“Never tiptoe through life, Luna. Let them hear every motherfucking step you take, Meu Tesouro.” That’s what my father once told me.
Featherstone thought they broke me in The Pyramid but it’ll take more than their half-assed attempts on my life to truly tear me down.
I'll learn who I can trust, as I uncover the secrets and lies that surround me.
So here I stand. With the loyalty and strength from the Aceholes, I’ll forge my own path. They’ll continue to claim me, crumbling my walls as they go, a clear fuck you to the consequences.
Remembering there are good people in this messed up world is easy when Red is around. There are innocent people worth fighting for.
I’ll let them think they’re winning as I play my role, always staying one step ahead at their own damn game.
I made a promise to my father, my footsteps won’t be loud...they’ll be deafening.
Your Bloodline is the second book in the Featherstone Academy Series This book contains dark content that may be considered a trigger for some readers. With that in mind it is recommended for readers 17+ This is a full-length reverse harem college romance novel, meaning the main character has more than one love interest. It also contains M/M scenes of intimacy, but ultimately Luna is their number one.
Look we all have an inner bitch. But like, my inner bitch only comes out to play at clubs when dudes are staring too long. Or at lines at food courts when I’m hungry. NOT EVERY FUCKING DAY.
Luna is just annoying as shit with her entitlement attitude and inner bitch.
I stand by my initial review; I absolutely adore this series. Although this time, I can't pick favorites because I love all the characters equally.
Initial review: This just keeps getting better and better! It's incredibly addictive! I love Luna and Red, I love the guys (although Oscar and Parker still hold a special place in my heart) and I love the story. The plot twist at the end floored me. Can't wait for the next book!
Underworld Family Drama, Hot Guys with Issues and the Girl who’s Up for Saving Them
In this second book we continue to find, out more about Luna’s past relationships, and how Rafe, West and Roman all figure.
We also find out more about the bloodlines involved in “The Ring” and THEIR nefarious past and present.
This is also the book where Luna... LOSES HER FRECKIN MIND!
OMG! ...Seriously,
Amongst all the drama surrounding her, I’m surprised Luna can keep her mind in the game. She’s practically melting and creaming her panties every time the boys look at her or touch her.
There’s only so much sex talk, ogling of the guys., Luna getting all hot and bothered, that I could stand. I mean, how many times does she get caught drooling over the guys. How many times do we have to READ about her getting caught drooling over the guys. I’m amazed she is able to function properly as she seems to be in a constant orgasmic state, down for sex at any moment.
We get the usual RH scenarios. Is it just me or (perhaps) authors are hiring the same ghost writers to write these parts? Every RH book has THE SAME OUTCOMES! They are becoming predictable.
All the boys are hiding their sh*** lives behind a front of bravado ( except Parker. Parker is an emotional ball of contradiction ) All have issues. But don’t worry, because the beautiful, green eyed feisty, Luna is going to take them all on.
In this book she is the guys fairy godmother....Well a fairy godmother who likes to F*** ...A LOT.
Mothering them, encouraging them to confront their past family dramas while they bang the F out if each other.
She’s their goddess. Their Queen...And doesn’t she just lap. It. Up.
Also, Can I just say, ....What an interfering pain in the a** Red is also in this book. (Wouldn’t be surprised if she’s the heir)
You get the impression she’s pushing Luna to get back with all the boys because she doesn’t have a romantic interest (or any other interests for most of the book) so she gets to hang around the guys, be part of ‘the family’ and hear all the sex talk . Yeah all Red wants is “the juicy details”
At times I just want her to butt the F out! She’s such an Mary ANNOYING sunshine!. Probably farts rainbows. Also, Can we all see the author pushing Maverick and one other...(*cough* RH)in her direction...Hmmm
The Independent Luna from the first book is gone. Now she’s more emotional than a pregnant women. Needy for the guys and physical contact ALL.THE. TIME. It takes a long a** time for anything to happen with the plot progression in this book due to all of the above.
When it does they are bang it out. (to ground themselves)
There also seems to be chapter, after chapter of cutsy movements between the guys Luna and Red as they re- establish their relationships after the ending of the previous book.
We get inner monologues like this from Kai -
“They’re looking at her like she hung the moon, and I’m quite sure she did” - barf
It all gets a bit sickening after awhile and takes away from the story.
BUT! ...back to the (other) story. The Ring. In particular the evil ones Tony ‘The Totem” , Veronica, Rico and Babette AND....
FINALLY. THE END... YEP, towards the end (all the good stuff happens towards the end) we get to the action
Once again Luna takes a knock to the head but, once again our plucky heroine comes through. At the end we get one wedding and a funeral. PLUS! The promise of the (hunger) games to come. That all of the Aces, participation in it is mandatory.
