Max had the perfect wife and the perfect life, but his happiness proved a house of cards, and on one fateful night, the whole structure came crashing down. Facing unbearable heartbreak, Max resolves to clear his head beneath the Caribbean sun. Perhaps some respite will give him the chance to find a new path forward.
Despite his initial doubts, Max finds that island life is just what he’d needed. As new friends and eye-opening encounters bring him back from the brink, peace and purpose appear within reach. The beach existence begins to soothe his troubled soul at last.
But it isn’t time to celebrate just yet, as paradise has a dark side—one that Max could never have imagined in his darkest dreams. Undead beings surface, and nirvana soon runs red with blood, transformed into a hellscape.
Voodoo may have caused this nightmare, and nothing short of a miracle will help Max get out alive.
A tale of undead carnage and mayhem, VOODOO SUN embarks for bliss but lands in true perdition.

Absolutely loved this book. It had an Island Resort, a cruise ship, romance and Voodoo. A thrilling build up to the outbreak. Plenty of hold your breath moments. Really liked the characters and was pulled into their fight to survive. Highly recommend this book.
a great book by a great author. A thought gripping story, it is that good once you start you will not be able to put it down. a great story you wont want it to end.
Max seems to be living the perfect life. That is, until he finds his wife having sex with another man. Their planned vacation to an island resort is now in jeopardy. However, Max's friends and family convince him that time in the Caribbean sun might be just what he needs.
He meets new friends and soon develops a relationship with a beautiful woman. Maybe he can forget his wife, Katie, after all. Just when he thinks that, Katie shows up and things get complicated.
Meanwhile, while visiting the local tourist attractions, Max and friends witness a voodoo ceremony that seems way too realistic. A woman from a cruise ship is given a foul liquid while under some type of spell and Max steps in before something horrible happens.
Once the cruise ship passengers are back on the ship, things really take a turn for the worst. Soon, undead beings (zombies) start attacking and the ship turns into a death trap. Passengers, both the living and the undead, jump from the ship and the idyllic island resort becomes a scene out of your worst nightmare.
I will admit that I almost gave up on this book. The first third of the book was basically a sexual romp for Max and friends. Then, the book abruptly turns to a zombie fest. I liked the idea of the zombies being created by voodoo and the last half of the book with Max and the other tourists fighting for their lives was action-packed and well-written. The idea of being stuck on a cruise ship with the undead was totally creepy and something that I would never want to experience.
All in all, if you can get past the first third of the book (which read like a man's wet dream), this is a pretty good book. I was given the chance to read this book by the author and chose to review it.
Even with the book title and cover, I didn’t know what to expect. I liked the adult theme of the primary story. I also liked how the second part of the story was integrated in. I think a bit more of a backstory for the second part of the plot would have helped with the transition. The characters were awesome. The scene settings great. The action at the end made for a great horror read.
Just finished VOODOO SUN and what a cracking read. The new book takes you on a wild journey and is not for the faint hearted, I couldn't put it down. Looking forward to the next instalment from this exciting author.
