Van is still salty that his baby sister, Daisy, is dating the older (six years old so get over it dude this excuse is effing dumb) manager for Courting Chaos, Lawson. Van is trying to find ways to get under Lawson's skin. So when Lawson's baby sister, Lexi, joins them on tour to get away from social media bullies/scandal home/school he starts spending time with her to make Lawson think that he is using Lexi to get back at him. But the more time that Lexi and Lawson spend together they more they realize that they have caught the feelings.

I really enjoyed Van and Lexi. They were both sweet, fun, cute and hot. I enjoyed watching them fall for each other and loved they way that they both handled the Van/Lawson conflict. I respected the way that played out. It felt organic. The whole Lexi social media scandal was dumb. The reasoning behind the "villain" was dumb and the way it was resolved was dumb. That should have been done from the very beginning. Also, it would have been nice to see the villain get their comeuppance. But there was nothing and it was a bit anticlimactic for me. But overall I enjoyed Van and Lexi and am hoping that we get to see how they make their relationship work in the other brother's books.

This is a continuation of the rock bands Courting Chaos and Pushing Daisies. The latter band is the up-and-coming intro band for well-known Courting Chaos. This book introduces Lexi Styles, the younger sister of Lawson Styles, member of Courting Chaos. Lawson is currently dating Daisy, the female member of and namesake of Pushing Daisies. Daisies' newest member and Daisy's brother, Van Zant Thompson, guitar bassist, is not happy that his baby sister is dating Lawson, 6 years her senior. When Lexi, a college student, finds herself in a social media pickle thanks to her "used-to-be" best friend, she decides a little time on tour with the bands and her brother, would give her a much-needed break. Lexi and Van find themselves drawn to each other, and begin to know each other better while playing Words with Friends from their respective bands' buses. Lawson, now furious that HIS baby sister is being used by Van, tries to break up anything between the two, but Van, the groups' playboy, has taken a liking to Lexi and tries to dispell Lawson's accusation that he's just trying to get back at him for being with Daisy, and using Lexi at the same time. Van and Lexi spend a couple of weeks trying to show Lawson that their insta-traction has nothing to do with revenge. In the meantime, Van, who's never dated or had a real girlfriend, begins to think that Lexi might be "the one" for him. Their brief time together before Lexi has to return home to finish college, brings them very much together and attempting to figure out how or if their long-distance relationship can work with Van having so much temptation with groupies and fans falling over themselves to get in his pants. This new installment of this fast-paced series following the two up-and-coming rock bands, follows each band member, their respective partners, and rock bands on the road. It is aimed at a young college-aged and young adult age group, but this 67-year old reviewer has found the series to be extremely entertaining and the romance of the young folk a lovely read. Highly recommend this one as your first, or continuing read of the series!!

This is Lexi and Van’s story in this installment of this series of interconnected rockstar romance’s.
This book is sweet and there’s only minor complications and minimal angst.
Relevant issues are involved, including social media and the pitfalls.
Family is a big part of the story as well.
A bit of push back from family happens, it adds a bit of tension to the budding romance.
It’s still characters from the first book (Daisy) and some new characters.
The couple has to figure out how to deal with fame and their romance.
I like to get lost in an interconnected series like this.
It’s definitely on the young side, not gritty.
It’s more sweet, cute and fun.
A way to relive youth in a light rockstar world.
It’s a nice escape.

How much crow do you have to eat before it starts tasting remotely like steak? Because all these guys in both bands are huge, chickens would never do. You see when you have two little sisters involved and two hard-headed men who are too stubborn to call a truce, words get thrown around that shouldn’t have left their mouths. Well, mainly, Van’s mouth. He said it regarding his sister. Granted his anger was high and he was not thinking, but no excuse. She’s. An. Adult.

Especially, since he is only two years older than Daisy, and now Lexi. Lord knows through most of the brother's admission that they all had been with countless women, so she could go that route if the brothers preferred. Now, they can just step up and give her the number of their conquests, and she’ll get right on it. But no, she is too nice for that. But, she did threaten to call their momma. Making all of them straighten up.

