Balance of humor and angst is perfect here. Sometimes it's painful to see how low is Draco's self-esteem, so "Draco Malfoy Needs a Hug" tag on the work is 100% relevant.

Aprobado justo, le pongo 3 estrellas sólo porque es entretenido. Uffff, esto claramente está escrito por alguien que tiene muchísimo más frescas las películas que los libros (no es algo malo, sólo es un detalle que se nota MUCHO por lo que voy a decir a continuación), pero que ha seguido los libros a la hora de copiar los diálogos y escenas canon. Esto da lugar a divertidísimas (no) contradicciones constantes, como que Draco no sepa lo que es una acromántula o no sepa que sí combatieron al lado de Voldemort, o que Dumbledore se niegue a cumplir al final del libro una amenaza que no ha hecho porque la situación en la que la hizo jamás se produjo.
Mi sensación general con este fic es que su fama viene "heredada" del fandom gringo, que les flipa (tenemos que dejar de fliparnos por las cutradas que les gustan a los gringos), pero en realidad quien lo escribió no sabe manejar muy bien las escasas escenas totalmente propias y su estilo es tan pobre como el de la propia Rowling. Sin embargo, esto es lo que hace que ambas partes "casen" bien. Hay ratos en los que parece que pilla el ritmo, sobre todo en las interacciones entre Draco, Ron y Harry, pero luego otros donde lo pierde totalmente. En este en particular, se carga todo el libro en el final: el clímax de la cámara secreta lo narra LITERALMENTE como si Draco estuviera mirando al suelo. Ni siquiera se le ocurrió que hay un punto en el que el basilisco pierde los ojos y no es peligroso mirarlo. Por no hablar de que Ron y él están ahí por estar. Sin más. Vamos, no me fastidies, pudiste hacer una escena de acción chulísima con los tres, sin varitas, sólo supervivencia. Ya van dos clímax que me escamotea sólo porque da por hecho que me sirve el del libro original que no estoy leyendo, sin darse cuenta de que, por muchas similitudes que tenga, no está contando la historia de Harry Potter, sino de Draco Malfoy. Y que Draco Malfoy cerrando lo sojos o desmayándose no proporciona información y es un fiasco.
En fin, sí hay cosas buenas: la tensión entre Draco y Harry, los vaivenes de Draco y Hermione, el misterio (que espero que se resuelva más adelante, porque pinta a un muy buen foreshadowing) del hechizo rastreador, la escena de Navidad con la multijugos, la inclusión de Luna desde tan pronto...

Draco is wonderful character. His friendship with Hermione & Ron & Dobby & Hagrid is lovely to see. Draco’s & Harry relationship continues to be more complex one, it doesn't help that Harry has a crush on Draco that Draco doesn't notice since he has a worryingly low self esteem.

I don't know why I kept thinking you were guilty. It seems so obvious now it wasn't you. I just always feel so off-balance around you, like I can't trust myself. My brain doesn't work. Me he enganchado, sí, ahora tengo la necesidad y la emoción para leerme los siguientes.
Tengo que decir, que al principio fue algo pesadito que Harry y Ron (incluso una vez Hermione) desconfiaran de Draco después de todo lo que ya habían pasado juntos. Pero claro, después de la tormenta viene un arcoiris, Harry y Ron se dieron cuentas de sus errores y se disculparon, lo que ha llevado a una linda y cercana amistad, que me hizo de verdad muy muy feliz.
Por fiin, por fiin la relación entre Harry y Draco va avanzado y esto es lo que me mantiene picada y emocionada y por esa razón no puedo esperar más a leer el tercero.
Y por último, Draco, Draco es la cosa más adorable que he visto 😢❤, la forma en que ama y aprecia a su padrino, la forma en que ayudó a Neville, la forma en que quería acercarse a Luna, la forma en que quería salvar a Hermione, la forma en que se hizo cercano a Hagrid, todas estas acciones nos hace ver que Draco es una masita de amor 😭❤.
Yo solo quiero que Draco sea feliz y ya no sufra.

