There ain’t no law anymore

Ramone relishes the collapse of society some indeterminate time ago. He and the Thunder Rats wear their jackets to show that they represent the new world. A world where you can rule your turf through fear and commit wanton violence for the fun of it. A world where authority is not forced upon you, it is taken.

But then Ramone’s eyes are opened to the true horror of his way of life. His friends become the enemy, and Ramone must find those who think like him if he is to ever find redemption and vanquish the evil he once roamed with.

Loved this book, can't believe this is Ben O'Hara's first novel!

This book is set in an almost apocalyptic world where the law of the land has long been in the hands of gangs. Told from the perspective of a highly respected member of the Thunder Rats, Ramone goes through a period of self reflection in a way similar to Orwell's 1984 which could change his life, for better or worse.

Filled with suspense, action, and overlapping characters and storylines, this book will leave you needing a sequel!

This is completely self-published too, from a young author who writes in his spare time and supposedly took some convincing to share his undoubted talent with the world.

This novel took me way out of my comfort zone into a very dark and soulless world, with some fairly gruesome and graphic scenes of violence. But as I continued, it became apparent that they were needed for the stark contrast ahead and I became absorbed in the storyline. A well written novel by a new author.
