Most of these generic books end when the H and h form a couple, leaving us readers to believe that they will spend the rest of their lives in perfect D/s bliss. Few explore what happens when -- for any number of reasons -- this relationship no longer works. While I've read a couple, none ask the question that this series does: how do you reignite the spark between you when it's been dimmed by jobs, house, and kids? While BDSM (or, rather, the lack of it) is the stated subject here, it's used as a metaphor for two things: youthful energy and joy, and the trust/connection necessary for any romantic relationship to flourish.
This book is the first of four centering on a group of friends who met years ago when they were all active in their local kink scene. During one of their yearly outings, they all note that they are neither as young as they used to be nor as connected to their wives/subs since BDSM play has slowly taken a backseat to the challenges and minutia of their daily lives. Swearing to change this, each man returns home with a plan. Based on Logan, it seems that each volume is a stand-alone in terms of the titular character and couple, but gives us hints about the subsequent books. In addition, characters from one of Ms. Angel's other contemporary BDSM series -- Stronghold -- appear, but are not important to the action. (Side Note: Loved the shout-out to Masters of the Castle Box Set.) There is one character who appears here who does not seem related to either series that I suspect at some point will get his own book.
Leaving aside the fact that only in this genre could anyone in their '30s no longer be considered young, Logan and Felicity are an appealing couple whose sex life has been nearly non-existent since the birth of their two young children. After a particularly bone-headed move, Logan goes out of his way to make amends to his wife; the rest of the story details how he does this.
If you're looking for a consensual BDSM book with well-described sex scenes between two likeable characters, you will probably enjoy this -- particularly if you enjoy the second-chance romance trope. I particularly appreciated that Ms. Angel does not claim that sex -- BDSM, vanilla, whatever -- can fix everything. Other aspects of a relationship (communication, household tasks, etc) must be addressed.
4 stars since their conflicts work out a little too neatly and many details of their lives are left out (such as what they do for a living), but I'm raising it for this: “Do you think because Felicity is a woman, she should have to shoulder more childcare duties than you?” I don't know when Ms. Angel began writing this book or if she's just preternaturally prescient, but this problem is very topical right now. Many articles state that working mothers do more than their fair share of household tasks -- an inequity exacerbated by the pandemic (see, for example, https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/06/up...). Ms Angel's critique of this and her depiction of body positivity provide very welcome and very timely substance to underpin the kink.

The first thing I’ll tell you is that this story is more than meets the eye, sort of speak. You think you’re just going to get a sexually driven escapade / moment in time from our two leads but no, you’re going to get more, and you will love it! You see, Logan is going to get a bit of a reality check when he approaches Felicity with his plan to put the D back in the Dom! From there you get a fantastic story full of heat and heart!
There are a bunch of reviews already giving away entirely too many plot points of this story so I’m not going to add to that but I do want to say how refreshing it is to read a story about a couple after the HEA and also for the story to be realistic and relatable. I really love this concept and can’t wait to read about the rest of the Dad Doms!

I was really excited to start this series. It was nice to see a couple who while dealing with kids, jobs, and everyday regular life kinda lost their spark a little and their fit bods as well. Like what happens to a lot of couples. Logan and his 3 friends (each one has their own book in this series), all into BDSM, on a yearly get together talk about how things have gotten to be this bad and what the "Dad Bod Doms" are gonna do about it to get their spark/lives back.
As someone who has been married for 17 years with 3 kids, I could really relate to Logan and Felicity. This was sweet and light hearted with lots of kinky steam as well. After the bombshell dropped at the very end I can't wait to read Henry's story to see what the heck happened.

This is a brilliant concept. Most of the books we read have young/youngish hunks with young/youngish women with bodies that haven’t stretched to accommodate children and their needs – but that’s not desperately realistic. The Dad Bod Doms are, as the name indicates, a group of men with dad bods, all of whom have had their marriages/relationships impacted by life, childbearing, and childrearing. And, when they decide to work to get their relationships back, you can just imagine the fallout all round. Logan is the first of the Doms, and, after he badly misreads a situation with his wife Felicity, the wakeup call makes him refocus and the couple’s quest to reconnect fully takes them to a club recommended by a Stronghold Dom (for those fans of Stronghold!). The writing’s good, the story’s fantastic, and the heat is scorching. I’m looking forward to the other Dad Bod Doms too, if this is representative of those!

