While in North Carolina, Anika’s neck of the woods, life changes for both Brooklyn and Anika. When Brooklyn finds new love from a local d-boy named Knucks, she starts to pay attention to all of the negative qualities that her best friend, Anika, has always had.
Man-made problems arise, and it’s up to girls to keep their friendship on track. Drown yourself in this novella about two best friends that just can’t seem to get it right. Their loyalty to one another is constantly tested, and when it’s time to apologize, it just might be too late.
**WARNING** This is a re-release with a little added flavor Formerly known She Was My Best Jazzy and Anika by C. Wilson
C. Wilson was born Celeste Harris in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York. Growing up she always wanted to major in Journalism to one day become a News Anchor. Like most teenagers, she briefly lost sight of her true passion. At the youthful age of 19 she lost her mother. When all felt at lost, a light shown through the stormy gray clouds. At the age of 20 she was headed down the path towards motherhood. On a warm spring day her first child was welcomed into the world. A prince that would one day be handed the crown and become King. At 21, she married her high school sweetheart and focused more on her writing. In just a matter of seven months she wrote her very first work of art: Truth is Stranger than Fiction. Throughout her life she may have lost sight of her true passion for writing but she never lost love for it. What's next for Celeste Wilson? Being a full time mother, a full time wife, a full time working woman and a full time author. Expect Book appearances, conferences, public appearances and of course, more urban fiction novels.
I tell you this, I was not expecting this book too have so much going on. I had to turn around and look. I like the book because it was not typical at all.. I still have some questions. This is a must read.
I really enjoyed reading this book, however, I'm still mad at the ending. That was not the closure I was seeking. Nonetheless this was still a good book!
First read by this author and it was good. Anika and Brooklyn were just so interesting I can't believe that it ended the way it did but it was still good