Algo que me di cuenta, es que hay muchas escenas en donde Draco vuelve a ser un niño de verdad, y eso te llena el corazón.
Fue muy lindo volver a leer esta historia.
Resumen

- Harry y Draco tienen un momento juntos en el armario evanecente (Harry terminó ahí por error al usar los polvos flu)
- Aunque Harry es muy obsesionado con Draco, en este libro es insoportablemente desconfiado hacia Draco, creyendo que él es el heredero de Slytherin.
- En el campeonato de Slytherin vs Griffindors ganó Draco atrapando la Snitch, sin embargo ahora es él quien tiene la pierna rota y tiene el inofortuno destino de que Lockhart vuelva su pierna flacida jajajaja.
- Aunque el libro te Tom fue destruido, evitando el destino de Ginny, una hoja sobrevivió, y esta terminó con Luna terminando así siendo ella quien abriera la camara.
- El favoritismo de Dumbledore hizo lo suyo, 200 puntos para Harry y otros 200 puntos para Ron. Jajajaja

THESE BOOKS ARE MY CANON HP BOOKS

Sooo many little changes and the effects were amazing! Draco is thriving without Lucious' poison in his ear. And he's basically saving the golden trio so much time! I'm also actively seeing him fall for Potter and vice versa! It's so cute.
Other wonderful and amazing things I have to list include;
1. Ron and Draco bonding over sarcasm and banter
2. Hermione and Draco bonding over school work, transfigured charms and her birthday bracelet.
3. Draco actively loving Severus and discovering Lockhart's crush
4. The very cute Christmas Draco sort of planned with Severus and the other five slytherin boys.
5. The outside view of how heroic Potter seems. I mean fighting a basilisk at 12 was kind of crazy. In canon we kind of brush past that and onto the next adventure. But from Draco's pov, you can really appreciate how much Harry just charged into these situations selflessly.
6. Ron and Draco being a part of the conversation with Tom Riddle and interrupting his monologue with funny quips.
7. Hagrid and Draco's friendship. Each time he calls him little dragon. When Draco gave him Imoogi to keep him company🫠
Although Draco has really REALLY low self-esteem. I felt bad when he kept blaming himself when the trio abandoned him. He just doubts himself so much. Also he has this huge inferiority complex that I'm hoping will go away in third year once hormones kick in. I bet with all the practice he's been doing he could beat Harry as seeker! With Severus, Hagrid, Hermione and Ron all loving him and building him up, I hope he comes to see himself in a better way. Also, I hope in 4th year that Potter asks Draco to the ball.
So far this series is REALLY GOOD!!!!! I can't wait to see how third year turns out! Do you think Draco will actually kill Peter Pettigrew?

Draco's reliving of the past continues with his second year at Hogwarts!
I love how the events are similar enough to the canon books that you can recognize them, but different enough that Draco's attempt to not change the past might just result in a butterfly effect of killing himself and others. It keeps me on my toes.
I also love how Draco is an awesome character, but his opinion of himself is definitely not such.

Draco’s narrative of the plot is absolutely hilarious.
Everything was perfect, from character dynamic to plot.
While the later books in the series can get really cringey at times this was absolutely delightful. You can FEEL the slow burn take place (really REALLY slowly).

Not as good as the first book. more a 2.5
It was hard to reconcile Draco being 19? but acting 12. Harry also seemed to act beyond his age with all the face touching and implied sexual tension, which was a bit squicky considering Dracos real age.
Overall didn't really enjoy this one.

