--------------------------------------------------
Everyone's back for 8th year, and Harry and his friends seem determined to spend their last year in school running around at night, hyped up on coffee and alcohol and Honeydukes candy, doing all the childish things they didn't have the chance to do before. Draco watches as he's always watched: from afar, quiet and bitter and hopelessly in love. That is, until Pansy decides she's had quite enough of it.

I have struggled to find the proper words to express just how much I love this fanfic. It was so wonderfully composed and such an easy to follow read. It is one of, if not the absolute best, fanfics I have ever read in my life.

The entire composition is written from Draco's perspective so the reader only knows what he is feeling and thinking. This is important to note, in particular, because this has caused both an intense influx of EVERYTHING Draco feels, thinks, and the bidirectional relationship between his behaviors and his reactions to Harry and the various instances where they interact.

However, and this is by no means a bad thing, there are limitations to this structure. In my experience, I found it a bit dissatisfying because we never really explicitly see Harry give Draco the same intense feelings back. This might come across as contradictory but that made it SO MUCH better. The entire time the reader is so engrossed and captured by Draco and his love for Harry that all you can do is just hope and pray that Harry loves him back with the same vigor. But because the reciprocation lacked (key word) EXPLICIT tell, it intensified how personal Draco's character felt.

I caught myself feeling as if I WAS Draco and I felt just the same amount of uncertainty that comes with loving someone and displaying that love. The fact that the author never explicitly shows that Harry loves Draco back (besides the reciprocated "I love you too" sentiment in a later chapter) with the same intensity, I believe, is truly comparative of how it feels to love someone without abandon.

The fear and the uncertainty that comes with loving Harry was not enough for Draco to STOP loving him. It was not enough for him to display cowardice that he was so infamous for (thank you Pansy for finally getting him to cut that streak) when the time to show Harry how much he loved him mattered the most. It was because that Draco did not know if Harry loved him the same way, with the same form, and at the same intensity and still decided to love him continuously anyways is what made this fanfic so much more the beautiful (I even caught myself feeling like I could fall in love with Harry as well!)

To be loved like how Draco loves Harry will definitely be my standard LOL.

But overall it was an absolute treat, the best of the very best. I will forever treasure this fanfic and find comfort in it's entirety. The five stars was easily earned and I have recommended it to my friends.

Drarry fanfic.
A lot of fluff, zero angst. The best comfort read.
Everyone is back to Hogwarts after the war for their 8th year. Draco has been in love with Harry since 1st year, and Harry is very obtuse and has no idea. That’s basically it.
