He’s home to recover, not fall for a younger man …
Blaze’s time in the military unraveled him, but now he’s knitting himself back together one stitch at a time. He needs to focus on recovery, not the young omega he finds himself doting over.
Logan is back home to lick his wounds, not the hot older alpha who just happens to be his landlady’s grandson. He can see the cracks in Blaze’s armor, and he wants to squeeze his way in, but the ex-soldier has more defenses than a military base.
Until an ill-timed heat changes everything …
Blaze’s demons are a tangled mess he may never fully recover from. Can he really expect an omega who could have anyone to settle for him? Or is the only way to protect Logan to let him go?

Books by Austin Bates are always super adorable and sweet. This time we got a bundle of cute m/m alpha/omega stories. They are all fast reads, perfect to make readers smile and relax during their way to work or in the evening.
Stories are well written and not complicated. There is HEA for everyone and lots of scorching hot sex. I have to admit that I had more fun reading Sunnydale Vets, but these are also enjoyable.
I recommend this bundle for all mpreg and alpha/omega lovers.

He is very lost and his granny had been very patient with him until has had enough of his moping She gets him knitting, thinking it will give him something to do. A big alpha knitting?? But it seems their nana & granny had other plans and they were plotting for them to get together. But could they be good for each other?? This is a brilliant read, I got totally lost in Logan and Blaze’s story. It’s a slow burn, they have both been hurt in different ways but they find support in each other. It’s a magical read. I just couldn’t put it down . It was so addictive and I cant wait for the next book. All these Alphas in this book are lush and I can feel they have their own stories and I really hope we hear more about Charlie again. OMG THESE TWO ARE SO ADORABLE. THEY HAVE SO MUCH TO WORK THROUGH BUT IT SEEMS THAT THEY HAVE SOMETHIG SPECIAL. I COULD READ ABOUT THESE TWO UNTIL THEIR LAST BREATHES. Unarmed: So good! The chemistry and the attraction pulled me into this series!
Packing Heat: Mistaken identity leaves Tucker Spears pinned against a wall...literally; by hot, older alpha Neo White. It also leaves him jobless, and his mother may hate him for helping Neo find his brother. That's Neo's job, bounty hunter- with a little bit of knitting on the side - and Neo is pretty good at his job until he mistakes Omega Tucker for his twin brother Alpha Martin. Now, they agreed to work together, Neo in hopes of reaching justice and Tucker, in hopes of rescuing his twin from his life of crime. Along the way sparks fly, lines are crossed and both men may have to put their hearts on the line if they want their own happily ever after.
This is an action-packed, romance with lots of secondary characters popping through the novel that gives it a dash of humor that leaves the reader grinning. This is the first book I read in Austin Bates' Knitting Club series and I enjoyed it so much I plan on reading the first book and cannot wait to read the upcoming book featuring Charlie's story.
Taking the Heat: Jones arrives back home after an injury which leaves him sidelined from his adventurous career. Charlie is eager to greet him upon his return, but Jones shuts him down and he shuts him down hard. Charlie has been in love with Jones for years. Ever since the pair first hooked up when he was 19 years old; of course this was done behind his older brother's, JP's back since Jones is his brother's best friend. All Charlie wanted was a happily ever after with Jones, but the man never showed signs off wanting anything more. Meanwhile Jones always has had a thing for Charlie. When injured the first face that popped in his head was the beautiful omega and he wished he would see him again. Luckily for him, Charlie needs help researching for his book, his character is racing through the wilderness; and since Jones knows all about that he's the perfect man for the job. But a couple days in, Charlie is getting hot and bothered, and he realizes his heat is coming earlier. But he has bad heats, that if action isn't taken, he could suffer in agony and even die. Jones has to decide what choice to make in order to save Charlie and maybe both men can finally move on from their past mistakes and take another shot at love.
SPOILERS!!!!! I was really looking forward to this book. The previous novel in this series introduced us too Charlie as the best friend and his puppy dog eyes at Jones stayed with me. I wanted these men to have their HEA. However, I thought this book was a little too clean-cut. I wanted more tension, and a little bit more drama. JP wasn't that fazed by Charlie and Jones, somewhat disappointed when he learned how long they had been carrying on a friends with benefits type relationship, but there really was not major blow-out. It was good, but it was anti-climatic. A big part of the hang-up between Charlie and Jones was how JP would react, and really he didn't have that big of a reaction at all. I also didn't like how Jones just had to bond with Charlie to save him, I get it, but it was too fast for me. I felt that they didn't really work anything out between them, and even now why they had their hang-ups with each other seemed so confusing and just because some easy-to-be cleared up miscommunication. Don't get me wrong though, the book was still good, it just wasn't my favorite in the series. But I really am a big fan of Austin Bates and I'm still looking forward to the next novel!