So, overall, a lot of sex, sex talk, back and forth between Luna and the guys. Lots of hand clapping and silly grinning from Red (Jessica) Lots of phone calls and busts between Luna and Rafe. And lots of secrets uncovered and relationship mending. ***
All I ask for is for a least one of them not to survive “The Games” They are NOT super humans for f sake.

Reading this was like listening to a song stuck on repeat. The same conversation and inner monologues that never go anywhere. The author drags out the most basic points over pages and pages of self reflection. It was maddeningly slow!
The MC sounds like billie butch with so many skillsets it is amazing she isn’t a Swiss army knife.
The first book blew me away and this one did the exact same! I honestly didn't think it could get any better but this book did not disappoint and I cannot wait for book 3 and to see how everything turns out for these amazing people! I'm also kind of hoping there will be a Red/Mavrick/West book in the future!!!! Not sure if West even fits into that but I'm hoping he does!!!
All I’m going to say is, I’m in shock. This series just keeps getting better and better. This book gave me a plot twist I did not see coming and it entertained me from start to finish.
Let me tell you this book was a page turner. I definitely recommend reading. Toodles!
This book blew me away so much!!! There were so many mouth dropping moments that I am pretty certain my blood pressure spiked at! Luna is my favorite type of character and she grows so much in this book. We get to see a softer side of her and is opening herself up to feeling, trusting, relying on others, and not going at it alone. Lunas growth in this book is beautiful.
There are 3 major moments for me that I did not see coming after reading book one. They still blow my mind when I think about them. KC does an excellent job of weaving the story into a complex and brilliant composition. There are highs...there are lows...there are fan yourself steamy moments...there are a lot of swoony moments...and a lot of heartfelt moments.
The Aceholes and Red are superb and show a lot of character development, especially with Oscar and Kai. If you are not loving Oscar after this book, please check your pulse to make sure you are alive!!!! Because it is not possible.
Some new allies, some broken trusts, some healed memories and a lot of kickbutt moments round out this book that ends in an epic way. The last line will leaving you screaming.... “Dayum....Mic. Dropped.” Or at least it did for me 😍 I’m so excited for this series to continue and can not wait to see more of the crew. Multiple POVS. High Steam. MM. possible triggers for violence and sexual abuse.
This book picks up right where book one left off, which had Luna understandably being a complete emotional wreck! Between her assignment, the guys, the secrets, the reveals, and the Pyramid which all took place in about 24 hours it's honestly a testament that she lasted as long as she did! I'm proud that she took the whole experience as a sign that it was time to face her past and that she didn't shy away from doing so as she previously would have. She also lasted a whole lot longer than I thought she would when it came to resisting the guys! I felt kind of bad for most of them since it was mainly Roman that caused everything to blow up in their faces but their determination to win her back despite the dangers that would come with being with her made me love them even more! It also made the tension between them skyrocket and I was eating it up! The payoff was so worth it in the end and somehow the spice got even better as the book went on! 🥵🤌🏻
The guys' overall chemistry and banter continued to bring a smile to my face anytime it was put in the spotlight and watching Oscar be so protective of Red that he basically turned into an annoying big brother was SO SWEET TO ME! It was also hilarious cause they were at each other's throats the entire time but you could still feel the begrudgingly platonic affection between them! 🤣 I also loved the expansion of our little Featherstone family that came with the formal introduction of some of the other Ring members! There were also multiple moments in this book that made me a lot more emotional than I ever would have anticipated! The big reveal scene with Rafe had me tearing up from all the feelings I experienced, which is actually a little impressive considering it was such a small part of the story when you think about everything else that happens!
Speaking of, THAT ENDING?! MIND. BLOWN. The ending overall already had me jumping and squealing because of how awesome that entrance was but that one line ending? Talk about jaw dropping! If you need me I'll be starting Our Bloodline ASAP so I can be entertained by all of the incoming fallout! 🤭😈
Luna’s story continues in Your Bloodline, where we learn more about her past with Rafe & she grows more with Roman, Oscar, Parker, & Kai.
This book, heck, this whole series has a grip on me & has become one of my all-time favorite series & easily one of my favorite comfort reads.
These characters, Luna, in particular, is such a well written character that I was immediately drawn in by her story & her strength throughout the series.
Luna is one of my favorite female characters & this world is one I can’t seem to get enough of.
This book was an absolute smash success with me & had me already getting the next book because I always binge read it.
It’s been a while since a series had me so wrapped up in it. I love Luna. Parker, Roman, Kai and Oscar are all firm favourites on my book boyfriends list now too. I’m going straight into book 3 as these are just that addictive. I can’t put them down. I love the storyline, the characters, even the bad guys. Brilliant writing and I’ll be reading more from this author in the future. Mafia/ academy / crime family RH done amazing. 10/10
I just keep loving this series and this is seriously a whole ass journey.
