Kenna Kendrick is not afraid to write a story that is heart rendering and heart stopping as a pampered Gale flees from her hime and finds herself under the protection of a brawny highlander Errol who shows her there is a different side of life. Soooo many emotions swirl through you as you read Highlander's Cursed Heiress. It's a story that comes to life filled with tension-building twist, a story filled with characters that come off the pages and pulls you into their tale, that is smoothly written, with a excellent plott, great dialogue and with scenes are so strikingly detailed that it paints an incredible backdrop that makes you feel like you are one with the story which brings this read together perfectly. But Gale keeps Errol on his toes trying to keep up with her, realizing just how exasperating a job that is, and trying to keep her safe from those hiding in the shadows waiting to do harm to Gale. As Gale searches her heart for the answers to the conflicts inside of her she must battle their rising passions in this heartfelt story that unfolds beautifully with drama, sizzling passion, uncertainties, chaos, angst, trials and tribulations, and while the suspense builds and tensions This book will hold your attention to the fullest. Remarkable emotions, and unforgettable characters.

Although this book did not have as much "steam" as I like, it was very enjoyable and easy to read. You have a very spoiled heroine that learns that maybe a privileged life is not all that it is cracked up to be. And a wonderful hero that understands "his lady" and is willing to let things play out until both come to the understanding that maybe they should be together. There wasn't a lot of drama in this book except for a rejected woman who is out to ruin any relationship between our hero and heroine. I always enjoy reading the follow-up novella that comes after all of Ms. Kendrick's novels. You find out what life is like for our main characters many years after the end of the primary novel. Also, this follow-up makes you want to learn more and read about the generations that are introduced. I gave this book 5 stars, because there's not much about a brawny faithful and wonderful Highlander that is not to like and a heroine that learns what true happiness is.

When her mom kills her father with the help of her doctor Gale flees when the doctor finds out Gale will inherit everything and tries to seduce her. She decides to go to the highlands to her friend Rose for help. Once there Else's husband gets Errol. He helps hide her. They have some ups and downs getting to know each other but they both fall in love with each other, but a bitter girl and an upper class uncle try to keep them apart. Grab the book to read all about it! I loved it!

She was thought to be difficult to be with.....But No one Ever Bothered to Care Enough or Listen.
Gale is on the run from her mother after her father has been poisoned....she has to get away to Rosalie somehow. She braves the elements and wolves to be safe. Little did she know that Rosalie would not be the one to protect her after they pawned her off on Errol to take her to Skye. More adventures are in store for this "Lady" on hiding. She's supposed to earn her keep but she's never had to work a day in her life. Definitely challenging times ahead as well as softening of anger when someone cares. People can change for better with listening and care.

Finding your place
The start was quite tragic. It’s positively evil when a person takes advantage of the weakened conditions of others to set about a series of unforgivable events. The entire thing was such a humbling reminder. While I found it really amusing to see a pampered, spoiled princess quickly brought down to earth, I loved the reminder to the simple things in life and sometimes, happiness is a leap of faith. I loved Fiona’s mother’s words about how the best of things are usually after the bad and the bad is actually a preparation for the good.

Gale and Errol's Beautiful love story

Once again a strong heroine who bucks societal pressures to follow her heart. Errol is an absolute sweetheart who gives Gale the freedom to be herself. This book made me both laugh and cry, I wasn't sure if there could be a follow on but having read the extended epilogue I can see the start of the next adventure. Loved it

Loved this story Gale had such a hard childhood and escaping it she met Errol who agreed to hide her and these two people from such different backgrounds Got to know each other and fell in love but then His childhood friend and her past comes To haunt them

Lots of ups and downs in this Highland tale. You might need to keep your tissues handy. Gale and Errol come from different walks of life. Can he keep her safe from her enemies as their relationship grows? This story is filled with mystery, suspense, betrayal, adventure, uncertainty and romance with wonderful characters who invite you to follow along on their journey to love. A great read.

The characters were likable and believable. The romance was sweet and I loved reading this story. I really love reading this author. Her characters and their interactions feel genuine and her stories have so much history of the land, people, and their beliefs and say of life.

An excellent series
This is the second in the series but hopefully not the last. It was a great read with adventure, romance, and characters. The storyline flowed and is a page turned. I am looking forward to Emma's story

I felt sorry for Errol, Gail is just a spoiled English girl and even though she has survived running away from home to the Scottish highlands, she treats him badly, like the best she is.I

Well written historical novel, that takes place in Scotland which I started reading 10-21-2020 and finished at 0530 10-22-2020. It flows well, was fast paced, had intrigue, evil, death, sex all this produced a great read. Enjoyed

Poorly written. A 6th grader could do better. The characters are one dimensional. The plot is nonexistent. I quit at 15% after finding close to 2 dozen typos & misspellings. If the author is too cheap to hire a real editor, then she doesn't deserve to sell a book.

Unlikely romance
A lady runs away from home after her father dies. She had been raised to be a prim and proper lady. I liked that she found out it was more fun to be herself. There is adventure and romance. A few love scenes you may or may not want to skip. I prefer romances with happy endings. You'll have to read to see if this has one.

Wow, once again she has written another page turner. It was hard to put down. The story was full of mystery,twists, intrigue and romance with a twist ending. A must read for all.

Life does not always make sense. Sometimes you need to learn things about yourself that you never knew. Great love story and I am sure you will love it too! Another great read by Kenna!