Blaze and Logan begin the first book in the Knitting Club series.
Blaze is trying to recover from both mental any physical wounds from the military. Recover isn't easy, but taking it one day at a time is all he can ask for. Logan is the omega who is trying to pull his life back together. Unfortunately, he has eyes for the property owner's grandson. Both men dealing with traumas of the past; Blaze's anger and PTSD, Logan with his lack of trust. Leave it up to a myriad of misunderstandings and yes, a poorly times heat, to bring these two together.
Don't forget a meddling grandmother to keep the surprises flowing.

>>>This book really needed an epilogue, but was still a great addition to the series.<<

**I received a free copy of this three book bundle via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.**
This is your chance to grab the three fantastic books in the complete Knitting Club Bundle. Titles include: Unarmed, Packing Heat, and Taking the Heat. Below are two reviews to give you an idea of what you’ll find in this bundle.
*** Reviewing “TAKING THE HEAT” *** Charlie and Jones have had a history of hooking up with each other for many years. They haven't acknowledged their true feelings because they were afraid of JP’s reaction when he found out his brother and best friend were a couple. Charlie now is writing a book and needs some research about roughing it in the wild. Jones is the perfect expert to provide that experience for him because he was a trained survivalist.
But as they are hiking through the wilderness, Charlie goes into an early heat and needs Jones to help him get through it. Charlie has a physical condition that makes his heats extremely painful and dangerous, with an extremely high temperature. They are finally forced to face how they feel. Are they willing to accept that they belong together? Are they ready to face JP and tell him their decision, whatever the consequences?
The story line was very good, the characters likable even when frustrating, and the pacing was well-done. The author made the reader feel everything, the trek through the woods and the memories of the past these two shared, experiencing their longing yet hesitation in not knowing if the other still had strong feelings. Where will their hearts finally lead them?
*** Reviewing “PACKING HEAT” *** Tucker Spears, an Omega, is working at his new job in a coffee shop. An older Alpha bounty hunter, Neo White, mistakes him for his twin brother, Martin, who is “bad news” and wanted back in jail. After an embarrassing struggle up against the wall as Neo tries to take the innocent Tucker into custody, the whole thing ends up costing Tucker his new job. So, they team up to go after Martin and make things right.
Despite the odd introduction to each other, and their very different personalities, a definite attraction exists. But eventually, they find a connection that strengthens as they get to know each other better. Will they decide to pursue the relationship? Or will they walk away when their mutual task has ended?
This was a good story with great characters the reader can immediately like. Neo is quiet and Tucker is loud, but it’s what they feel inside that sets the tone. Is there a HEA here? Did Fate finally bring Neo to the brother he needed to really find?
It was a pleasure to read this beautiful, heartwarming Mpreg bundle with three absolutely fantastic romances in it. The plots are intriguing & written with a steady pace & have some heartwarming events and/or unavoidable incidents. The characters are well-developed & interesting with a variety of emotional complexities & have some unusual traits and/or strong-willed personalities. There is good support from the secondary characters. **Unarmed #1** It is about: a rather defensive ex-military older alpha male (Blaze) is trying to recover from his time spent in the forces & takes up knitting with his Grandmother & later comes into contact with a young male omega (Logan) with some bad memories of betrayal & decides to ignore him then the situation changes, caring but scheming Grandmothers (Granny Harper & Nana), Logan’s cheating ex-boyfriend (Jacob) There is: some twists, memories, intrigue, drama, some humor, attractions, friendship, caring friends, denial, heat issues, desperation, confrontations, rejection, realization, advice, manipulations, determination, realization, doubts, romance, love, contentment, & a delightful, satisfying conclusion. **Packing Heat #2** It is about: a surly bounty hunter (Neo White) makes a honest mistake when he tries to apprehend the wrong twin (a sassy omega, Tucker Spears) instead of his criminal twin (a alpha, Martin Spears), Martin’s abused omega (Cassius aka Cass) There is: humor, action, adventure, some danger, threats, intrigue, drama, mild twists, mistaken identity, confrontations, misunderstandings, memories, negotiations, plans, attractions, insecurities, heat issues, bonding, some steam, surprises, contentment, happiness & a wonderful conclusion for this couple with an interesting ending. **Taking the Heat #3** It is about: : a successful writer & male omega (Charlie) is promptly shut down by the love of his life (Jones) but decides to ask Jones to help him with research about camping for his next book but once on the camping trail Charlie goes into heat, Charlie’s overprotective brother (JP) & Jones’s best friend There is: some mild twists, memories, intrigue, drama, attractions, friendship, secrets, denial, rejection, heartache, heat issues, determination, realization, doubts, protectiveness, choices, bonding, admittance, compromises, steamy scenes, love, contentment, & a sweet, satisfying conclusion. I would recommend this Mpreg romance bundle to people who enjoy reading this genre.
