.”
A giggle slipped out, and she said, “Jesus, Drew, there was so much sage advice in the middle of all that, and yet it still seemed funny.”
After a rough mission ended, Mace insisted that Babs needed a vacation and she goes on a cruise. But things do not go according to plan, Babs is not feeling her best and she ends up on an island, embroiled in trouble.
“Thank you,” he breathed. “Thank you for giving yourself to me.”
She opened her mouth to speak, but her words came out rough. She cleared her throat, took a deep breath and let it out slowly, and began again. “I could not have given this to you if I did not know how carefully you would have handled it.”
Babs is a great heroine. She used to work for the CIA and is a strong and capable woman but has trouble admitting her weaknesses. I loved seeing Babs open up to Drew and show him her vulnerabilities.
The story was loaded with romance, action and adventure that kept me flipping pages and reading beyond my bedtime!!

Worth the wait!
I have been on the edge of my seat waiting for this book since we first met Drew and Babs. The connection between them was palpable from the start so we knew their romance would be epic. And this book lived up to that expectation.
There are many vacation gone awry romance novels out there, but this one has a very unique twist to it. It was phenomenal. Just when Babs starts to enjoy her vacation something else goes wrong.
I highly recommend this book. It is the next in the Lighthouse Security series, but it is not necessary to read the others to fully enjoy this one. They so however enhance the tension leading up to this story.

I’ve been waiting for this story since book one in this series and it is absolutely fantastic! These two have been dancing around each other since day one. Beautiful Babs with her sarcasm and laughter and hunky Drew with his wit. They have fooled no one but themselves. After recovering from her poisoning Mace sends Babs on a Caribbean cruise that turns out to be a cruise from he🏒🏒. The loneliness is one thing but sea sickness has her jumping ship in Saint Lucia. Drew finally gets his head removed from his rear and goes to see where things go relationship wise and fly them back in a few days. Of course Babs finds trouble before he gets there and they find themselves running from pirates with a hurricane coming. This book is action packed, suspenseful, emotional (because Babs has secrets), romantic and steamy hot.

Office romances are a pretty hit and miss lot. But Drew and Babs at Lighthouse Security Investigations have been fighting their attraction for each other for quite a while. When Babs goes on a Caribbean cruise vacation that becomes a misadventure, Drew is more than willing to retrieve her. The adventure that follows is romance mixed with excitement. Learning more about each other they also discover pirates, corrupt cops and the terror the honest locals must endure amidst the beauty of the islands. The strength and love Drew and Babs share is wonderful. The love they have for each other is honest and true. I loved this book and this couple.

Wow! I have read the previous books in the series (strongly recommend you doing the same). This is a standalone book but so many beloved characters appear in each book. I reread book 1 and immediately started rereading the series AND purchasing the missing books (this was one of them). When is a vacation not a vacation? When 1) traveling alone, 2) getting seasick on your first cruise and 3) witnessing a murder. Page turner, unexpectant plot twists, humor, friendship and romance. This last was a long time in the making (as you would see in the earlier books). Bravo and so much more. Just what I would expect from Maryann Jordan and Lighthouse Security Investigations!

Well done entry to the Keepers' stories. Drew is their pilot and he has been flirt/joking with their administration person Babs,since they both arrived at Lighthouse Security. When Babs is sent on a forced vacation, her cruise becomes a disaster. The team arranges for Drew to fly down and bring her home. Drew is relieved because he wants to finally bare his soul to her. He also wants her safe. That goes very wrong and Drew and Babs need to save themselves. Babs also shares her past with Drew, increasing the trust between them.

One of my favourite authors and this series is excellent! She writes in a way that makes the storyline seem so plausible that you almost think your reading a news story!
I like the action and characters.
Ms Jordan has a knack for writing stories that draw you in and surrounds the reader, transporting you so that you feel like a character of the book.

questa storia si era intravista nei volumi precedenti, e parte proprio dalla fine dalla vacanza di babs
nel complesso la trama è di due amici che si sono rincorsi per qualche anno, però non mi ha preso come i precedenti forse per le troppe e diverse parti "action"
ancora tempi verbali non corrispondenti in alcuni passaggi e le virgolette chiuse, dove c'è un monologo

Nadal woman and an Alpha man
If you have read the LSI books before this one, then you know
who Bans is. What you learn in this book is why she is doing what she does now and many of the Service gets she has kept about what makes her look so sad at times. You learn about Drew and his denial of his attraction to Babs. Years of denial. What happens to these two fascinating people that moves them from cool to steamy. Great story!

Wow what an adventure
I knew the story of Drew and Babs would be exciting and was not disappointed. I couldn't imagine a vacation going anymore out of control. Luckily these two finally get together and fight their way to their happily ever after. Don't miss a minute of their adventure and their love story.

Loved it
I started this series about a week ago I always knew from book 1 I couldn’t wait for Babs story and I was so happy that it was with Drew.
So full of emotion I was swept away and actually felt like I was one with Babs and in parts relate to her story.

Facing Fears
Alone. You can do things by yourself or you can do things with others and still be lonely. There is a difference. Drew and Babs learn the meaning of both. Together. Doing things with other whose company you hopefully enjoy. This story shows us that love conquers all. We just have to believe.

Disappointed
Babs is a former CIA operative, yet there are times in this book where she comes across as a civilian, a damsel in distress needing a hero to save her. I would have thought Drew, having served as a pilot, would have less on the ground experience. These are just my opinions. Babs is still a great character and it's good to see her get her HEA.

Love Babs and Drew. Knew they were made for each other. Knew Babs had a traumatic experience not wanting to go on field missions. Never expected such horror.
Lot of excitement, but it definitely helps to heal Babs.

Awesome!
Babs has been a superior character in all the lighthouse books. Her love and adoration for Flyboy is infamous. Of course in the presence of co-workers she plays it as cool as possible but this couple was meant to be. This story was completely brilliant!

Drew and Babs both worked for Lighthouse Security Investigations. While attracted to each other they kept it to themselves. When Babs heads on vacation and ends up in the middle of a mess the time has finally come to act on those feelings

Drama, sex, and bravery! This book has it all. Drew figured he was alone in his feelings, Babs didn't know how to open up. The story had a deep emotional connection and a super intriguing plot.

Five stars aren’t enough for any book written by Maryann Jordan

Enjoyed this book, Drew & Babs were perfect for each other. Two people who were attracted to each other but were hesitant to make a move until situations caused them to reevaluate their relationship. Look forward to reading the next LSI book.

What a vacation from hell. Poor Babs, but very nice that it brought Drew and her together, finally. I hope Mace sends his people to Hawaii next time. So happy Babs decided to let go of the past and just enjoy moving forward in life. Now married and expecting their first child. 5 Stars!