Easily 4★. There were many chapters where my comment was basically, "This chapter was terrific!" One of the other reviews pointed out a couple issues that I honestly read right past (Well, except for the admittedly somewhat anticlimactic narration of the climax, but it was quite character-plausible) because I was enjoying poor Draco's PoV so much — and haven't read the books in ages myself.
There are many humorous lines, not least because neither Draco nor Harry really has a clue about their obvious-to-readers reluctant mutual~unrequited crushes (N.b., I feel like I need different Romance shelves for "but they're still just kids" — yes, Draco has lived teenage years, but he's clearly affected by the body he's living in), and some due to his continued ignorance of what the Golden Trio actually did in the original timeline.
There are also many suspenseful points where readers don't know what direction the author is going to take events, with the answer being a good mix of changed and unchanged (the puzzle about the diary — or not — has a brilliant reveal), but throughout we keep feeling sympathy for what Draco's going through.
He's torn between *trying* to maintain the course of events he remembers, in order to preserve whatever leads to the hated Dark Lord's defeat, and protecting Muggleborn Hermione in particular, one of the few people he cares about and respects — well, except for her continued admiration for Gilderoy the Useless. There's even a sweet bit re. his wish that cheerful Hagrid not have to endure Azkaban even for a short while, as he himself did.
He has zero self-esteem (especially compared to his resentful high opinion of Harry's destined success-at-everything) and for a large portion of events, zero true friends, certainly no one he can can fully confide in — even if the time-travel geas permitted him to speak. The other Slytherins shift between scorning him, fearing him, and admiring him for something he repeatedly and honestly denies (no thanks to his father for perpetuating the rumor).
Dobby shows back up eventually, with his exaggerated faith in both Draco and Harry, in both his absence and his presence providing excellent twists, but there's a rift between Draco and his role-model godfather. The other character given an intriguing role, I can't speak of for spoilers, but I look forward to where the development in the climax & dénouement takes them.

I never thought I would spend my last 3 days completely submerged in a draco malfoy fanfic in 2022 but here we are.
I've had my fair share of Malfoy fangirling in the past (but that was mostly directed at my crush on Lauren Lopez and her depiction of Malfoy in the Harry Potter Musical) but I dont think I've ever actually read a fanfic dedicated for Draco before.
This ofc all changed when I saw the Mirror of Ecidyrue series on a friend's page when I was stalking her recently reads and decided to read the first chapter out of curiosity.
and I. WAS. HOOKED.
The story was really original and creative, the characters were fresh but still managed to act semi-canon and even though I was a little bit weirded out by the mental age difference (especially clear in the first book), I was told that that would be fixed in the later books and surely it was.
You can clearly tell that the author really cares about her characters and the world that she's building and that love shines through in the entire character arc (which I guess qualifies for a redemption arc?) of Draco
Overall I really liked it, 4 stars instead of 5 because some of Harry's lines were a bit uncharacteristic and I would've enjoyed a less cliché approach to his feelings for Draco. But I cant wait to read the next book

(4.8/5 stars) I loved this part 2 of The Mirror of Ecidyrue fanfic six book series. All it takes is one look in a mirror and an ill-advised attempt to shatter it, before an embittered, out-of-the-closet Draco Malfoy fresh out of Azkaban is sent back into his body on the day he gets his Hogwarts letter.
Draco Malfoy never asked for a second chance, nor did he particularly want one. But he found himself in his old body at eleven, and after a year at Hogwarts, he has a plan for the year before him: keep to himself, find Dobby, improve relations with fellow Slyther-ins to cordial but distant, get over this stupid obsession with Harry Potter, and no more jokes about controlling a Malfoy mountain troll. No one else thinks they're funny.
And no more cursing.
I read this within two days, it's been a while since I was this invested in a fic! Needless to say I LOVED this and I can't wait to read the rest!

