Install an operating system on a bootable USB drive, and you can take your whole computer with you – almost. Granted, you still need a PC or laptop to plug it into, but it is a great way to carry your favourite programs and essential data wherever you go. You can access them on someone else’s PC, even if they’re not willing to share their login credentials with you. Despite its power, Windows actually has fairly conservative system requirements, and it will happily live on drives as small as 16GB (for the 32-bit version) or 32GB (for the 64-bit edition).
