I thought I found a prince, but he turned out to be a toad. Then that toad turned into a monster and I ran away, taking my little girl with me. Deciding to start over, I moved to Virginia, hoping for a safe place to live and finding so much more. I found my gorgeous neighbor, and he set out to heal my heart, to show me true happiness existed. But when evil comes knocking on my door, I discover that even my newfound salvation might not be enough to protect me.
Sawyer Ellsbury
Being a Ranger was my life, until it was taken away from me in the blink of an eye. I spent years healing and trying to decide what my next steps would be. Owning a boxing gym is my own slice of heaven, and I never thought it would get any better until my new neighbor moves in with her little girl. I want them more than my next breath of air, but I have to prove to her that I’m worth the risk. I’ve vowed to always protect them, but soon enough I’m fighting to keep that promise. And if I can’t, we just might lose everything.
I suggest reading the Salvation Series by Corinne Michaels before reading books in the Society, but it is not a requirement.
Key Points for this story in the Salvation Society Collection: - Romantic Suspense (light) / Contemporary - Slow Burn - CW: Grief, Death, Trauma, Recovery - Single Mom, New Life - Brother of a Beloved Salvation Series Character, Retired SEAL, and Gym Owner - Salvation Series connection is Natalie, Liam, and Beckett

Revive is part of the Salvation World but we get to meet brand new characters as well as catching up with with some of the original salvation crew!
Genevieve is in need of a fresh start with her beautiful daughter after going through a traumatic event in her life. The job of her dreams comes up in Virginia so she makes the journey to begin her new life.
Sawyer is one hell of a hunk, an ex Ranger he is the ultimate alpha. But underneath that tough exterior is a gentle, loving, sweet guy who would do anything for his friends and family.
Sawyer comes to Gen’s rescue as she’s moving in to her new house, and Gen struggles to keep her carefully constructed walls intact as Sawyer begins to show her over and over that he’s nothing like her low-life Ex.
What ensues is a beautiful story of starting over, learning to open up your heart to the endless possibilities that love can provide. Unfortunately, something dark is lurking around the corner, and as Gen and Sawyer get closer, someone is hoping to tear them both apart.
This story absolutely blew me away from the beginning. Being a huge fan of Heathers, I knew she would bring it with this book, but I wasn’t prepared for the intense journey it took me on! Revive is beautifully written, with everything from the their connection, to how much Sawyer loves both Gen and her daughter. And their families are so awesome!!!
One of my top reads of the year, I cannot recommend it enough!!!
I love everything about Heather Lyn’s new book, “Revive.” It is emotional and romantic as well as suspenseful, which is the perfect combination. Ms. Lyn is a very passionate writer and her words seep into your soul, making you feel her characters happiness as well as their pain.
Sawyer is one of the most romantic men I have ever come across in a romance novel. He is thoughtful, handsome and brave and is the perfect man for Gen. She needed a hero, a protector and a man who would cherish her and her daughter Bailey forever. Sawyer not only rescued her daughter the day they met, but he also found a way into Gen’s heart with his kindness and friendship. Gen wasn’t looking for love, but having Sawyer living across the street made her feel safe for the first time in a long time.
Sawyer knew that his future included Gen and Bailey but he wasn’t sure that she felt the same way. He could see it in her eyes that she longed for him but something was holding her back. Gen was feisty, independent and her daughter was her first priority. Some memories of her past would never go away but being with Sawyer and getting to know him made her realize that she could trust him with her heart.
I was caught up in the emotions of Gen and Sawyer from the moment they first met, from their anticipation of their first date to their realization that they couldn’t live without one another. Their positive outlook on life was refreshing and fate definitely brought them together so they could become a family.
This story jumps into Corinne Michaels new world called The Salvation Society where certain characters that were in the Salvation series pop up in these new characters books. I love these new worlds that we're getting at the moment from the few authors that are doing them.
Plus we also get to see some of Heather's characters from her last release and to say how happy I was I couldn't contain my excitement lol. But if you haven't read any of her work it doesn't matter you don't need to read the other books before this one.
There's no secret how much I love this woman's work and this story is just fantastic I can't say enough great things about it. The characters are beautiful and the story is just amazing.
Genevieve moves to a new place with her little girl after what went down with her POS ex. So she had to leave and start over somewhere else. Whilst she's moving her things in to her new home something happens and a man runs in front of her home and comes to the rescue.
Sawyer sees that someone's moved into the house across the street from him. Whilst out on a run he's getting closer to his house and he gets there just in time to see someone shoot out into the road. He then gets to meet the lovely and gorgeous Genevieve. His new neighbour
Gen's ex put her through alot so she keeps herself and her heart guarded. Sawyer knows that something happened in her past but he wants to break her walls down because Gen and her little girl deserves the world.