Me encanto! Incluso más que el primero, amo esta versión de Draco y Harry, la tensión que se cargan a pesar de que apenas tienen 12 años, es una tensión bien creada y descrita, porque sabes que tiene sentimientos por el otro pero ninguno de los dos cree que el otro le corresponde, es tan hilarante.
Corroboro lo antes dicho, esto es mi nuevo cannon, sin duda alguna, me fascina.
Tengo que admitir que me tomo algo de tiempo terminar este libro, dado que me desesperaba mucho que Harry y arón no creyeran en Draco y que este se la pasara solo todo el tiempo, pero después de que Hermione fue petrificada, todo tomo rumbo, Harry consolando a Draco, y por fin creyendo en el, es una de las cosas más bonitas.
Sin duda, seguiré leyendo sin detenerme.

so uhm... here i am again i guess. i would like for everyone to look away from this review as i don't need you to know i'm reading some drarry fanfic. i actually started this a few months back, but i only picked it up again now and i really missed it.
i really wanted to read something so slow burn in terms of romance that it felt like a fic, but i wasn't finding any book that was exactly what i wanted and i remembered this existed, so here i am again!
i really love these fics, i love to see all the differences from the original timeline and some other nice details; by far my favorite things are definitely draco's relationships, i just love all the friends he has now and how these friendships are all developing!!
i will be reading more

The first one made me forget how dark things could go and like The chamber of secrets, book 2 is full of very good moments that usually we wouldn’t say are the most popular. Draco is more and more authentic & I love reading a friendship with him and Hermione or even his reluctant appreciation for Ron, his second favorite Weasley.
Kids are being kids, Harry is the cutest most clueless but Gryffindor brave & LUNA 💙
Draco needs a hug here but there are lots of nice snarky moments for the win too.

Honestly... I started this one and completely forgot about it for a long time. Coming back to it, it was an enjoyable read. I did see Draco's behaviour as too childish based on the plot and his experiences, but it had enough angst, story + character development, sweet and sad moments that it had me hooked. I also think it's fitting that he's behaving this way, as he never had a chance to experience all these things before.
I squealed and laughed and enjoyed the read, and I look forward to continue to see his growth throughout the next stories.

2nd year told from Draco’s POV
18yo Draco sent back in time to his 12yo body. It was hilarious and charming.
I’ll leave you with a quote:
“No, do you fancy Cedric Diggory?" Ron persisted. Both he and Harry leaned in, all ears.
"I don't know, maybe," Draco deadpanned. "I am a big fan of the way he straddles a broomstick."
Harry and Hermione blinked at him guilelessly. "You mean that he's a good Seeker?" Hermione asked, while Ron had to cover his mouth from wheezing, he was laughing so hard.

Ya pero ver todo desde la perspectiva de draco es muy inexplicable, los sentimientos encontrados que tengo por el pobre tratando de no arruinar el futuro y eso causándole severos ataques de pánico, mientras su familia es un asco, y al mismo tiempo su relación con su padrino y nuevas amistades.

Dioses, me encantó, la amistad entre los niños es tan hermosaaa, Draco y Ron se complementan tanto, basta, los adoro. Y ni hablar de lo evidentemente gay que Harry actúa alrededor de Draco, esa charla tras beber multijugos es too much para mi emocionado corazón. En fin, aunque hay cosas que no terminan de convencerme, como ese fallo en el hechizo de rastreo, me gustó mucho ✨

I loved this! Reading the chamber of secrets with the twists and different perspective. The only thing I didn’t love was the explanation of the journal…(not trying to have any spoilers here but if you read it, you’ll know what I mean). I’m loving the slow burn of Drarry right now and I want more!!!!!

This one was my least favorite, simply bc harry and ron were just so damn stubborn and suspicious lol. But i guess it makes sense cause draco was rlly sus as well.
Either way i loved it! My favourite scene was polyjuiced harry in draco’s dorm lmaooo hilarious. Poor draco was so alone in this book. Also lockhart being in love with snape??? It just genius??? Hahahahah.

Draco is slowly coming to terms with his new chance and new.. friends?
The tension between Draco and Harry is just exquisite, still innocent (well, they are 12), but it lays a fantastic groundwork for the delicious UST in the years to come.. Can't wait!!!!!