Another awesome book in this little series about 4 friends determined to get their marriages back on track. This one is Logan and Felicity's story. Life always has a way of stealing away the sexiness in a marriage, especially with 2 young kids. Logan realizes how bad he's messed up when Felicity screams at him to get out of the house. I mean, he just wanted a few minutes of downtime by himself. It NEVER dawned on him just how much Felicity did until he went to his sister's for the night. He knows he has to make things right. Felicity is the only woman he wants and she needs help, which he hasn't been giving. There's just something great about watching a husband who knows he messed up, try and make amends. Can he be the husband and Dominant he used to be when they were first married? This calls for major planning because Logan is determined to make the changes he needs to get back his wife and his marriage. The scenes between them were smoking hot and made me squirm a bit. This is one you really don't want to miss, especially if you a fan of Golden Angel!!!

Awesome Start to a Sexy Series
I absolutely love everything Golden Angel writes. She's one of my go to writers for BDSM novels that are realistic, sexy, and fun to read. Although, I'm no stranger to questionable consent stories or dark BDSM stories I love that Golden Angel shows the everyday aspect of the life style. Dad Bod Doms: Logan not only shows BDSM realistically but marriage as well. At the beginning of the book Logan and his friends realize that their marriages have lost their kink. They decide to spend the next year fixing it. In Logan's case he realizes far more is wrong in his marriage than just no kinky sex. He and his wife Felicity navigate years of habits, kids, crazy work schedules, money, and feeling sexy as they age. As they start really looking at their lives both realize some hard truths about themselves. ⠀

Romances are often about the beginning of relationships. This series is refreshing in that it looks at life after the HEA. It very realistically goes into all the stress that is adulthood. But there's the upside of adulthood that's shown too. The love and understanding that can come from a long relationship. The rediscovering of that sexual spark. The joys of parenthood, yes they exist lol. I absolutely loved how Logan found his inner Dom and was able to meet his wife's needs. I loved how Felicity dealt with mom guilt, the urge to take care of everyone but herself, and learned to let things go and also find time for herself. One of my favorite moments was Felicity and Logan getting ready to go to the BDSM club. This is got to be one of my favorite couple moments ever. Logan is building up Felicity and in turn find his confidence, and really how beautiful is this quote:⠀

Yes!! We finally get a point of view after the Dom marries his sub and they have kids. Their ever changing body, where to fit in kink and keeping that spark alive and not getting too complacent is the struggles we see in this book. This story is really relatable even if you don’t practice the D/s aspect in your daily lives. Four Doms get away for a weekend every year and reminisce but this year Logan issues a challenge to the others but will he be the first to “lose” the challenge? Felicity feels like she has lost that spark with Logan and she is just so tired dealing with the kids and work that she just doesn’t know how to get it back. Will a couples retreat put the spark back in their marriage?

This book is all about when a Dom and Sub get married and real life hits. Logan and Felicity are married got kiddos real life has kicked in and there both tired and not communicating well. When Logan hangs with his friends they set a Dad Bod Dom challenge he takes it seriously and he comes home but he's still not listening to his wife. When Felicity finally looses it on him and kicks him out for the night I was really shocked that he listened and went to his sisters and actually listens to her and her wife. He does a complete 180 and actually pampers her and makes sure she remembers how cherished she is. They each change and they each adapt to helping each other more and its really sweet to read about.

I do so love the way Golden Angel writes the lifestyle! Wrapped in love and care, just about nothing is better than pleasure with a bite of pain. And this book? It SPOKE to me!! Fourteen years of marriage and a 13 year old daughter, it’s so easy to fall in that rut and never get out. I just FELT the Dad Bod Doms so HARD. I absolutely cannot wait to check out the other books in this series and maybe find some new to me authors. 💜

Amazing Start to the Series.
I LOVED this book and am hooked on the concept of the series. I don't think there are near enough romances based on married couples, couples with kids AND kinky couples yet too.
Logan and Felicity had let their marriage and relationship settle until it allowed for festering resentment and no intimacy. I appreciated Logan's eye opening moment of clarity and his effort to change and improve his relationship.
The kink play dynamic was a lot of fun and was great to see how a married couple with kids successfully kept that (or in this case brought it back) into their relationship.
I cannot wait to read the rest of this series and see how each of the guys in the Dad Bod Doms fixes their failing relationship(s).

