Lucy Langton was born in Boston but currently lives in Maine with her husband and their beautiful twin daughters.
She has a PhD in English literature from Columbia University. Her field of expertise was 19th-century British novel. After college, she went backpacking in Europe where she met her husband. It was love at first sight!
Lucy knew she wanted to be a writer ever since she was a little girl, writing stories from different eras to read to her little brother. Her first story felt like a dream come true.
When she’s not writing, she enjoys painting, eating pizza and baking… not necessarily in that order! She also identifies herself as the biggest Jane Austen fan!

❄️❄️ONE IMPASSIONED TREAT❄️❄️ Brilliant! Lucy brought all the charm, desire, passion and heartfelt hope, spinning this refreshing delight with 100% on point realism, bringing this baby to heel, wrapping this jewel up sleek, shiny and tight. Combined, entwined and tightly bound, baring the soaring ups and agonizing downs, impressive in it's simplicity and eloquent in it's depth, putting our characters through their paces, kicking this baby to a whole new level. Tiptoeing through a minefield of daring drama, hidden agendas, unveiled revelations, mystifying intrigue, chilling danger and spiraling suspense, maneuvering through the cunning manipulations of selfish actions and deceptive intents, blasting this jewel to life spectacularly. Disadvantages are heightened and exploited, laying out all the fervent facts, feels and fiascos, igniting fierce determination with such intensity and vigor, shifting this jewel into overdrive, kicking into a frenzy with a mind-blowing realization. The magnetism, attraction and chemistry collides with such intensity, unmasking deep emotions, drawing our characters closer, binding them to one another beautifully. The characters are complex and genuine with traits and qualities that add depth and diversity, transforming into charismatic personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions that feel as though you were transported to ground zero with them. Remarkable job Lucy, thanks for sharing this lil' fella with us.
Lucy Langton has written a wonderful story about a young debutante Marta who is sent from Austria to England to her Aunt for the season. Her Aunt takes her matchmaking seriously and sets her up with a horrible Duke Lord Redington. Marta meets Baldwin and the two of them face the twist and turns that face them in going against her aunt and a Duke who has the ear of the Prince regent. This book has great characters and it pulls you in. The world building is really good! I recommend it for all the historical romance readers out there. This is a good one 👍
What will she do in the end? A lady in a bit of trouble is sent off to the land of her mother’s birth to her Aunt Margaret. Now, Aunt Margaret believes that she knows best and pushes for a relationship between Marta and Lewis Remington yet her eye is on the dashing businessman Baldwin Terrence. This book has so much in it blackmail, secrets, heartache, fear, romance, and love now talk about a wild ride the author takes her readers on. This was an excellent read! High praise and I highly recommend it.
This is another wonderfully gripping story from the pen of Ms Langton. The plot has some great characters who are portrayed brilliantly. The extended epilogue is a must read that completes the characters story's brilliantly. This is a book that would suit anyone who loves steamy historical romances that have plenty of twists and turns. I read an ARC copy
She is a strong feisty woman who is caught in something naughty. Especially for them times. Her mother catches her and sends her to her aunt in another country. So bye to those two men. Then her aunt decides who she is going to marry. And she doesn't want him as she meets another quiet, good looking man. The one her aunt wants her t o marry is a nasty man. How does it work out? Can she temper her personality to match the quiet one? I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
This was a fast-paced, swoon-worthy read, that I found I did not want to put down! The story was original and exciting with characters that were realistic and likable. It is everything you could want in a delightful stroll through the pages of a historical romance and more!
*I received a complimentary ARC of this book in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.
I loved how the Austrian culture was somehow incorporated into the English practices. I loved how Laura and Marta were such a force that shook English society. I found it amusing that given their efforts to try to uphold English standards, it actually brought more of their Austrian side. Their love stories were so intricate, so different and similar at the same time. I
A Lady's touch of Sin A Historical Regency Romance Book
A very good and enjoyable story about love and family and friends.Marta was sent to England from Austria by her mother .Marta and Laura her hand maiden found love with Baldwin and Ewan but there were twists and turns to overcome but love and happiness was won.The characters are realistic and determined and the extended epilogue was a very good completion of the story
A Lady's Touch of Sin is a fun Regency Romance from Lucy Langton. I love the characters in this story. They are so strong and carry the reader right back to the grand Regency era. It's fun to visit other times and Lucy's stories always succeed with the details and emotions.
I received an advanced copy of this story from the author without expectation of a favorable review. The opinions expressed are my own.
This was a delightful book. I enjoyed all of the characters. Marta and Laura being from Austria made the story interesting. The many twist and turns in the characters relationships was challenging. Aunt Margaret and the Duke were scandalous. Glad poor Ewan finally found love and that Baldwin finally got Marta. The extended episode was great too. This was the best historical romance I've read lately.
It took awhile to understand the story line. At first I was not going to finish the book but I keep reading and finally got to the end. To come from a foreign country to meet and fall in love get married and have your children speak german and english. To over come many difficulty situation to find happiness.
I really liked the entire story. It was a little dull in the first third in just developing the characters. From there on it was a true page turner. Scandalous vilian, their desire, love and X rated passion. The flawed family and growth of acceptance. The happily ever after ending.
Thinking herself in love her mother ships her daughter off to her sister in England to "meet the right kind of man ". Unfortunately her definition of right is not in accord with her aunt's. With just her lady's maid for support and a touch of a language barrier things develop at a strange pace. I enjoyed the story very much.
A story of a girl recovering from a broken heart and difficult circumstances. Arriving in a new country developing new friendships/relationships both positive and negative. Well written fast pace could not put it down.
Really loved the story and they stayed true. Aunt finally learned and changed for the better. Duke got what he deserved. Extended epilogue helped to Show how all their lives developed.
The characters are do well written that you can imagine them as you read down to the facial expressions. The story maintained my interest and actually reminded me of how we must fight for the life we want.
An interesting story talking about the rules of manners and how single people should act and behave. Very interesting times in our country. The status of a person can allow themselves many privileges.
I liked the book and the characters. I was confused because the synopsis on Amazon said Henry was the heir to a ducal estate. The servants called him lord a name used for men of the nobility, but the book never addressed this.
A very enjoyable story with strong likable characters. I always enjoy reading books by Ms. Langton. Her stories captivate me. Marta and Laura find themselves with very difficult situations that they must find solutions to.
Marta couldn't believe that her mother was sending her to England to become a proper English lady and to marry a member of the ton. So read and see how her life is changed with all the ups and downs that come with being a lady.
Marta and Baldwin were so much in love and had to sneak around since Aunt Margaret chose Duke Lewis for Marta. Marta didn’t even like him and his stench. Very good book
This is a sweet regency romance with a touch of passion Included. Our Austrian heroine is being forced upon an English Duke she has no desire to marry, while she actually falls in love with a friend of the family. Of course they must work through their relationship so that they might finally marry. I would highly recommend this story to others interested in the Regency Period and the traditions of that era.
