As an Award Winning and International Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo Best Selling Author, I have always been an avid reader. I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old historical romance books. I’ve written as a hobby for over 30 years. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.

My first novel, Emma's Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series. From there I have continued with the romantic suspense Alvarez Security Series and now the Saints Protection & Investigation Series.

My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with.
I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.

I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 35 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters.
When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!

Walker is the third book in the Lighthouse Security Investigations series by Maryann Jordan. Julie Baxter received an offer for a trip of a lifetime, taking three teenage students to Mexico for spring break. However, upon arrival, they were caught up in an earthquake and became stranded. One of the student's fathers contacted Lighthouse Security, and James Walker became involved in rescuing them from Mexico. Upon arrival, James Walker found the situation to be worse than they had initially thought, and Julie and James had to stay behind. At the same time, the children returned to the States. Readers of Walker will continue to follow Julie Baxter and James Walker to discover what happens next.

Walker is another fantastic addition to this excellent series by Maryann Jordan. I learn about the essential tourist areas of Mexico and their historical significance to Mexican history. Walker kept up the tradition of engaging with the characters and stories in this series.

I love Maryann Jordan's writing style and the way she portrays her characters and their interactions with one another throughout this book. Walker is well-written and researched by Maryann Jordan. I appreciate Maryann Jordan's description of the settings in Walker, which enabled me to envision myself as part of the book's plot.

I recommend this book.

I absolutely LOVED this story. Walker is the third book in the Lighthouse Security Investigations series. It can be read as a standalone but the characters from the previous stories in this series do make an appearance.

Julie Baxter is a schoolteacher touring Mayan ruins with a few students when an earthquake shakes up their trip. Walker is called in to help the stranded group return to the US. But a series of misfortunes land in their path and the road home is not so simple.

“You aren’t just a mission. You aren’t just a rescue. You aren’t just a woman I happened to cross paths with. Whatever you are, whatever we are…it’s a f*@ of a lot more than that.”

The story is jam packed with action right from the very start. I loved the fast pace and nonstop adventure.

Most of the action in the first half of the book takes place in Mexico. The author really brought the locations to life and made me feel like I was transported right into the story.

Once again, this very talented author managed to grab my attention from the first page to the last.
For those new to the series, Lighthouse Security Investigations is made up of former elite military individuals who now work together to bring justice to those in need , as well as working missions for the government and private parties.
This time the story belongs to Jame Walker, former SEAL who, along with another member, Drew, are assigned to rescue three teenagers , one of them a senator’s daughter, and their chaperone, Julie Baxter. While touring Mexico the girls and Julie are now stuck there after a devastating earthquake.
The action is non-stop and the danger ever present. While the girls are rescued, Walker and Julie are forced to stay behind. Time that brings them together, but also time in which they are in constant danger due to looters and the cartels and some additionally bad guys.
Aside from the engaging plot and the complex characters, I was enchanted with the Mayan stories and descriptions of the temples and sacred grounds. Having been to some of the areas mentioned , I was once again transported to that mystical area and now want to return to do more exploration.
All in all , another great addition to the series, and anxiously awaiting the next story in it. Will it be Bab’s and Drew ?
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

This is book 3 in the Lighthouse Security Investigations series and it stars Walker and Julie. He went to rescue a few women in Mexico. He didn’t count on falling for one of them. Walker and Julie had almost instant chemistry. The top of the pyramid was like a scene out of a dream. Their time in Mexico was almost like a honeymoon.

Even though this was a good story and I loved the characters, it was VERY predictable. The story line was missing excitement. Everything happened without too much interference. I look forward to the next book hoping the author ramps up the excitement factor a little more.

I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.

