Once in a while, when a story comes to a close, it’s not The End, but instead, a new beginning.
Kenzie and Jarrett Holliday are happy with their life. They have great friends, successful businesses, and reside in a town they adore. As decades long best friends, their love can’t be measured by words; its pure, deep, and unwavering, weathering any storm that crosses their path. What more could they ask for?
They didn’t know anything was missing from their lives until she breezed through the door like a breath of fresh air.
Ripley Owens wasn't looking for anything more than a fresh start when she moved to the quaint, progressive town of Bijou Basin. She never dreamed that she would start a new relationship and certainly not that she'd be dating a married couple!
This wasn’t what the trio expected, but it was what they all needed. Sometimes there is no such thing as a third wheel, instead it's the triangle that provides a greater balance.
Authors Note: This erotic romance features adult themes and language. Themes include: graphic sex, BDSM, Polyamory & LGBTQ+ Characters. It is set directly after the events of Natural Exposure. While it could be read on it's own, it's not meant to be, the events of book 1 directly affect this one.
Koriana Brackson grew up surrounded by orange groves in Central Florida, calling Walt Disney World her personal playground. As former cast member and an amateur photographer, she couldn't resist combining two of her interests, and her experiences weave through her stories.
Now she makes her home in a quiet small town in Western North Carolina with her Husband. An avid reader all of her life, Koriana was thrilled, and a bit shocked, to publish her debut novel in April 2020 and is looking forward to continuing the series in the coming months.
So very sensual and hot. The triad is still strengthening their bond. Bilou is a quirky town, sort of like Bliss, accepting of all aspects and kinks. The descriptions of the Orlando parks and other features further support the growth.
This is book two of the Bijou Basin series, I have to say I really enjoyed it. The world building is amazing, I love that I'm able to picture everything going on, world building is so important to me. I just love this little town and wish that it was really real, I'd be heading there now to explore. Throughout the book there was a lot of places that I'm familiar with, so see familiar names made it even more realistic to me. You can tell a lot of though really went into the book, the author did really well with the details.
So, this book takes place after book one, in this one we get to really get to know Jarrett, Kenzie and Ripley and see the relationship evolving a bit more, we can see a little bit of the dynamic between the three of them through the viewpoint of Kenzie. It'll be nice to see where they go from book two on with their lives.
I'm looking forward to book three and continuing to watch this new author grow with her writing and following the town and the people in the town that I've come to love.
This story is a great followup to book 1, natural exposure. The development of the triad (polyam) relationships is really great. The drama of acceptance (or lack of it) is well handled. And there’s balance between the sexual and emotional relationship development making this a FFM romance first and foremost, with just the right level of erotic action included.
This book had more of a plot than the first one and I enjoyed seeing a broader world outside of just the three main characters. Speaking of which, Jarrett felt like more of a main character this time and he seemed more likable in this novel. I loved seeing into the lives of Kenzie's friends and getting more of Felicity and her guys. (Felicity is still my favorite. She's awesome.) I love the extended cast of friends and town folks. It makes the fictional setting come to life and feel like a place you could hope in your car and drive to.
I liked how this story developed more emotionally than I thought it would. For a moment I thought Ripley was going to break up with them during on part. Which would've broken my heart. I'm glad they stayed together. I'll definitely be reading the next book in this series.

I was so excited to return to Bijou Basin. It's such an idyllic corner of the world. I really wish I could visit Kenzie's studio, and share a meal with the intriguing trio of Kenzie, Jarrett, and Ripley. Brackson continues to impress with her powers of imagery, transporting the reader through the pages right into the midst of the story. I love Kenzie as a narrator, and watching the trio's relationship evolve had me reluctant to put down the book once I started. Of course, it's not all sunshine, roses, and sexy times, but everything is realistic and handed beautifully. There are no over-the-top dramatics, and everything is portrayed well. Looking forward to book three!
Book 2 is, in my opinion, better than Book 1 as it goes all over the place. There's highs and lows and everything in between. There's a part that still makes me tear up every time. You should have seen me writing it. :D
Read these books! You'll enjoy 'em! :)
Book 3 to come hopefully in the next few months...