Knowing if their mom didn't like what she heard from Daisy she would be on the next plane. And they all had already heard the lecture. She is twenty-one and a grown woman. Van was still not bending, when Lexi showed up on tour, he thought about exacting his revenge. Until they went to breakfast together. He knew she had something going on back home that she needed to be away from. He could see her pain and hurt in her eyes. He found out he liked Lexi and couldn't use her.

When Lawson saw them walking back from breakfast, he nearly blew a gasket. He confronted Lexi telling her Van’s ploy which he doubted but she well it's a good thing we are just friends. Lawson didn't like that answer at all because he knew damn well Van never in his life had a woman as a friend. So, that’s when he confronts Van. You can only guess how well that goes. The thing is he does like her a lot and was trying to be the gentleman his momma raised. Lexi had other plans.

I so enjoyed this book. To see Van go from an angry guy to a guy in love, was great. Now, to this man who must navigate the trashed road he created. Then there’s Lawson. Don’t think he didn't add to the circus mess. One of the days, Daisy and Lexi got so mad at him. Daisy and Lexi slept in the master room on his bus, leaving him to sleep in one of the many other bunks.

See if they can make things work for the two women in their lives, they have in common, and they love.

Van Zant Thompson is still having trouble accepting that his little sister has found love with an older man, one that he doesn't think is quite deserving of her love. So, he does everything he can think of to rattle Lawson, but it isn't working. Then it's as if fate hands him the golden ticket to irk Lawson... Lawson's little sister Lexi joins the band on the road to escape her disastrous life and Van's sees it as an opportunity to get close to her to tick off her brother. Except the more time he spends with her the less important his plan for revenge becomes.

Lexi is an unexpected surprise in his life, a breath of fresh air, and she's the first woman to have him thinking about forever...

In this second installment in the Pushing Daisies series we get to witness the unattainable bachelor fall for the girl who completely rocks his world. Getting close to Lexi was all a plan to irk her brother, but somewhere along the way it became something else. Something that you only find once in your life, and Van is going to fight hard to hold onto it.

But Lawson just sees it as Van's plan to tick him off and get even for his relationship with Daisy, so he tries to keep them apart. Lexi and Van are in for the fight of their lives, the love they have is real and they aren't willing to let it go...

From the opening lines to the closing ones, this delightfully entertaining romance kept me enthralled. It was a love story that never should have been, but one little connection changed everything... and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it all unfold! Highly recommend!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

If Rockstar Romance is one of your favorite, I recommend you this Pushing Daisies series because it's very good written and easy reading. The series is about a band which all members are siblings. The second book is about Van. The author matches him with a sister of Daisy's boyfriend. Yep, you can guess how messy it is! The story starts with how Van disagree with Daisy and Lawson's relationship. As I reviewed it before that I disagree with Daisy's brothers about their age difference, so Van's behavior makes me feel a little annoyed so it's a hiccup start for me. And while Daisy's book has no heavy drama, in this book, Lexi's problem creates a little bit of angsty feeling. The best thing is it makes Van sees some sense. Oh, Lawson and him still have a hard times but this time, it's because Lexi not Daisy. Anyway, the story is still good and after Van gets together with Lexi, I enjoy reading their developed relationship. Van is a womanizer but Lexi makes him want to be better. I think the story is quite sweet for Rockstar Romance though but not in a bad way at all.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Lawson and Daisy are still madly in love and Van is till fuming about it. Logically he knows Lawson makes his sister happy but he hates the six year age difference. Lexi has fallen out with her best friend and she is spreading rumours about Lexi. When Lexi confronts her she is told that it will now get worse. It definitely does get worse to the point where she doesn’t check her social media at all. When Lawson phones her and offers to join him on the tour she jumps at the chance to escape her life for a while. Lexi soon finds that Van is fun and easy to get along with travelling from town to town. He arranges a day out for them that goes so well that he kisses her.
Definitely a hot fantasy read. I love this new band and the complicated relationship between them all. There was no point in the story where their relationship was tested and caused any heartache which was a bit different.

