This book broadly covering the details of the operation and the views of some of the soldiers and officers... the book is good from the history point of view... the book blames the seniors and the strategy makers for the loss of the battle and also u will going to know that without proper strategy and plan even well armed and trained force can be beaten to the hell....

Bold N Honest Sepoys

Every word from the start to finish, just tells the reader about the IPKF misadventure, that was never talked much about. Hasty decision and maladministered execution had costed countless brave soldiers of our Forces. At the least, after these many decades, GoI shd be prepared to prepare and publish white paper abt that which cud be a case study for current and future generations of our Bravehearts who make such critical battle decisions. Jai Hind! Jai Jawan.

An interesting reading

Very little was written about the ferocity of the war,the soldiers of the IPKF had faced as an adversary with great guerrilla battle tactics.
A big salute to the writer of this book having fought the battle with a tough opponent & living on to pen it for the world to remember.
A campaign that cannot be forgotten for good.
A big salute to all the valiant soldiers.

A nice read

1. Wish a map showing the areas covered by the para cdos in the university campus and neighborhood could have been included for ease of understanding.
2. The title gives an impression of all the local battles fought in Jaffna, which is not so. Could have been worded differently