Great fluffy reading full of challenge, past, feelings and love
Blaze and Logan 4 stars.
Contains: one omega in heat, one alpha roomate, mpreg. Sweet story. Well writing. Emphasing on the struggle of each characters. Great friend and we all fell a little bit for each one of them. The trope is good. The fluidity is right. But sometime I was struggling to keep reading (bc its predictable), that's why I remove 1 star.
Once again, the author conveys all the emotions of her characters. The indecision, the despair and all the will to do his best to help his delinquent brother will bring Tucker to face the world of violence, but also meet the love of his life. Follow the slow-burning events with Neo, introverted alpha, bount hunter, whose mission is to arresting Martin and not tackling the charming omega barista. I was hesitating between 4 and 5 stars. I decided to remove one star because I think it's very long, and still, it lacks a little ending..... What happens to Cass? And Martin, will he want to change and accept the help suggested or not?
Charlie and Jones 5 stars.
Contains : My brother's best friend, extreme heat, bonding and mother nature. Charlie is at a dead end in his novel and needs advice from a professional survivalist, but the only one he knows is Jones, his brother's best friend and currently his ex-hookup. After many years on and off hookup behind JP's back, they have decided to stop. Jones can't accept his accident, his failure engraved in his head. He left himself, left Charlie and turned to whiskey. Charlie's offer interests him. A new adventure, calm, safe, smooth, stress-free on one of his familiar trails. But will they be able to survive their excursions into the forest despite all that nature has in store for them?
Unarmed book 1 Terrific start to the series. Logan and Blaze have trauma from their past to overcome. Logan has to learn to trust after being betrayed. Blaze has to learn how to live a life after devastating loss. His anger and PTSD symptoms hit the mark. I liked that Logan sees the reasons behind Blaze's behavior even before he knows all the details. It was even better when Blaze was willing to seek professional help. Both guys trip over misunderstandings and preconceptions before reaching a HEA. I thoroughly enjoyed the meddling 'granny brigade' and look forward to getting to know the other guys in the knitting club better. Recommended author
Audiobook: The narrator did a decent job overall, my only issue was the quality of the sound. Most of the time it sounded like he was inside a box. There are a few editing issues with repeated phrases, etc. All of these problems I would place at the feet of the production company, not the author or the narrator.
Packing Heat book 2 Terrific second book. Neo surprised me. I was expecting the cocky, self sure guy from the first book. He was actually thoughtful and gentle with Tucker. Tucker's vacillation on turning his brother in felt genuine. I loved that he jumps in to help Cass at every opportunity. I'm hoping his brother finds some redemption.
Audiobook: The narrator did a great job but the audio quality had some occasional issues. Obviously it is the production company not the narrator nor the author.
I'll add to this review when I complete book 3 Taking the Heat
A great story to read about two guys that go home to their home town. Alpha Blaze was in the military and was to only survivor from his last mission. After he wakes up he is discharged and sent home. While at home he lives with his Granny and after a nightmare she gets him started knitting. Everyday Blaze tries to improve his knitting. Omega Logan goes home to get over a broken heart. Logan rents a room from Blaze's Granny. Logan and Blaze spend time together and get to know each other better. Will they get their happen ending? Neo White is a bounty hunter looking for Martin Spears because he skipped his court date. Tucker Spears is Martin Spears twin. Tucker is an omega working at The Dream Bean. Neo accidentally tried to take Tucker down but then figures out that he is the wrong person because Martin is an alpha not an omega. After trying to apologize Neo leaves. Tucker get fired. Tucker runs into Neo a few times and then decides to help Neo bring Martin in so that he can finally get the help he needs to straighten his life out. After spending time together Neo and Tucker are starting to like each other. Has Tucker found the person he wants to spend the rest of his life with? Has Neo finally found something to make him happy? A great book to read. This is the third book in the series.