I loved Walker (Lighthouse Security Investigations, book 3). This story is about James Walker (AKA Walker) and Julie Baxter. Julie Baxter is a chaperone for three teenage girls in Mexico. One of those teenage girls is a senator’s daughter. Towards the last few days of their trip there is a devastating earthquake that destroys the resort that they are staying in. Enter in the looters and drug cartel that is among the danger that is always present. Walker and Drew are sent to Mexico to help find them and get them home. Due to circumstances surrounding the earthquake, Drew is forced rescue the teenage girls first, and then return to rescue Walker and Julie. As Walker and Julie are forced to stay behind, their emotions and physical attraction grow during this time. Without spoiling it for everyone, let’s just say that there is complication upon complication that makes their rescue impossible, which allows their relationship to grow. I am a big fan of Maryann Jordan’s, and have read all of her books. Walker (Lighthouse Security Investigations, book 3) is my new favorite. I loved the way Maryann Jordan gives us a history lesion with the Mayan stories and descriptions of the temples and sacred grounds. The character development, the beautiful love story, the drama, and the sex scenes…oh, the sex scenes is absolute perfection. Each book in this series can be read as a standalone, but I would suggest starting with Mace (Lighthouse Security Investigations, book 1), as all the characters recur throughout each book. I recommend Walker (Lighthouse security Investigations, book 3) as a must read. Thank you Ms. Jordan for another fantastic book. I am really looking forward to the next book in the series, and hopefully, that will be Drew and Babs story (if not, then soon I hope).

This is the newest book in the Lighthouse Security Investigations series and it can absolutely be read as a standalone! In this one we meet Walker and Julie. Julie was hired to chaperone 3 students for a trip into Mexico. All is going to what they planned until an earthquake strikes the region they are staying in, and they suddenly need help in order to get out. Walker and another Keeper are tasked with going in and getting them out. But after everything keeps going wrong, plans change and Walker and Julie need to stay behind. And while they are forced to keep moving to stay safe, they also spend time getting to know each other and just hope to have a chance to find out if it could be forever.

You can never go wrong with a Maryann Jordan book and this one definitely drew me in from the get go. Julie is this steadfast and practical woman who tries her best not to let the bad things in life drag her down. It was refreshing to have a character that doesn't throw a fit over something that can't be changed. I adored her because she just seemed to roll with the punches life hands her all while still managing to find things to be happy about. And even when she is scared, she still keeps pushing forward because she knows that she has to. That is true courage. I wasn't sure I liked Walker at first. He seemed like a jerk. But the more I read about him, the more I understood him. By the end I truly liked him because he is so overprotective that sometimes he just spews things out without thinking about it. And it made him seem more real to me. The action is non-stop in this one, which I loved! And of course the side characters are also great. I can't wait to get to Babs and Drew's story because I think their's will be a lot more involved and all these little glimpses just make me more intrigued by them!

When the history teacher is suddenly unable to accompany three teenagers to the Mayan ruins, Julie is offered the opportunity of a lifetime. The Senator asks Julie to escort his daughter and her two friends on an all expense paid trip. As the school counselor, Julie is very familiar with the girls and gladly accepts. While touring the Mayan Ruins, a earthquake strikes. Chaos, looting, and cartel movement occurs as a result. It is up to Julie to keep the girls safe until help arrives.

Walker, a former SEAL and CIA Special Ops guy, is now working for Lighthouse Security. Walker is assigned to retrieve Julie and the girls from Mexico. But things don’t go as planned. The helicopter isn’t big enough to carry everyone to safety, the cartels are threatening, and the Senator’s daughter falls ill. Julie and Walker stay behind, while the girls are flown to safety. Then they are to meet back up to catch the next helicopter flight, but things don’t go as planned-AGAIN. And danger follows them home...

Loved, loved, loved this novel! It’s the third novel in the Lighthouse Security series. While it can be read as a stand-alone, characters from the first two novels play integral roles in this story. It is by far, the best story in the series-so far. It’s action-packed, educational, and entertaining. Not to mention, the Alpha male hotness🔥. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

James Walker was a Navy SEAL, he joined Lighthouse Security Investigations after being medically discharged. He possesses a unique ability to know when something's going to happen. At least that's how it seems when he is startled awake for no apparent reason.

Julie Baxter is the chaperone for three young women from Florida, Tiffany, a Senator's daughter, and her friends Andrea and Jackie. They are touring the Mayan ruins in Mexico with a very knowledgeable and amiable guide, Hernando.
I really loved the descriptions of these ruins, they have been on my must see list for a very long time. I felt like I was climbing the pyramids with them. It was a delightful time until the earthquake hit and threw everything into chaos.

