Not So Evil #11

Stone Cold Love

Rate this book
Who said villains are bad? Okay, maybe we ended up that way, but that’s not how we started out. Do you really think I came out of the womb wanting to turn men to stone?

Well, I didn’t. I was cursed by that jealous cow Athena. She’s not as wise and righteous as people believe. She’s vain, petty, and an all out B that ends itch.

Truth be told, before I was cursed, I was nothing but a simple village girl, living a simple life. A girl who caught the eyes of the wrong Gods. Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon. They are the real villains of this story. They are the ones who destroyed everything I held dear, and took away the men I loved most in the world in the most diabolical of ways. It’s only human nature why I used my curse to my advantage and took my revenge, becoming the legend and monster I am now.

My name is Medusa, Mistress of Hell, Tamer of the Serpents, Lady of Stone, and this is my story.

TRIGGER WARNING RAPE SCENES & DRUG USAGE

This was an interesting twist on the villain getting their happily ever after. I wished the reincarnation was talked about more but the mending of it was beneficial. It's a Simi quick read with a little bit of heat.

**Trigger Warning- there is talk of sexual abuse so be warned. **

So not going to lie, I was speechless when I was done reading this book. I mean I do love reading books about the greek gods. This one is gritty, tear inducing, kindle throwing, and wanting to jump in the story to start beating up some people. Let's meet Asudem, she is one tough chick, and talented. She has been having some wicked weird dreams. Then there is the hot Percy Daseus. So as she is trying to live her life and dealing with high school only to feel like dejavu has occured. Can you learn from your dreams? Are the dreams from the past. They way things are written, it does not seem like it is the past but the here and now. The flow of this story was exceptional and amazing that you don't see the end coming. Will it end the same as Asudem past or change? This is definitely one of my favorites this year and needs to be on your to read list.

Wow this is such an amazing book. Even though the characters are from greek mythology they're also in modern day and more relatable to the readers. Asudem is a freaking beast of a character, she is very outspoken and to the point. I love her and her bestie Trace who is the bestie ride or die chick ever. This book is very vividly detailed like you can feel her anger and pain, and it sucks you in from the beginning and has you laughing at something the characters say or at the edge of your seat in anticipation of what's going to happen. I highly recommend this book and just so you know there's a trigger warning.

So good!!

This is completely different than any other gods/goddess book I’ve read. It was so exciting to read a book about a villain getting their happy ever after, when typically the villains are frowned upon. I loved all the characters in the book and how it all came together. There was so much detail that it was very satisfying reading you weren’t left with unanswered questions but rather thinking what’s gonna happen next because it doesn’t follow any other book that’s out there where you can guess “what’s next”. Definitely read this book!!!

I love, love, loved this Medusa retelling. From her name Asudem, to the way her story played out, I was hooked. I truly didn't want it to end. The idea of living the same story over and over and never getting to change your ending. From seeing her memories play out until she finally embraced the monster within and taking control of her destiny and finding the love she was missing, Ms. Jones did this tale complete and utter justice.

I absolutely loved this take on Greek mythology played out during the present time. Reincarnation for someone like Medusa has to be challenging.

Asudem has to try and navigate life as a barely legal women while trying to understand her crazy real dreams. To top of it she is at war with Athena while trying to build a relationship with Perseus and deal with a jealous ex... let’s not forget her stalker god that has made her life almost unbearable.

This is a fantastic read!

Another great book by Cy Jones. Her books are always so interesting and this doesn’t fail to be the same. I loved her twist on Medusa. She brought warmth and heart to a cold hearted woman that was betrayed by the very Gods that she worshipped and that was suppose to protect her. I loved it. Great work again Cy Jones Thank you so much

Not so Evil

This was an interesting story of a not so evil Medusa and the rest of the Gods that have to be reincarnated until the right decision is made that the fates can accept. Can Medusa contain the monster inside her? Will she find the love she so desperately wants? This is a book worth reading.

Medusa was a victim of selfish behavior by the gods . Beings that were supposed to love and protect her but destroyed her instead. I think Poseidon should’ve had a harsh punishment then what actually happened because that was total BS. It was a really good book except Poseidon and Athena 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Brilliant twist on Medusas story.
Medusa a girl who was preyed upon by a god and raped in the temple of her Goddess. This is such a sad story, By Cy Jones, has given it a bit more light.. a bit more hope that Medusa can have a happy ending.
I really enjoyed this story.

Modern Retelling

Enjoyable modern retelling of Ancient Greek literature. Some darker themes within the book. Engaging read that makes you want to see what happens next.