The Knitting Club - book series and boxed set is about three friends who start knitting to help them overcome PTSD and other stress-related problems. It all starts with Blaze, a soldier, who suffers from PTSD and survivor's guilt. Hiding from the world at his grandmother's house until she believes it is time to regroup. She sets him up with needles and wool and as knitting can be quite meditative it helps him to stay grounded and to slowly recover. His friends join him little by little, until they are a small circle. While working on their issues, they also find their partners, who have their own stories to tell. A nice set of stories, showing that alphas are allowed to knit and to be vulnerable at times. the stories are fun and entertaining, but they do hold a grain of sad reality when talking about stress-related diseases. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a great bundle about big strong alpha men who turn to a unique source of stress relief...knitting. The whole idea sounded so incongruous to me that I initially passed on the first book when it came out. However, when the second book arrived, I was intrigued by the story summary and read it. I thoroughly enjoyed the mistaken identity, snarky exchanges, snappy and self-sufficient omega, and protective workaholic alpha of Packing Heat, so when the box set was offered, I took advantage of the opportunity to grab the whole series. Packing Heat is still my favorite in the series, but all three are great entertainment. The three books have a mix of situations and stressors, but they all have sweet omegas, strong alphas, some hot, steamy times, and a host of meddling family members and friends.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
Loved this set of 3 interconnected stories about a group of Alpha friends and the omegas they meet and connect to. Each of the characters are quite different. The 4 Alphas - Blaze a veteran injured out of the military, Neo a bounty hunter, Jones a survival specialist and JP a firefighter - have been friends for many years. Each story is set in the small town of Burnt Hill where the alphas all live alongside some of their meddling grandmothers. As a stress reliever initially for Blaze and his PTSD his grandmother teaches him to knit. Each book covers a different alpha meeting and bonding with his alpha. There is lots of humour, drama, angst, romance and knitting! Great boxset.