Tiffany's father calls in LSI, Drew and Walker are set to go. Unfortunately the helicopter they procure isn't big enough for everyone. It's decided that Walker would stay behind with Julie.

Staying ahead of cartel and looters isn't easy and these two have some interesting nights as they travel through the jungle. With beautiful scenery and more ruins, the heat between them kicks up a notch or three.

More changes, more twists and even more excitement back home. I really can't wait for the next book in this series. I really love all these characters.

"James" Walker is a former SEAL and CIA Special Ops who now works for Lighthouse Security Investigations. He and his co-worker Drew are dispatched to Mexico to fly out a Senator's daughter, her two friends as well as their adult chaperone when an earthquake strikes. It sounded like an easy mission but fate had other plans.

Julie Baxter is one a vacation that she is greatly enjoying. The girls she is chaperoning are wonderful and very well behaved. Julie is very organized and takes copious notes when visiting Mexico's many ancient Mayan ruins. She never expected to have to be rescued and then witness something she wasn't meant to see upon leaving the country.

She and Walker share an incredible adventure together while waiting to be rescued. Ms. Jordan wrote such romantic scenes in the Mayan ruins that I found myself wishing that I was Julie. The scenes were quite magical and extremely romantic. Their story pulled me in and well now I very much want to go see the Mayan ruins. To me that is the sign of a great book, it pulls you in and transports you to a different place. This story also sets the reader up for the next story in this wonderful series.

I can't wait to wait for the next one!!!

Walker is the next installment in Maryann Jordan’s Lighthouse Investigations series. Walker is tasked with going into Mexico to help rescue three high school students and their chaperone after an earthquake hits Mexico. Julie Baxter is a counselor who was asked to chaperone three girls on a tour of Mexico. Towards the end of the tour, an earthquake hits and looters begin to hit the hotel. Julie gets her charges out and they call for help. One of the girls father is a Senator and he calls in the Keepers. Walker and Drew head to Mexico but they must separate do to circumstances. Walker and Julie are on their own and must make their way to a new exit point. Along the way, romance blooms despite the dangers lurking. Eventually, they meet back up with Drew but something happens that causes danger to follow Julie home and back to Walker. This story drew me in from the start and never let go. Loved seeing the previous characters and the interactions of Drew and Babs. Walker was another great edition to this series. I received an authors copy and I have left an honest review.

What can I say, I love the Lighthouse Security Investigation books and Walker was no exception. They say there is someone for everyone but for Walker, even though he watched some of his fellow Keeper "take the plunge" he never thought it would be something he would find. Becoming the last minute chaperone to three teenage girls to see the Mayan Ruins in Mexico was a dream come true for Julie Baxter that is until a natural disaster hit where they had stopped in their travels. One of the girl's father is a powerful Senator who enlists the Keepers to get the three young women and their chaperone back to the USA safely. As seems to be the case with every woman who a Keeper finds interest in, there are some perils that must be overcome. This book will keep you on your toes as you wonder what danger might be around the next bend for Walker and Julie and will Walker be the next Keeper to succumb to love?

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.

An entertaining and romantic story set against the beautiful and fascinating Yucatan Peninsula and its rich Mayan history (having been lucky enough to have visited most of the places described in the book, Maryann Jordan’s writing is spot on). Walker is gorgeous, alpha, smart and protective, Julie is a strong, equally protective, determined and sexy woman hiding under a quiet exterior. It’s a case of instant attraction between these two and I love the fact that they both jump straight in, leading to plenty of steamy heat! It’s definitely not all plain sailing, there is action, some drama, a fair few obstacles for the couple to overcome and lots of support and interaction from the other the Keepers.

This is a great series from a superb author, well written and always leaving me impatiently waiting for the next instalment, the good news is there are plenty of Keepers still to come. Yay!