Luna is SUCH a good heroine. I just love how much she can hold her own and how powerful she is without the four guys. They all are great together, but it’s nice to see her be just as great by herself.
Side note: I cannot wait for Reds books!!!!!!!! She’s such a fun character I can’t wait to see her pov.
There is a reason this is such a popular RH. It has a strong FMC and a varied group of MMCs. Each relationship is unique and supportive in different ways. Plus, it is high steam with a great plot!
The series is high steam with MF, MM, MFM, MMFM + content.
This is a reread and a favorite with multiple highlights and bookmarks. I have recommended it countless times, and will continue to do so.
Audiobook Review The audiobook is dual-style narration, with the female narrator reading Luna's chapters (and doing the male voices in those chapters) and the male narrator doing all the male chapters (and doing the female voices in those chapters). Personally, I am not the biggest fan of the female narrator, as she does not match with how I think Luna would sound, but she does do a good job and has grown on me as I have listened to the trilogy. It is still worth the credit to hear a favorite story come to life.
Genre: Contemporary Academy Romance Tropes/Features: Academy (College), Found Family, Touch Her and Die, Revenge Plot, Organized Crime Narrator: Multiple 1st Person POV Relationship Type: Why Choose w/MM Book Type/Ending: 1st in Series w/ cliffhanger TW/CW: Some dark content (on page death, beatings)
Solid sequel! Luna remains a badass, fierce and loyal. The guys grew on me even more than the first one. Love how they care for Luna and Red by association, and how they care for each other. I love how sexuality is being explored, and really enjoy those scenes. The lightness of Oscar’s character and the humor he brings at the needed times was great too.
There’s a lot of mystery surrounding certain things and we’ve slowly started to unravel things. There’s still a lot missing, and I hope the third one gives us all the answers. The cliffhanger though, phewwww. I usually hate when things happen off the page to leave us hanging, but thinking back there were a lot of clues hinting to something. I should’ve paid closer attention, but i love how it was done.
But, like with the first one, I just think this could’ve done with tighter editing for dialogue and less Britishisms from the characters since it does take place in the US. I am excited for the third one and glad i read these books with only a few days to go to wait!
Man things are really picking up.. it’s getting more and more dangerous and more and more sexy because Oscar is exploring and it so freaking hot.. I seriously love this series. I’m like constantly looking to see where I am cause I don’t want it to end. I love books like this. That shocker at the end too.. whoa like whoa..these boys stories broke my heart. I love Oscar so much. He’s so fun yet he can kick some serious butt. I love Parker and Roman too. Can we get an Amen for those two.. they are so hot .. like macaroni in a pot hot.. Kai is starting to open up more and that gets my girly parts excited like nothing else.. I love Luna she’s a serious boss. Sassy and witty., smart and tough.. I can’t stop telling you how much I love this series.. I think Red is the heir... I could be wrong but we shall see..
Well... I’m broken and I need more. Way way way more! I am ruined for any other reverse harem. I also cannot even imagine writing a long review because - I must keep reading!
Recommend: Yes Spice: 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ Age recommendation: 22-40 Years World: One Mortal World
Plot:
Luna Finds it hard to talk to or see the boy after what happened in the pyramid. She hasn’t forgiven rowan for holding information back from her and choses to push them all away. When she gets back to Featherstone she finds red has plans to get them all back together. Red of course is successful and Luna forgive them all. Wren is still out for blood and break into her room to plant cameras. When Luna walks in she finds her mother in there waiting for her, and her mother tells her that RaFe and her Father were in fact lovers making Rafe her father not her step dad like she thought. She takes this news well and gives Rafe back a piece of the past he hasn’t had for years. She finds out her mother was only an egg donor not her actual mother. They make a plan to get back to wren but find themselves (luna nd Parker) kidnapped by Rico, Her mother and the head of featherstone. They fight back in the car and kill the 2 men and capture her mother. They find out her mother is working for totem. When they arrive at the games they approach the Ring with her other tied up. Luna shoots her mother in the head and blames rico and the head of feather stone for working with totem. She also lets the bomb drop that Parker and her are now married, which puts Parker on her blood line not his fathers so he can no longer control Parker.
My feelings:
Well now didn’t I throw mu kindle across the room! I cannot even imagine what others did before me.! Im late to reading this series so I can move on to book 3 without any issues but everyone else would have died!
Luna you devious girl! I LOVE YOU! So dam strong but also a wimp. I love how she can shoot someone dead but runs away screaming from a spider in the bathroom!v my type of girl! Im sooooooo glad you killed your mum, I hated her!v and im even more happy that she wasn’t your mum anyway. Im so glad she remembered that race was her dad. I loved how he turns to mush for her!
