Zach Volpert is content with his life. He runs the only library in the area, he has his friends and family, and he has his routines. He knows his OCD and anxiety is holding him back from finding the success and happiness that his friends have, but Zach is content to live his life the best way he knows how. Until the new sheriff rolls into town on a Harley and completely upends his well-practiced routine. Jude Morgan loves the community he grew up in, but when his mom’s sudden battle with cancer comes to an end, he’s left reeling with the knowledge of a life and family she left behind. Packing up and moving halfway across the country, Jude finds himself in Prophetstown as the new acting-sheriff. He’s surrounded by unexplained break-ins as he tries to find the family his mom had left behind. Will the cute shy book nerd he meets on his first day help him settle into his new life, or will he have Jude racing for his old home as fast as his Harley can go?
When I read Finding Love I was impressed. A cute small town with all these wonderful funny characters and adorable goats. I remember thinking I’m going to love getting the stories about this sweet town. Finding Myself was even better than I imagined. We got to dig a little deeper into the people who make it a place I’d want to live in. Can you imagine walking in the city or town you live with and not having someone look at you like you are weird? Believe me both Zach and Jude, and definitely the moms and grams, would be getting those looks here. I do just for my hair alone lol. Now I need to know what’s up with Clayton and Bryce. Also, we need to get Cole’s story. Seriously, he’s playing a part for Clayton, has Amy clinging to him like a leach, and is getting the cold shoulder from Nick. That’s a lot for the short time he’s been in Prophetstown. Trust me I’m stalking this author hard because I don’t want to miss the next installment of this series. I know it’ll blow me away like the first two did.
This is a lovers romance, featuring Jude Morgan and Zach Volpert, and is the second book in the Love in Prophertstown series.
Jude is the tattooed new sheriff in town who rides a motorcycle and is looking for his long lost aunties, and Zach is a super shy librarian with social anxiety and OCD and everyone in town adores him.
It was pretty much Insta-attraction for both of them, Jude calls Zach beautiful from the get go, which is super swoony. They are drawn to each other and before you know it, are kindling are relationship.
This is a super sweet, low angst story about finding the person you are meant to be with. I really liked the pace of the story, and how everyone in town was interconnected.
I enjoyed getting the chance to revisit Prophetstown, Ruby Neal's created a charming cast of eccentric characters whose day would be incomplete if they didn't get the chance to indulge in some well-intentioned meddling. My soft spot was definitely for Zach, who summoned the courage to wrangle his anxiety and let himself be vulnerable to Jude, who didn't waver under the challenge. I'm looking forward to the next installment of this small-town romance, it's a feel-good series that warms my heart.
I love one character has OCD plus Social and I'm guessing General anxiety. Not a lot of books touch on this. I love no one treats it as a big deal, it's just part of him. I love how Zach is slowly brought out of his shell. Not an easy feat.
I have to admit, I thought I knew who the "criminal" was... I was sure of it! But nope, I was close, so close!
I read this book as the author posted on AE Via’s Facebook page about this book. I really enjoyed this sweet story with instant attraction between the two main characters. I look forward to reading more stories that revolve around the other characters introduced in this story. I highly recommend this book$
Finding Myself is the second book in the Love in Prophetstown series. It’s such a great follow up to book one. Readers get glimpses of favorite characters from the first book, while enjoying the sweet love story blossoming between Zach and new sheriff Jude. Zach and Jude are wonderful together in this slow burn, tender romance. I’m looking forward to more fun in Prophetstown in book 3.
I wish the small town I grew up in was like Prophetstown. I hope there will be more in this series. I am anxious to see if Cole and Nick bit it off. And what's up with Clayton......
