He made them. Now, he must watch them die.

Yahweh Telei has placed his days as Archaean Commander of the Argent Court behind him. As the physician and researcher for Apothecary Sciences in the Court of Enigmus, he has no plans to look back, having shed both his race and mortality like old skins.

But Yahweh is called to service when a mysterious machine race, known to Enigmus only as Pedagogue, sends a communication signature from an obelisk on a world within the Eversae Major universe.

The world is Earth, and Pedagogue has occupied it, housing the last of the humans in one of the only habitable regions left on the planet, a camp known as Wereda-19.

On the surface, Pedagogue is offering an opportunity for dialogue; a scenario never seen before by the Court of Enigmus. An opportunity for an alliance between biotic and machine sentience would benefit the Scholars greatly, not to mention the swaths of knowledge they could subsequently gain.

Yahweh's orders?

Serve as an envoy for the Court of Enigmus. Be courteous, diplomatic, viewing the machine race known as Pedagogue only through an objective lens. Learn about them, while they learn about the Vel'Haru in return.

And, most importantly, ignore the imminent extinction of the human race.

It's a Small World After All

I wondered if the humans would ever make it back into the story....interesting apocalypse. Can't wait to see how human, angel & demon work out; hymn or cacophony?

Great story but I flew through this book. I think it's much shorter than the other ones. Enjoyed the focus on Yahweh.