A great addition to the Lighthouse Security series. Walker is sent to Mexico with Drew to rescue a Senators teenage daughter, 2 of her friends and their chaperone, Julie after a earthquake hits the resort they are staying at. Walker and Julie must spend extra time in Mexico due to the limited transportation that is available after the earthquake. As they try to avoid trouble they cannot avoid the feelings they have for each other. You can tell that Maryann Jordan did a tremendous amount of research on the Mayan ruins and other historic buildings/areas in Mexico for this book. The story is fast moving and interesting. The descriptions of Mexico and of Maine are beautiful. This book teases us with some of the chemistry between Babs and Drew which is paving the way for their story next I believe.
An enjoyable book!

I’m a great fan of Maryann Jordan, her writing is brilliant and this one is no exception!
James Walker, a former SEAL & CIA Special Ops and now a Keeper for Lighthouse Security
Julie Baxter, chaperone to three teenage girls to the Mayan ruins in Mexico was having the vacation of a lifetime. These two meet when during the Mexico trip there is an earthquake. Walker is sent to rescue them and bring them all home. The chopper can only hold four people plus Drew (the pilot), so Walker stays with Julie. The chemistry between the two is palatable. But things are not what they seem as Julie has seen something she shouldn’t have. So now the drama begins, the chemistry escalates and the rescue is on!!! Oh what a story. Thank you so very much Maryann for allowing me to read this awesome book and give my voluntary review. I just loved it.

I absolutely loved this book, it had action, adventure and love. I loved all the twists and turns in this book. It was amazingly well written and flowed well from page to page. I loved reading about the charecters in this book past and present.

Julie was a sweet lady with a backbone and she definitely strands up for herself, she is also very protective of those she cares for. Walker is your ex-Military Alpha man who always has a plan for a plan and a plan for that plan, he loves his family and friends dearly. When these two collide there will be sparks to ignite fireworks, they were not expecting each other to efect them so deeply.

I would recommend this book and author to anyone who loves a beautiful love that touches the soul and heart of the reader, I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have. Happy Reading ♡

Maryann Jordan gives us a wonderful romance, history lessons and a travelogue all wrapped up in a fabulous book. This was definitely a treat to read. Julie Baxter and James Walker found love among the Mayan ruins as they trek their way across the Yucatan penninsula. This is not a book full of fast paced, hard hitting action rather there are elements of danger and suspense that capture your attention and keep you turning the page. The whole LSI team moves to keep Walker sane and Julie protected when the danger follow her home to Florida

I have yet to meet a Maryann Jordan character that I did not like... exluding the bad guys, of course. Walker and Julue are no exception. I have to say that Julie and Walker's love scene atop the ancient Mayan observatory was beautiful and almost sizzled off the page. A love story well woth your time to read.

Walker and Julie

I keep saying this about each of the “Keepers” but I’m in love with Walker! A chaperone and her 3 teenage wards are on a two week vacation to Mexico visiting the Mayan Ruins when an earthquake occurs. The LSI are called on my a Senator from Florida whose daughter is on the trip to rescue the four. When only a small helicopter is available Walker and Julie are left to to find their way in a country ravaged by the quake and looters and the cartels. These two have quite the adventure and get really close. When they’re finally able to leave Mexico Julie witnesses an execution behind the airstrip and the group flies out with bullets flying. Back in Florida the couple separates with confusing feelings. It seems that danger has followed Julie home and Walker is determined to keep her safe. Lots of action, suspense and steam.

The Keepers have a new mission.
Walker and Drew are sent to Cancun, Mexico to rescue Julie, a chaperone and three teenage girls who are on a trip when an earthquake strikes.
Gangs have taken over the city and no one is safe. Drew is forced to leave with the girls and Walker and Julie must find their way out of the city. Along the way they stop and explore the ruins and some pretty unique and special places.
But I think they enjoy each other the most.
This is a pretty fantastic story!
Not only is the storyline pretty hot and steamy, it’s also filled with really fascinating history and detailed scenes that made me fall in love with this story. “I voluntarily received this arc book for an honest review”

A great story as always!