These stories are romantic, intense and funny. The alpha's are older, and determined to not take advantage of the omega's. The omega's are very determined themselves, and make it impossible for the alpha's to turn them down forever. The storylines are interesting, there's always a good reason (the alpha's think) for all the couples to not immediately become involved. These guys are not all that smart sometimes, and it takes them forever to figure stuff out. They're all tied together because of the knitting club, each couple is also intertwined because of friendship or because there's a family member involved. This is one of the best series I've read and I highly recommend adding it to your TBR list.
Unlike some of Austin' books this did not tell much about what happened right after they knotted. You found out in the next book. The one thing I didn't like was I desperately wanted to see the knitting shop opened. I wanted to see all 4 guys working there with Logan having an Uber successful YouTube channel out of there. I wanted to see Charlie have a bestseller with this next book. So that his husband becomes a partner at the knitting place but I wanted him to take Charlie around where ever he needed to go. Plus what about the Knotting? You just know there is a baby. I loved the writing ,as always, I could 4 put it down. I just want a few more answers Or another book for that series. Still...H I G H L Y R E C O M M E N D E D!
Unarmed Blaze and Logan are not expecting such a connection with one another. They both have issues to come to terms with. Their grandmothers are wonderful.
Packing Heat I adore this knitting club. This is Neo's story. Tucker is full of bravado. I could wish for a bit more at the end, but I know the next book will touch base with their future plans.
Taking the Heat Jones and Charlie had an off again thing they hid from JP, Charlie's brother and Jones' friend. Jones pushed back hard and hurt Charlie. Neither is good at admitting the truth and the years have gone by.
This box set flows like a smooth river. I enjoyed this set. Austin did a phenomenal job with these stories. It was outstanding. You get to know the characters intimately and it will have you soaring. This is one author that you do not want to miss! Unarmed will leave you speechless and get your motor to rev. It will get your heart racing and leave you wanting more! Get ready because what lies between the pages will have you looking for a nice cold refresher before it is all over!

This is a great read. Every book is different with a few overlapping characters. I loved every book. But I would say my favorite is book 3. In it I learned a few things about the wilderness along the way. Jones and Charlie have been toying with each other’s feelings for a long time. When the two get to spend a few days alone the heat skyrockets. This peaked my interest to read the first 2 books in the series.
These stories are so good! Funny, sweet, and heartbreaking! Fell in love with all these guys and absolutely loved the grandma brigade! They were hilarious ! I’m glad the knitting helped them! Recommend this series!

Blaze's world came crashing down around him leaving him hurt and without a clear path. He never saw the curve coming until it was in front of him and now he has a chance for something more only if he'll allow himself to have it.

This box set is absolutely a must have. As always well written stories with a great storylines and plots. It contains amazing stories that has a lot of chemistry and passion in them. If you enjoy romances that offer plenty of sizzling heat, dirty naughtiness and a taboo edge you can not go wrong with this very entertaining and enjoyable collection.
I picked this story because my best friend invited me to join her knitting club. As a fellow designer, I already knew how to knit, but had not done so for so long. Finding a great story about strong gay men knitting, was very intriguing and a great storyline! Thanks!!! Good work, looking for more!
When do we get JP'S book? I wish each book felt complete but u have to wait for the next for continuation. Did Neo and Tucker have their baby? I have other questions that I hope will be answered in the next book... I love these characters and the multilayered feel and amazing family these 4 men have in each other and their strong Omegas.
This is a very good series dealing with tough issues such as PTSD, low self-esteem, and communication skills. The Granny Brigade as an element if fun and humor that brings all these guys where they need to be through knitting lessons. I thoroughly enjoyed each story.
A enjoyable collection of stories. Each story is well written, the characters are likeable and have amazing chemistry. The stories will hold your attention all the way through. You will enjoy this collection from this author.
This is such a great bundle. Three separate stories, each amazing on their own. These three Alphas are brought together by one grandmother who knits and teaches them the art of creating something from nothing, and relaxing into themselves. Definitely worth the purchase.
4.5 stars - I liked each of these unique couples. I did have some trouble with Tucker and Neo in the beginning, but let's face it, so did they. Each story had its own brand of sexy and sweet, and who could pass on the Granny Brigade.
Three men fighting their own demons and trying to find peace in their lives. Three men come into their lives and things are never going to be the same. I really enjoyed this series.