Such a sexy fun read! This book follows Logan and Felicity as they juggle their married life, kids, and careers. When Logan messes up and finds himself at his sister’s house it gives him the wake up call he needs. Logan is determined to make changes and to reconnect with his wife. I absolutely loved Logan and Felicity’s story and their chemistry is sizzling. An incredible story and highly recommend you read it for yourself.

Dad Bod Doms- Proof you can teach an Old(er) Doms some new tricks.
An idea that I didn’t think was even a thought- Doms aging and becoming middle aged men with a wife, a house, jobs, kids, a complete with a dad bod. Who wants to read about a dad bod, or a mom bod? Where the 6 or 8 pack is now a growler and that firm perky rack is more pillowy and fluffy than it had been. Believe me when I tell you that this is the book series that you should be reading.
Growing with a marriage and seeming growing apart from your spouse at the same time, is something that many realize. Logan realizes this and hopes that it isn’t too late to bring his relationship and marriage to Felicity back to what it was when they first got together, only, hopefully, better.
However when he tries, in his Dom way, to fix it, he realizes that he will need to work with his wife and sub, Felicity as an equal partner. Their D/s relationship took a backseat to everything else in their marriage and has to change just a bit to fit into their married with kids life. But like all Doms, Logan is stubborn and very determined. And he is very in love with Felicity. Felicity isn’t a pushover and is just as strong a sub as her Dom is a Dom.
This series is something that all married couples, with or without children can relate to. While a work of fiction, this series could hit close to the hearts of many. The reader can feel the emotions of the characters . The love, anger, tiredness, frustration, and fear that the characters are experiencing. Not just the sexual scenes, but those are a whole other subject. Hot is too timid a word for them. Well written and encompassing Ms. Angel takes the reader for one heck of a ride with them! The D/s relationship between a husband and wife in this book seemed deeper than in other books regarding D/s.
Golden Angel took a step outside of her comfort zone in writing the opening book of this series, and she has done a very good job at that. So cheers to the Dad Bod Doms , the women they love, and the readers who will enjoy this series!

However when he tries, in his Dom way, to fix it, he realizes that he will need to work with his wife and sub, Felicity as an equal partner. Their D/s relationship took a backseat to everything else in their marriage and has to change just a bit to fit into their married with kids life. But like all Doms, Logan is stubborn and very determined. And he is very in love with Felicity. Felicity isn’t a pushover and is just as strong a sub as her Dom is a Dom.
This series is something that all married couples, with or without children can relate to. While a work of fiction, this series could hit close to the hearts of many. The reader can feel the emotions of the characters . The love, anger, tiredness, frustration, and fear that the characters are experiencing. Not just the sexual scenes, but those are a whole other subject. Hot is too timid a word for them. Well written and encompassing Ms. Angel takes the reader for one heck of a ride with them! The D/s relationship between a husband and wife in this book seemed deeper than in other books regarding D/s.
Golden Angel took a step outside of her comfort zone in writing the opening book of this series, and she has done a very good job at that. So cheers to the Dad Bod Doms , the women they love, and the readers who will enjoy this series!

I really liked the concept for this new series! I am one of those people who really appreciates a good epilogue – I want to know what happens after the HEA is apparently achieved. So, naturally the idea for this series was very appealing. What happens when the realities of the progression of life interrupts the roses and romance … or the cuffs and the paddles? Logan and Felicity are a married D/s couple with 2 young children, stressful jobs, and a house. The responsibilities of all those things fill their lives so much that they have gotten out of the habit of making time for themselves as individuals, and for themselves as a couple.
This was a quick read, but it effectively told the story. I think it was just very well done so the pages turned quickly. The subject of traditional gender roles and expectations is addressed, and neither partner is afraid to acknowledge when they have made a mistake. The title of the book is a light-hearted acknowledgement of the physical changes of aging, but within the book the much more serious pressure on women about that issue is definitely addressed. The author does a terrific job of describing the conflicting feelings a parent can have to simultaneously love your children so much, but still sometimes to just need a break from them.
The chemistry between Logan and Felicity lights up the pages, There are also some very funny moments. (I may never think of Santa and his candy cane the same way ever again!) I very much enjoyed this book. I am looking forward to the next story, and ordered the other 2 in the series already.