I freaking loved this story so damn much. We get the whole friends to lovers and I totally love that trope. Because I love all of Heather's work I know we'd have to get a little bit of suspense thrown into the mix and that we did lol. I laughed, I giggled, I had hand on the heart moments, snort laughed and I cried sad and happy tears. I loved it from the very first page until the very last.
The pull of an instant connection, and the magic of a developing relationship is what romance books are all about, and Author Heather Lyn wrote Genevieve and Sawyer’s story beautifully in REVIVE. Everything about this book makes it amazing. From the gorgeous men that Sawyer and his brother were, through the presence of Liam Dempsey and his wife Natalie from The Salvations Series, to Genevieve and baby Bailey.
Sawyer simply put, was so perfect that he strayed into unicorn territory. Not only was he physically gorgeous, going only on Genevieve’s observations alone, but he was kind, considerate, loving and protective. From the moment he rescued his beautiful new neighbour’s wee girl from the road, and found out it was just the two of them, he was wanting to spend more time with them, time that he found to be relaxing and fun.
Genevieve was a character to be admired. Her baby-daddy was a nasty piece of work, but with the help of family, she rescued herself and was brave enough to see him behind bars, and she built herself up and found a new life away from the town she’d lived in. Her little daughter Bailey was just the most beautiful wee girl, and she was infused with the most gorgeous cheeky two-year-old personality. Ms Lyn wrote the developing relationship between Gen and Sawyer in a timeline that matched the book perfectly. I believe in going about their everyday routines as they laughed and spent time together with little Bailey had me falling in love right along with them. How could I not fall in love with a man who did all the cute things that fathers do with their daughters, loving her as if she were his own.
The military aspect was icing on the proverbial cake, as was the stalker, making this book one that fitted perfectly into Author Corinne Michael’s Salvation Society Series, and ensuring that it is pretty much one of my favourites from Heather Lyn. What made the book even better was the presence of Gen’s cousins, Drew and Jace Miller, and those who are familiar with Ms Lyn’s books will have read Drew and Stella’s story in Just with you (Taphouse Blues #3).
At the risk of repeating myself, I absolutely loved everything about this book, making it definitely 5-Star worthy, and one that I’ll be re-reading as I have with her other books. Check them out for yourself 🖤💞✶
Heather Lyn, with each new book you write, you take it to a whole new level, and Revive was no exception. I am literally blown away by this. I don’t know what to say other than grab this book, a box of Kleenex, a coffee, or maybe something stronger, a change of panties ;) and kick back and experience all that is the sweet and swoony Sawyer Ellsbury!!! The beautiful and strongly independent Genevieve Miller is a survivor. She packed up her little girl and ran, trying to escape her past and the monster who resides there. A new town close to family with a hot as hell neighbor is just what she needs for a fresh start. Things are looking up for Former ranger now gym owner Sawyer Ellsbury when this gorgeous woman and her adorable little girl Bailey move in right across the street from him. The connection between them is instant and easygoing, and just what they both need to put their troubles behind them. But sometimes that’s easier said than done. We all know monsters never stay hidden! Will Sawyer and his goofy yet fiercely loyal brother Beckett be enough to keep her safe? With everything on the line, he will do whatever it takes to keep the girls who hold his heart safe!! Loved loved loved this story! I laughed, I cried, I cursed, and I swooned. The characters were beyond fantastic, with some old favorites Jace and Stella Miller making an appearance and new ones Like little Bailey and My boy Beckett demanding my attention. I could not put this book down. Five Fan Freakin Tastic stars lady!!!
Genevieve, aka Gen, Miller was in a very bad relationship with an emotionally abusive man, and he ultimately traded up to physical abuse one night. She didn't even second guess herself, she was out of there & it probably had something to do with her having a tiny human baby (with him) so she went to her family's house & they got her out of there while he got several months in prison. She finally goes to a new place to start over again, and from the jump, she feels a connection with her super hottie neighbor, Sawyer. From there things started taking off between them, and trust me when I say, the scenes between Saw & her tiny human were complete gold. As she's in a good place & happy, she learns she has a stalker so things are taking a dangerous turn, but no one can figure out who that person is. And that's all that I'm going to say about that, but trust me, there's more. I really enjoyed Revive a lot but it seemed a tad slow to me at first for whatever reason then it hit the ground at a full run so I felt like something was skipped but that's just my opinion so decide for yourselves! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Revive, part of the Salvation world, is such an engrossing read! I felt just about every emotion as I read this book, from romance to fear to anger to sadness, and everything in between. The author writes characters well, making me feel everything they did. And the balance of the romantic elements, the suspense elements, and the personal stories of both main characters was absolutely perfect, which was why it was such a page-turner.