Roman, oh you sweet soul! There is a tender side in there, I wonder when you will fully show it! I cannot wait to see it. I love how comfortable with his sexuality he is. I also love how quickly he flys off the handle! I cannot wait to see what he is like as an assassin. He is so hot I cannot see him keeping his head and being cool to kill people.
Kai…. Oh my sweet soul there is something in there I need to see. He holds so much close to his heart and doesn’t lose his hat. Im interested to see if he turns to jelly or goes insane when he get angry. He is always so calculated. But I feel like he has a Crazy side we don’t see.
Oscar, soooo many jokes but I feel like he is broken underneath. I do love how he is the first to admit he might love luna. First to say to them all that its different with her and that he doesn’t understand it. I also love how he notices he might like men as well as women and wants to explore it. And how luna thinks its hot as fuck that he wants to! I wanna watch it play out! There is gonna be some super spicy chapters on the way!
Parker, oh you little fire cracker. Luna has brought out the dominate side of him for sure. I love how he is finding his balls and finally using them. I also love how open he is with his sexuality and is happy to allow Oscar to explore his with him. I feel like he has a sadistic side that hasn’t come out yet. I feel like it will in the games. I think he will end up killing so many people and will happily kill more.
“Papa,” I whisper, and his face crumbles at the crack in my voice, tears instantly streaking his face like mine. I throw myself at him, my arms wrapping around his neck as I squeeze with all my strength. He lifts me off the ground with his hold tight around me. I’m not sure if it’s my heart pounding I can feel or Rafe’s, likely both.
This is a series that I started once, then DNF'd after a few chapters for whatever reason, then went back and actually read the eBook instead of listening to the audiobook. I'm not sure exactly what happened in the meantime, but the storyline definitely seemed to grow on me. Of course, you also have to kind of just throw out any type of a realistic believability factor, but once you do - then you can just tag along for the ride. (I mean, this is a school/college for kids of underground crime families where the focus is on surviving. Yep , you read that right, death is definitely on the table with the events and/or challenges that students have to survive to continue moving on as part of the curriculum. So, yeah, just toss out the feelings of "you have got to be kidding me" and you should be fine.
So now this is the second book in the series. The world has been established and we have come to know the main characters quite well. This is a RH book and for the most part, I liked all of the 4 male MC's. Sometimes in this genre, there can be one or two characters that just seem to rub you the wrong way. In this case, Oscar, Roman, Parker and Kai are all really nice guys with what appear to be sincere feelings for our female MC Luna.
In the first book, it took me a while to warm up to Luna. To me, she was a challenge to like and it wasn't as easy as I would have hoped for to root for her. In this book, I'm not sure if she just grew on me or if I just began to understand her a little more, but I began to like Luna and her men (the Steele's).
I listened to this book almost completely on audio and had no problems with the narrating duo of Aaron Shedlock and Hollie Jackson. Yes, this book ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, but apparently that did its job because I am invested enough to immediately start on book 3 to find out what is going to happen next.
So yes, definitely an interesting premise. Believable...no not really, but honestly, it is interesting enough to overlook that :)
When we last saw Luna she had just finished the pyramid and promised death to Rico and his followers. At the beginning of this book all of her aceholes were trying to get Luna to come back to them, thanks to red they succeeded. Fast forward to the ending because KC Kean dropped a lot of Wtf bombs at me, I'm not gonna spoil it for anyone but it'll make you wanna reread just to check for the things you think you missed... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Side note omg Oscar and Parker are killing me 🤤🤤🥵🥵
even though I loved book one, i definitely had a lot of issues with this book. HOWEVER, that being said - this series is still an amazing series and 100% worth reading! the plot itself is sooo good, the whole thing reminded me a lot of Hannaford Prep and i could not get enough of it. but in this book i felt like Luna was a totally different character. she lost a lot of her senses whenever she was with the guys, looking at the guys, touching the guys, anything with the guys. it was just too much. and the series plot was so good that i actually wanted less sexy stuff and started skipping it. (and also less use of the word Acehole(s)). but the end of this book was wild and i couldn’t put it down, which lead me to immediately dive into book 3. so overall, even with my issues with this book it’s such an amazing series that i still recommend it!
Sassy queen FMC... check Brilliant, awesome, Dom as fuck men... check
Storyline that gets crazier around every turn with blackmail, scams, crazy dangerous situations, a dash of murder and so, so many lies. Omg. I'm so hooked it's ridiculous. And that ending???? DID NOT SEE THAT SHIT COMING!!!
I don’t know why I’m loving this series so much. It’s silly, steamy, dark, and violent with lots of killing and blood spray. Perfect escapist reading. 2024 reading challenge-a book that is part of a series