I so want to put WOW as my review and nothing else, but it wouldn't be fair to Golden Angel as it's so much more than WOW and it wouldn't be fair to you dear reader as you need to know why it's WOW.
Logan is married to Felicity.. like most married couple with children things become samey and the spark that got them together has been put on the back burner.
On a weekend away with his dad friends Logan realises that things have become staid, not only for him but for his friends too... they all realise they aren't the same men they were before they were married... well maybe in character they are, but body wise the six pack is now more like an exploded bag of marshmallows. They also realise that their Dom side has been lacking of late and make a vow to regain that side of their lives.

I love Golden Angel's books, and this was no exception. This book is slightly different than some of her others, because it's based after the Happily Ever After lasted quite a few years. It has a different feel than some of her other books because it's about keeping the relationship alive, rather than getting it through the first few bumps in the road, and that is one of the things I love most about it. The patriarchy, sexism, and ageism are all tackled and overcome in this book. And all the while, sexy times and nerdy references are being made (DnD with BDSM is a match I definitely want to see again). I've been seeing more and more popular romances tackling the "what happens after marriage" questions, but this one is my favourite so far. Read it. Love it. All Hail the Data Queen (you'll get it if you read it ;) ).

Logan and Felicity have lost their way since having kids ....which leave them both tired to play with each other ... Logan realizes after he makes a big mistake and felicity throws him out of the house for the night he goes to stay with his sister and her wife who set him straight .....he apologizes to felicity and what happens next you will need to read but I loved the way they find their way back together and both realize they stopped communicating and making time for each other ...... I voluntarily read an arc and loved it ....and will be reading the other three guys stories

I adored this book and I have to say how clever I thought it was to take this series in such a fresh and unique direction. This is not your typical BDSM romance and in my opinion anyway, that was a really, really good thing! I loved that this book takes you beyond the what you would usually get and straight into in real life territory. This sets up a romance/story that is so very relatable and incredibly genuine. Logan and Felicity captured my heart AND had me feeling the heat!!! An absolutely terrific read that left me more than eager for the rest of the books in this series. I am electing to post a sincere review.

The first book in this Dad Bod Doms series written by 4 different authors.
I really enjoyed this book and that mostly because it is so easy to connect and relate to the characters. They are a bit older, their bodies are not as flat and toned anymore and life just took over. They lost the connection and drifted apart in their relationship, but it is never too late to make a change.
The story made me laugh, it was romantic and sexy.
It is a wonderful book and I would recommend it.

As someone who’s been married quite awhile, I resemble this remark, and I’m sure many others can too.
This was a lovely, kinky, uplifting story about Logan and Felicity rekindling their spark. It’s a short, well-balanced piece of fiction offering a little real life reminder and inspiration.

Okay, readers. We read erotic romance to escape, even if just temporarily, right? Not that we're discontent with what we have but just for a brief period of time, we get to visualize and playout what we miss or wish we had. Golden Angel has brought the first book of the "Dad Bod Doms" with "Logan" and the premise is completely, without a doubt, relatable to any married couple juggling everyday life with career, kids, and obligations. With Logan and Felicity going through a journey that started with a D/s relationship and grew into a married couple with a five-year-old son and three-year-old daughter, both of whom have busy careers, and the day to day has taken them down a path neither one recognizes. When it comes to a head and Logan finds himself at his sister's house that's when the reality of the situation stares him in the face. I have to say, even for couples who aren't into kink, I would recommend this book to EVERY couple to read if only for them to realize there is a light at the end of the tunnel if you want it bad enough. I just really loved their story and can only anxiously away Henry's story next. Congratulations on a GREAT story idea and for attaining such a HUGE success in the telling. <3

I love the concept of this story and the rest of the books coming in the series. It's relatable but also sexy and gives you the right amount of heat and heart you need. This is not just about the Dom getting his groove back but also about what happens after the hero and heroine have their HEA and life happens. This is them getting their bedroom act together again. I just love the idea behind these books. Most of us readers are regular people. We are not billionaires or spies, bodybuilders or members of the mafia. Just regular people who like to read a romance with a bit of kink in it and maybe try a bit of it behind our locked bedroom doors. This is the book for us as it is a much more realistic depiction of people who practice bdsm than many of the typical books written about this subject. It’s also a lot of fun to read. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