Maryann Jordan is always a one-click author for me, as always her newest book becomes my favorite!
Julie is on a trip of a lifetime chaperoning 3 girls in Mexico visiting the ruins. Their trip comes a abrupt halt when a earthquake hits. The governor the father of one of the girls sends a rescue team to get them out.
Walker a member of the lighthouse team is feeling restless when the call comes in to rescue the girls and their chaperone he jumps at the chance!
This story is filled with adventure, culture, instant attraction and in Maryann’s style just enough suspense.
Maryann Jordan has gone her research of the area in Mexico after reading this you’ll want to jump on a plane and go explore!

Vacationing gone horribly wrong...righted

Julie is a private high school counselor in Florida. She's having the trip of a lifetime chaperoning three high school girls with a private tour guide around the Yucatan of Mexico. Their tour is almost complete when nature strikes. Chaos ensues and it falls to Julie to keep the girls safe, at least til Lighthouse Security Investigations can find a way to get to them through the tumult. Walker and Drew are the two LSI agents making their way south. Cartels, crooked cops and military and a countryside in turmoil make what should have been an easy in and out rescue much more dangerous and unexpected. Turns out Julie's meticulous planner and Walker's methodical mission planning will not be enough. But their quick thinking, consciousness and protectiveness of each other will win their day in the long run. Good timing, interesting travelogue, unexpected twists and turns and two very likeable heroes make this an interesting and enjoyable read.

Being a huge fan of this authors books I was excited to read another instalment from the Lighthouse series. We’ve met Walker in the previous books and I was intrigued to see who his ideal girl would turn out to be. For Julie a trip to Mexico as a chaperone turned out to be more than just a simple trip. As LSI is needed to rescue the girls Walker and others from LSI come to the rescue. What follows is the quick progression from attraction to love. Along the way some intense drama and all the other ‘Keepers’ help to keep Julie safe. Great story and a fabulous series. Cannot wait for the next book.

Walker
(Lighthouse Security)
Maryann Jordan

Once again Maryann Jordan has woven a story of intrigue, suspense, and romance that keeps you reading until the end. Make sure you have time or you will be reading until the wee hours of the morning.
Walker goes to rescue 4 damsels in distress after an earthquake hits Mexico. Little realizing the life changing impact Julie will have on him.
Love the way the history of the Mayans was woven throughout the story.
Once again the Keepers pull together to keep the innocent safe while supporting one of their own.
Another must read in this great series.

Absolutely loved Walker

Can I just say I absolutely loved this book. Walker: Lighthouse Security Investigations is Book three in this series and it was fantastic, it has adventure, action, excitement and love. Maryann Jordan has done it again in my opinion a five star rating and definitely well worth the read. The characters were so amazing, smart, honest and lovable. This is Walker and Julie story and they have such an incredible chemistry you could feel it coming off the pages. I absolutely loved this book and 100% recommend it. If you love strong beautiful female characters and hot and loving alpha males this is the story for you.

Breathtaking country, a chaperone and her 3 charges are having the trip of a lifetime when a natural disaster occurs and LSI sends in Walker and a team to rescue them. From there surprises abound, splitting them up to get the girls home safely, Walker and Julie stay in the shadows to avoid cartels, looters and end up with Julie seeing something she should not have seen. Can Walker and LSI protect her? Can they walk away from each other? Grab this awesome, page turning, suspenseful romance...you'll be glad you did!!

This story is about Walker and Julie. Julie chaperones 3 teenage girls on a trip to Mexico when there is an earthquake. Walker and Drew fly to Mexico to rescue them and bring them home. The chopper they get can only hold 4. While Drew takes the girls home Walker stays with Julie. As usual things never go as planned. Julie sees something she shouldn't have seen and LSI must come to the rescue. A great story with romance and suspense. Once again a great story by one of my favorite authors.

The latest in the Lighthouse Security Investigations series, Walker is a story full of history, suspense, and romance. What seems like a quick in and out mission of rescuing 3 teenagers and their chaperone after an earthquake, soon changes to a race to get out of a dangerous situation. The Keepers get together to help their own and we see the dynamics between Drew and Babs grow while Walker and Julie form their own connection. Great read. I received this as an ARC and voluntarily give my review.