Genevieve and Sawyer had an instant connection, but what I love the most about them is that they were both flawed characters in their own ways. Both had baggage from their lives before, something that most of us can identify with. And I appreciated that there was no pushing of the romance. Instead, it felt real as it developed over the course of the story. One of the things I loved most was that Sawyer, even with his potential alpha-male tendencies, wasn’t a jerk with it. He simply loved and care for Gen and her daughter. That was refreshing! And Gen… that is a strong female character which I ADORED! She escaped a terrible situation and found a way to build a good life for herself and her daughter. She was everything I love in a female protagonist.
Wow, what a beautiful love story between Sawyer and Genevieve. Two very strong and loving people. They both want the happiness of love. Sawyer is starting a new path in life having to give up his career in the military. Genevieve is starting over with her daughter Bailey. They both left behind a very dumb ex boyfriend who never wanted them. So moving from everyone Gen knows and loves takes the step to go to Virginia. She moves in a house right across from Sawyer. After saving Bailey once their friendship starts. Thru many ups, downs and conversations they become more so much more! I loved how Sawyer shows so much control and gave Gen time to fall in love. He loves both of these girls so much already you fell it off the pages. Sawyer wants the whole package. Yet can alk their love and happiness be destroyed from an unknown evil? Will this new family and love survive? Read and find out to the end. Have tissues ready for laughing and crying.
This was a true love story that starts off with Gen running away to save her and her daughter. She knows she deserves more than she was getting and it's time to show her baby girl that she is stronger than anyone. When she moves into a cute neighborhood she never realizes that her life is about to change when she meets her neighbor. Sawyer has been through so much and is just trying to heal and move on. He opens a gym to help those around and when he meets the neighbor and her beautiful daughter he doesn't realize what he is missing. What I loved about these two is even though the story of them moved fast it didn't leave anything out. Sawyer is there to protect them both, but sometimes you aren't there in enough time. I loved that not only was Phoebe's family involved but so was Sawyers and it just brought it all together. Can they fall in love and live happily ever after?
This was an absolute beautiful and impassioned story that will enchant you from start to finish. Sawyer and Gen's story is one filled with inspiration, heartbreak, strength and ultimately heart searing love. A single mum story that shows you the determination that a woman will go to in the hope of giving her daughter love and protection. A story that shows us sometimes we have to endure the heartache to find the one person we can call home. Revive is about refreshing our paths to find safety, love and happiness. This poignant story will steal your heart and own your soul as the emotions play out. It had angst, drama, suspense, passion, heat and heart wrenching moments. I cried, laughed, smiled and swooned as Sawyer brought a light to Gen and Bailey's lives. A story that wraps itself tightly around you and has the words lodging deep into your heart.
Genevieve has managed to escape her past and is looking for a new beginning with her daughter Bailey. She never expected that her first meeting with her new neighbor would be when he came to her daughter’s rescue but from that moment on she was drawn to him even if she wasn’t sure she was ready to let another man into her life.
Sawyer is adjusting to life after the military and now owns a gym. From the moment he met Genevieve and her daughter he knew that they were special. He is determined to show her that they belong together and that he will do whatever is necessary to keep them safe.
Both Genevieve and Sawyer are at a crossroads as they try to adapt to all the changes in their lives but they show that as long as they are together they are unbeatable.
3.75⭐️ I received this book for free as part of a drawing and I could not be happier! Genevieve’s history is far too common & tragic, but when she decides to start over for herself and her baby girl Bailey in a new state, hours away from everything she had known, her life really does begin again. Sawyer was honorably discharged from the Army Rangers after an IED 3 years ago, started a gym, and is simply going through the motions. The moment he scoops his new neighbors daughter up into his arms as she darts towards the street, his life is irrevocably changed and for the better. The raw emotions of this story brought tears to my eyes on several occasions! For all the trials that Gen and Sawyer go through, it only brings them closer.
I absolutely loved this book! Heather Lyn had a way of combining romance, tears, and suspense into a page turner story.
Can I marry Sawyer?!?! He is a wonderful hero in this book. Patient, kind, loving. He always makes Genevieve and Bailey feel like the most important thing in his world. In return, they make him feel the same.
Genevieve had a difficult past. Meeting Sawyer was like a fresh breath of air. However, she was still wary given her situation. She definitely didn’t expect to find everything she has ever been looking for.
Come join the emotional ride of this book. You will not be disappointed!
OH my heck! Gen & Sawyer are sweet & steamy & honest & relationship goals. They start out w/ a rescue & move into a very sweet neighborly friendship, because with Gen's past, she needs to move a bit slower into any new relationships. Sawyer, and let's be honest, his family, win her over!
And sweet Bailey & her Saw. SWOON! Even if he wasn't awesome boyfriend material - which he most definitely IS - his relationship w/ Bailey is just adorable & fun & I love every minute!
So, top recommendation & a favorite read of 2021 for me!