Another great book in this series. As a spinoff of the Courting Chaos Van is upset that his sister is dating the Courting Chaos manager, Lawson, because of the 6 year age gap. Now Lawson’s sister joins the tour for the summer to get away from the bullying from her ex best friend at college. Van starts out befriending Lexi just to mess with Lawson but quickly the two hit it off and become serious. Lawson is less than pleased. As usual with these series, there is an underlying problem that causes problems and in this case it’s Lexi’s vindictive ex friend cyber bullying that causes unwanted advances lewd comments, texts and other various communication. Can Van and Lexi get past Lawson’s disapproval, the cyber bullying and figure out what to do when she returns to school? Read it and see!

I've really enjoyed the Courting Chaos series and now the Pushing Daisies spin-off. In this story we have Lexie, Lawson's little sister. Lawson is the manager for Courting Chaos, and is also dating Daisy, Van's little sister... much to Van's displeasure. Why? Because Lawson is 6 yrs older than Daisy. When Lexie's personal life becomes a nightmare thanks to her ex-best-friend and a social media storm, when Lawson invites her to join the tour, she jumps at the chance. What she didn't count on was her attraction to Van. Van didn't count on Daisy either. What started out as a way to annoy Lawson, turned into SO much more as he got to know her. Love the characters in these two bands and how we still get to see some of the Courting Chaos guys and the ladies who brought them to their knees. Now the question is... who will be next?

Well, this one sure boomeranged on Van! Lexi’s brother, Lawson, invites her on tour. Van is intending to use Lexi’s presence to anger her brother who is currently dating Van's sister. But instead of showing Lawson what it’s like and irritating him, Van starts to fall for Lexi who is sweet and very likable. So when Lexi overhears Van telling someone that this interest in Lexi was part of his plan to get even with Lawson, he really hurts her. It will take a great deal of work (and groveling) to win her back after this. Will she give him the chance?

I really enjoyed this story line and the characters we focus on. Their interaction with each other was realistic and believable. Grab your copy and see if Van can convince her that he has real feelings for her, despite what she thinks she overheard.

I received this book for free to give my true & honest review.

This is my first book by Heather Young Nichols that I've read even though I thought I had read her work prior.

It's a shame that I've missed her previous work before especially Daisy's book &the start of The Pushing Daisies wh Daisy started dating the manager of Courting Chaos Lawson the elder brother of Lexi, whom had to get her gear out of her head sitting at home after the nasty spread rumours spreadby her so called friends from College.
Anyway Lexi ends up joining the tour with Courting Chaos & Pushing Up Daisies &it's here whe base guitarist Van thought he'd get back at Lawson to allow him to feel how he does about dating his Sister but Van wasn't expecting to fall for Lexi especially as hard as he did nor Lexi to fall for him.
It's a beautiful love story with some deep bitchiness of so called friends...

Van is the sexy rockstar and his sister Daisy has hooked up with the manager of Courting Chaos, Lawson and he’s six years older then her so Van is upset about that. Now Lawson’s little sister is having problems and to get away from her problems she comes on tour with her brother. Right away there’s big attraction and great chemistry between Van and Lexi. When they finally got together it was hot AF. Reading about Van falling in love was hilarious because he’d never had a steady girlfriend, he was more of the love them for a night and leave them. Still I had this sinking feeling the shite was about to hit the fan, I kept waiting for the shoe to drop but it never did. I was disappointed because it was just too fortuitous. It was a happy book with an even happier ending. Can’t wait to read book three, it’s the twin brother. I’m giving this book four stars and I recommend it.

After meeting Daisy and her brothers in her book, I knew right away that I wanted to know even more about their family. This time the focus is all on big brother Van and Lawson’s little sister, Lexi. And it really was a lot of fun to see Van get back a lot of the same grief he’d been giving Lawson. The drama with Lexi’s toxic former best friend was interesting, but it didn’t always feel fully integrated with the rest of the story. However, it was a nice element of added angst to bring all of our characters closer together. Now that we’ve gotten to know a bit more about the brothers in the Thompson family, I’m dying to read about the rest of them.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

When Van - confirmed bachelor rockstar meets Lexi - falsely accused 'whore' on social media (by her best friend) it starts as an unconventional friendship. All they have in common is an online game and the fact that their siblings are dating. Soon the forbidden and complicated becomes too much of a pull for them to fight and then it begins to really get interesting. A hidden hook up soon becomes more than they both were looking for or ever expected. Loved the familiar but slow build at the start and then the hot frenzy that followed. Claiming the one that never wanted to be caught is always a fun read.
Until the next one.....

