After they were released from prison, three ex-convicts started a business together. Chief, Bird and Tiger started their own farm, where they work hard to achieve their goals in life. One thing none of them expected is to find love along the way. One day Bird’s brother, Leo visited them and guess what, he also found love…with a little twist.
This is Leo's story
Leo All I want to do is forget a woman, who used me, cheated on me, and left me feeling half the man I used to be. So I came to the Farm visit my brother, Bird, to have a man-to-man talk. One day I see Liz, the most beautiful and intelligent woman I’ve ever come across. Somehow, she seems to like me too. Then I make the silliest mistake ever, because I’m… …a little bit tipsy.
Liz I only have one goal, to be the successful vet. I’m passionate about horses. The Farm has given me the opportunity to get the experience I need and spend some precious time with my favorite animal. I didn’t expect to meet this mysterious man—a man who would intrigue me with his cryptic past and charm me with his gentle manner. But it’s OK; I don’t have to worry. I’m perfectly capable of working alongside this man. Let’s just hope he screws up somehow.
LEO is the 5th standalone short romance read in the Wild Eagle Alphas series. All books can be enjoyed separately, but the stories are interconnected. This insta love romance short story features an ex-convict alpha male and a curvy woman he never thought he would find. It’s the perfect short romance read if you love a protective bad boy (who is not so bad at all) and his curvy beauty love, this is the perfect short reads romance for you!
Leo is Bird’s brother. He is convinced nobody would love him because he is an ex-con. Liz is a curvy girl who is training to be a vet. At the beginning, she was a little worried about working on a farm run by ex-cons. However, once there, she realizes that the saying “Don’t judge the book by its cover.” is totally true. Both characters are well-developed. We can see their insecurities and fears to be rejected. Fortunately for them, love changes that, making them stronger and secure when they are together. I liked the end of the book; it puts a smile on my face. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love the idea behind this book - a bunch of ex-cons getting their lives together and running a farm. It's awesome. Wonderful. Great. When you add the very poorly written and too many to overlook punctuation and grammar problems, this book drops the ball. If the author had just invested in an editor, or at least run I through an online free grammar/spell checker it would have been so much better. I wanted to drop it halfway through, but kept on pushing because I'm not a quitter. In the end, I would have preferred to add this to my 'dnf' pile.
This is Leo's and Liz story. I enjoyed reading their journey to their happily ever after. Leo is taking time getting to know Liz. Their connection is sweet and when Liz finally gives him a try the sparks fly. Another great book in this series, this is book five. Looking to see who is next to fall.
Leo and Liz are so great together and even though they each have pasts they are getting a chance at love. Liz is studying to be a Vet and Leo is visiting his brother's ranch. I like that their love grows and they instantly connect together. This is a quick read with well developed characters and a great ending. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This is sweet and at times sad story which held my interest. I enjoyed getting to know Leo and Liz, seeing them work through their personal issues and taking the time to get to know each other before entering into a relationship. It was also nice to catch up with everyone else on the Farm and see how they were doing.
