Well, I didn't like it as much as Recalcitrant Pony Boy mini-series by the same author.

This was not my kind of sexual slavery. In Pony Boy everything was institutionalised, strict and clear - the masters, trainers, grooms and ponies had their roles and they stuck to them.

Here Niko, the slave-pet, sometimes acted like a spoiled brat. And the master, Liam, gave him totally mixed signals: once treating Niko like a recalcitrant slave, once like a person of his own mind and almost on equal footing (e.g. knocking to enter his own room in his own house just because two pets were talking inside). So please, decide, either it's a Master/slave story, or a pet play story with two like-minded MCs.

The way Liam peppered affection on Niko and then pushed him away? I didn't like it.

Having read 4 novellas of Recalcitrant Pony Boy, I simply expected from Recalcitrant Pet something different from what I actually got...

I am going to read book 2, Recalcitrant Pet 2: The Master, because with two slaves, dominant Jayce and submissive Rian, sold to the same Master... I'm suspecting some kinky threesomes to happen ;)