Van (Pushing Daisies #2) is a very enjoyable read. I really liked Lexi and Van and they make a really sweet couple. Even though he's a member of a rock band on the way to the big time, their love story is pretty relatable because the story focuses on their budding relationship and all the family issues that go with it, not the fact that he's a celebrity. It was also great reconnecting with Daisy and Lawson from book one of the series. My only complaint if that's what you want to call it, is that it ended kind of abruptly and I wasn't quite ready to have it end. Great read though. Can't wait for Bonham's story.

This is my absolute favourite genre rockstars, bands etc and Heather Young- Nichols really knows how to entertain and keep you hooked and this is Van’s and Lexi’s story. Lawson rang Lexi asking if she wanted to go on tour with the band and Lexi didn’t hesitate in saying yes at least it would get her away from her backstabbing so called friends, when Van re meets Lexi he was going to make it look like they might be together to get back at Lawson who is dating Van’s sister Daisy but Lexi was starting to crush on Van and that would cause a whole load of trouble if anyone found out especially Lawson. Fantastic story I loved it and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

This is the second book in this great series and is Van and Lexi’s story. Van is the bass player in the band, and he is touchy about his sister Daisy being in love with Lawson, as her feels he does not deserve her love. Lexi needs to get away from a bullying and toxic friendship, and joins her brothers’ band on tour, and is drawn to Van from the moment they meet. Van just wants to be friends and he uses their connection to annoy Lawson as payback, but Lexi wants more. Will these two get a chance of being together? This is a well written story which is filled with conflict, misunderstandings, humor, and love, which leads to an entertaining addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Who’s Playing Who?

I love rock romance and this book checked off a lot of things that I love about them. Van is the bassist for the rock band Courting Chaos and is all about getting back at Lawson who is now with Van’s sister, Daisy even with the six-year age difference which he isn’t a fan of. What better way to get back at Lawson than to go out with Lawson’s sister, Lexi?

Lexi is looking for a break because she has been getting bullied by a “friend” so this is the perfect time to get away and go on the road with Courting Chaos and Pushing Daisies. She and Lawson hit it off and he is realizing that there is more to the relationship he is forming with Lexi than getting back at Lawson.

I highly recommend not only this book but this series for all of us that love rock romance.

Lexi just is having a life. Unsure of a moment in her life, is coming back to haunt her.

Luckily fate has her catching the eye of a rock star play boy who has never been bitten by the love bug or had a serious girlfriend. Obstacles try to obstruct the clear line that has these two crashing pretty hard.

I really enjoyed that they actually got to know each other. His past actually helped him and her past once fully explained just was so pathetic, I wanted to reach through and hurt those who tried to break her.

She's got a strong family, a guy who would make a nun blush and in the end is power lifting life. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntary review.

"Van" by Heather Young-Nichols was a fantastic second book in the "Pushing Daisies" series. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, but I can honestly say I would pay full price for any of this author's books.
This series is a spin-off from the "Courting Chaos" series and I'm so glad that she found a way to continue on with these characters and storylines. The writing is fantastic and the dialogue is witty, funny, and steamy. The rockstar genres are my guilty pleasure and this author has never disappointed and keeps me entertained and anticipating her next book.
This is a great addition to your book collection.
Happy Reading...enjoy!

Lexi is invited on tour by her brother so she goes. She is getting away from a cyber bully. Van befriends her in an attempt to piss of her brother. Lawson the brother is dating Van's sister so he thought he would get even to show what it feels like. They started out as friends and they both want more but Lexi hears Van tell someone his plan and now she is crushed. So he has to fight for her. I really enjoyed the characters and their interaction, you could feel how the relationship was changing. This is a great story, and cannot wait to read more.

