Rate this book
After Katie Boles finds names that might exonerate her brother, she goes in search of the people listed in his diary. However, tracking down a copycat killer isn’t as easy as it looks in the movies. The first one turns up dead, then her deputy-bodyguard goes missing, and then more bodies appear – along with a face-to-face confrontation with a man who may be the serial killer. Her skirmish with the man leads to some major revelations in the case and possibly a solution to the murders.

Entertaining mystery listening 🎶🔰

Another will written murder mystery adventure thriller short story book three A Gripping Mystery Suspense Medical Thriller by Marc Timms. The investigation continues with her and a police officer going to a Doctor office. There they find a man beating the doctor, a beaten police officer, and lots of evidence. Continued in book four. I would recommend this series to readers of action mysteries novels 👍🔰. Enjoy the adventure of reading. 2022 😮👒😈

After her brother was killed being transported from the prison to the sheriffs office. Katie goes with the Sheriff to a locker she keeps with her parent’s and some of her brother’s things. The Sheriff gets some examples of his writing to compare to the mail from the prison. Katie finds her brother’s diary but doesn’t say anything. On one of the days of the killing her brother had listed two appointments. One was easier for Katie to find since it was an unusual name. She goes there and his mother opens the door. The Sheriff shows up and you can tell he is mad at Katie for coming here. They do ask the mother if she knew of any appointments he had on that particular day. She said she couldn’t remember and her son probably couldn’t either. While the Sheriff is still talking to the mother to see if she knows where her son is, Katie is looking around the room and spots a picture of the woman and probably her husband and son. Then the Sheriff says it’s time to go. Katie asked if he saw the picture but he hadn’t. Katie said the son was the man found dead in her driveway. There was still one name to check out and Officer Desmond was still missing. You will have to read to see what happens next. I still don’t like how short the books are and how abruptly they end.

Interesting, Fast Moving Plot

As this is a series, I will leave the same review for each book. The first book certainly captured my attention. The plot is interesting and very fast moving; however, I do feel as if Timms (author) easily gave away the killer which only left the reader to find out whether or not Katie's brother was actually innocent or not. Overall, a good series. I'm giving this 3 stars due to the grammar and editing throughout the book. Although I realize this series is self-published, someone who professes to love creative writing and proceeds to write multiple series, should take pride in their work. To use words incorrectly, and basically not proofread your "baby" prior to publishing is lazy. Spellcheck is right at your fingertips and I'm quite sure there was someone who would have volunteered to proofread the final copy before print. I cut zero slack for sloppy writing because HE IS IN FACT A WRITER!

This was a fantastic read. I highly recommend the series, however, it is best to read the 5 books one after the other. This series could have been written in one book since each book is about 4 or 5 chapters. This was a wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well-defined characters and found them believable. I hope there are more books in this series.

Katie's brother was convicted of being a serial killer who ended up in prison. While in prison, a copycat killer started killing people who knew her and her brother. As Katie tries to call up her memories of her brother and his friends to help locate the identity of the next victim, killings continue to occur. It seems the copycat killer was always one step ahead of everyone. There were twists and turns; uncertainty who to believe, and a relationship starting to build between Katie and the sheriff.

This series of books had me gripped from the get go.

SUSPENSE, THRILLER AND A BIG TWIST TOWARDS THE END.

The sister of a serial killer, trying to live off the grid and away from the shape of her brother, all is well until bodies start to turn up dead in and around her property!

Is she killing people and following in her brothers footsteps or is there a copy cat killer?

When her brother is killed on his way to talk about the case, no one can believe it, why would someone kill the man who was tried for the previous murders.

Who has more access to the files and evidence then anyone else? Are the police all they seem?

I just finished reading Shock The Chase by Mark Timms. In this next installment of the “Shocked” series, more clues unfold as Katie tries to clear her deceased brother’s name as a serial killer and stop the current killer who is leaving dead people all around her. She finds her brother’s journal that shows some possible alibi's and starts to track them down. The police don’t seem to be helping that much. Read the book to see how the case unfolds. I can’t wait until the next installment!

I received a free copy for an honest review.

This book builds up the suspense with each episode. Katie is still looking for answers after her brother left her a clue in his belongings. She finally gets some answers but is left with more questions at the end. Looking forward to the next episode. i would recommend this book. I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest review.

Part three of Shock. In this piece of the story Katie is working hard to prove her brother isn't a serial killer. Many exciting clues and events to make this book entertaining. I am enjoying this one.

Katie is beginning to believe that her brother may have been innocent after all, especially after finding her brother's journal. Unfortunately, she seems to be chasing her tail as the copycat (or real?) Shock Killer is constantly one step ahead of her.

Not bad, but it's really a regular sized book divided up into 5 parts. I stopped with #3.