Revive was such a great read. Genevieve Miller moves with her adorable little girl to Virginia to get away from a monster, there she meets her neighbor Sawyer Ellsbury! I loved how their relationship progressed from friends to so much more!! Sawyer was so swoony and sweet! Pretty much the perfect man. Gen was sweet and strong and definitely needed a man like Sawyer in her life. Sawyer and Gen were relationship goals! Bailey was so so cute. I loved how much she loved Saw! Definitely recommend this!
Another great addition to the Salvation Society. I love a strong hero and when you pair that with a single mom with an adorable little girl, you know that this will be one book that you want to add to your library.
However, be prepared this couple's HEA takes a time to get there, the road is rocky, but with what Geneverva went through with her ex you can't blame her. Sawyer was perfect for Gen's patient and understanding while dealing with his transformation from military to civilian life.
I loved this story so much! It has the perfect combination of emotions, suspense and beautiful romance. I loved Sawyer and Genevieve! They were great together. They were just what the other one needed. Along with her daughter Bailey, they made a great family. When trouble comes their way will their relationship be to survive? Will their family stay together? Revive grabbed me from the start and wouldn’t let me go until the end! I loved the relationship between Bailey and her Saw! They were adorable! I loved the book and highly recommend it to everyone!
Heather Lyn is a new(er) to me author that quickly stole my heart and became a drop everything and read her books as soon as it’s in my possession author.
Sawyer, Gen, and of course Bailey absolutely stole my heart in Revive! This book was a slower build of a relationship, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. These two couldn’t rush into things, especially given Gen’s rocky past, and Sawyer truly did prove he was a perfect fit for the both of them in every way.
Loved the development of the characters, the storyline, the heat, and the romance that all made for a fantastic book! Well done!
This story has all the feeling you could have. The characters are so fitting for get other. I love The Ellsbury family to. After having a tough few year Genevieve is starting over with her little girl Bailey in Virginia Beach. She sure did not or was looking for her Hot neighbor Sawyer. Over time they grow closer and sweet little Bailey grabs Sawyers heart and he is determined to make them His Girls.
First read from this author, but I will be reading more. Loved this story, so many feels, I was crying and smiling and all wrapped up in the story Genevieve has been thru the worst but finding her way to Virginia Beach with her daughter ready to start over makes her strong. She meets her handsome neighbor Sawyer Ellsbury the first day and they are drawn to each other with lots of suspense and tragedy. LOVED IT and the Epilogue I hope his brother has a book
Normally I'm not a fan of insta-love, but this book didn't bother me. I think because both characters are in their early 30's and have their own careers. Gen is running from her ex, but she had a career before him. I liked that their relationship developed easily and was so sweet.
I thought it was a cute story (there is something tragic, check for TW) but overall a sweet and spicy read.
Well this is probably book 20 of the series I've read. I just can't get enough of the SEALS. Hot, sexy alphas, who wouldn't want one? Sawyer and Gen just burn up the pages. Their love so bright, they saved each other, and brought each other back to life. This was a page turner, again couldn't stop reading it till it was done. Love love love this series
10 stars!!!!! Heather once again told a story that would normally trigger, but in her usual way she did it was a lot of sympathy. I really love the character of Genevieve. She's strong and brave and her daughter Baily is her entire world. As it should be. I wnt say too much abut why, I don't want to put spoilers in her, And SAWYER!!!!!! Holy swoon worthy. He is what perfection is
Heather Lynn has written an amazing and heartwarming story for the Salvation Series with Genevieve and Sawyer. There is mystery and suspense that will keep you guessing and break your heart, but Sawyer is the the amazing man that Genevieve has always needed, but didn’t think she deserved for her and her daughter. This a a wonderful and heartwarming story that is not to be missed!
Genevieve and her daughter Bailey find themselves moving to Virginia, needing to get away from an abusive and deadbeat dad. Hot neighbor Sawyer finds himself looking out and falling for both of them. When things start going bad, only Gen and Sawyer can save each other…
First lemme just say I've read every book by this author. I love her books, and I've enjoyed watching her grow as an author. This is my favorite book so far ... the way she draws you in and makes you feel everything the characters do. I love Sawyer and Genevieve so much Bailey was the sprinkles ontop of the sundae.
I thought this was going to be a light and fluffy read but this book was really emotional. I cried tons of tears and loved every word. Gen and Sawyer were both great characters but I loved the family aspect of the story the most. Bailey was also cute. Great and heartwarming single mom read! Get the tissues ready!
I have to say I think this the best book that Heather has written it just blew me away. I love how characters from previous books like Jace who I really liked and it gives it more of a family feel to it. All in all it is certainly one that needs to be read I wish I could give it more than 5*
What is not to love? Sawyer is every woman's dream. His and Genevieve's story is not to be missed. Genevieve has had a rough past with her baby's dad and as she starts over, trouble follows but Sawyer is by her side. Love it!