Loved the story. Felt bad for Lexi with what happened with a person that was supposed to be a friend. I started reading and did not stop until I finished the story. I was spellbound with all the interaction of what goes on in the background of bands on tour.
Van got what he deserved. Being mean to his sister's boyfriend, Lawson, just because of age difference between them. Love has no age limit.
Lexi was such a good person that Van had no chance about what happens between them. Van needed to grow up and with Lexi coming on tour with her brother, Lawson, Van finally met the perfect person for him.

Wow

Wow, just wow! I love Lexi and Vans story. It was very entertaining although the ending was a little abrupt. I’m not sure who did the proofreading On this book but they should be let go. There were so many mistakes, wrong words, wrong people named in a scene they weren’t even in. There were so many errors it was totally distracting. It was as if this book was written by a ninth grade student. It should have 40 or 50 red lines of correction … This is supposed to be professional writing. Invest in someone who can proofread your work and correct all the mistakes. I am anxious to read bonhams story, And hope this type of errors will be fixed.

Van is book two in the Pushing Daisies series and if you read book one then you know Van is Daisy's brother and Lexi is Lawson's sister. Van starts out wanting to get back at Lawson for dating his sister and ends out falling for Lexi. But when Lexi finds out his plan things go bad and Van is desperate to win her back. After reading book one I was hoping Daisy's brothers would get their story so I was happy to see that this was Van and Lexi's journey of love. This is a well written book with two characters that are believable and have great chemistry together. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. Van and Lexi

After meeting Daisy and her brothers in her book, I was hooked - I just had to get the deets on their crazy family. This time around, big brother Van and Lawson's little sis Lexi take center stage. And let me tell you, it was pretty entertaining to see Van get a taste of his own medicine after all the grief he'd been giving Lawson. The drama with Lexi's toxic ex-BFF was juicy, but sometimes it felt like it was stuck on the sidelines, not fully part of the main event. Still, it added a nice layer of angst that brought everyone closer together. Now that we've gotten the scoop on one of the Thompson brothers, gotta read about the rest of'em!

Van is a bass player in his family’s band and Lexie is the sister of Van’s frenemy Lawson, who happens to be dating his sister Daisy. What starts out as a way to get back at Lawson becomes real fir Van and he almost loses Lexie because of his initial plan. Lexie is also being cyber bullied at college and this may blow up their relationship as well. Will they be able to work it all through and find their HEA? Great author and story that can be read independently of the other stories in the series.

Van (Pushing Daisies 2)
by Heather Young-Nichols
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Van Zant Thompson bassist for Pushing Daisies is pretty hot by Lexi Styles’s estimation. But, really, she was just trying to get away from the nasty rumors her ‘best friend’ Nora started by running to her bother’s band on tour. Van had an idea to pretend to hook up with Lexi. But, the best laid plans never seem to go as expected. Cute story about rock and roll bands and their members. Ms. Young-Nichols is very good with her characters and how they all fit together!

Van (Pushing Daisy's #2) is a highly entertaining edition to this series. I absolutely loved Van and Lexi's story. Right from page one to the very end I couldn't put it down and had to know what was going to happen next. I loved getting to see other characters again and meeting new ones in this rockstar world this author has build. The characters are compelling and fun to read about. I really loved Lexi's character and the dynamics between the families. The plot unfolds nicely and I'm looking forward to find out who's story is next in this entertaining rockstar world.

This is the second book in the pushing dates series. It picks up after the first book. In this one Daisy's brother Van is not happy that she's with their manager Lawson, so he decides to try and get back at him.

Enter Lexi, Lawson's sister. Van starts spending time with Lexi and they end up falling for one another.

Thee two characters were really cute together. They both had such a sweet side to them and you couldn't help but root for them.

The whole social media thing felt a little immature and I think it could have been done a little better, but overall I enjoyed this story.

After reading the first book in the Pushing Daisies series, I was excited to get the second book. Now that Daisy and Lawton have their HEA, its Lexi and Van's turn. After a scandal Lexi decides to spend time with her brother Lawton on his tour. Van is still not happy about his sister dating Lawton, Lexi's brother. The chemistry between Van and Lexi was off the charts hot. Will they be able to overcome all the obstacles thrown their way to get their HEA?
