Sexy Scrooge by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward The last thing I needed was to share an Uber with Scrooge—a cocky lawyer on a snowy Christmas Eve. It was bad enough I was on my way to court for the gift of eviction. Although maybe today wouldn’t turn out so bad after all. The Sexy Scrooge and I started to connect as we trudged our way through a storm. Our ride was about to end. But would I ever see him again?
Big Baubles by Jodi Ellen Malpas Shannon’s last-minute Christmas shopping trip quickly goes from tedious to thrilling when she meets a sexy stranger in Harrods. He’s irresistibly cheeky, hot as sin, and he seems to want to play. So when he sets Shannon the challenge of completing her Christmas shopping before he completes his, she can’t help but accept. And she plans on winning. But the sexy stranger plays dirty on the shop floor. And even dirtier in the women’s changing rooms...
The Naughty List by Emma Chase Evie Sanders has a secret. She’s in love with her boss, Jace Winters, the hot as hell, hardworking owner of the best bar in the snowy, ski resort town of Alpine. She thinks Jace barely knows she exists—that to him, she’s just an employee. But at this year’s Christmas party, bells get jingled, stockings get stuffed, snow—and other things—get thoroughly plowed, and Christmas wishes (even the naughty ones) just might come true.
Joyous—A Quantum Christmas by Marie Force After a remarkable year that included a wedding and a big Oscar win for Quantum Productions, Hollywood superstar Flynn Godfrey wants to give his wife, Natalie, and closest friends a Christmas they will never forget. But when best-laid plans go awry, Flynn will learn that sometimes the season’s greatest gifts are those that can’t be bought or wrapped.
A Holiday Lift by Corinne Michaels Holly has had enough pain around the holidays to last her lifetime. All she wants is to focus on her work. All of that becomes impossible when she’s stuck in the elevator with her co-worker Dean. She can’t avoid his intense stares, deep voice, and scent that drives her crazy. Will the holiday season bring them an unexpected lift or will they come crashing down?
Best Christmas Ever by Susan Stoker When Chris and Sienna meet during an accident in Texas, the perfect strangers soon discover they’re inexplicably linked...in more ways than one. Coincidence? Perhaps. Or maybe the makings of their very own Christmas miracle.

That was so much fun. I can’t believe how fast it flew by. This was one of those books where I didn’t realize how far I’d come until I was suddenly at the end already. Filled with sweet holiday stories that were sometimes silly and a whole lot spicy, this book was exactly what I was in the mood for. A couple of the stories are part of larger worlds that their authors have created, but they still stood alone quite well. And since these are series I haven’t previously read, I see some manic page flipping in my future.
I think this is the first time I have read a collection of short stories. I have never really been compelled to read one since I’m much more into full novels with its depth and intense complications. However I got to admit that it was kind of nice and relaxing to just read short stories for once. I didn’t need to invest much to the stories and most of them pretty much cut straight to the chase.
Sexy Scrooge: I think Sexy Scrooge was one of my favorites. It was funny, goofy and weirdly unique. It’s the first time a romance starts off with someone accidentally sitting on a stranger’s lap in an Uber. The story almost only is the Uber ride, but no more than that was really necessary. Their first time meeting and the fast developing relationship was very compelling and worked perfectly with both the writing style and as a short story. An intriguing start and a heartwarming ending to a perfect Christmas romance.
Christmas Baubles: Just like the first story Christmas Baubles had its own very special charm and originality. I could immediately connect with the characters. I was especially appalled for Shannon having to be taken advantage of in such a degrading manner from both her boss and her boss’s wife. The shopping competition with sexy as F put some lightness to the so far unjust beginning. It was very amusing and I could literally see sparks flying between them. Of course it only got better from there with a happy and toe curling ending. A+!
The Naughty List: This short story was for sure the best one. I can’t really tell you why it was, but it just really agreed with my sensibilities. There were strong and defining personalities that complemented each other well. All from quiet and brooding, but caring Jace to quirky risk taker Evie. There were drama, scary revelations, steam and hot romance. Now that I think about it, the reason why this story spoke to me was probably because it managed such level of complexity and high building climax for being so short. Third time really was a charm.
Joyous; A Quantum Christmas: Sadly, fourth time was not a charm. This story didn’t do it for me. At all. In part because it was an installment from a series I have not read, which meant that I’ve missed key moments from previous books, so I wasn’t welcomed into the world and characters lives properly. Every revelation, relationship and plot development had already happened so there were no intrigue in it. In part I also was not into the writing. It was too ... chipper? Everyone in the Quantum family had someone and were over the moon in love. Everyone loved everyone like a family (with one exception) and everything was perfect for everyone. It was just so unrealistically sappy with declarations and explanations of how well everything had worked out and how much they cared for each other. Maybe this kind of writing is a turn on for some readers, but it is nothing but a huge turn off for me.
A Holiday Lift: A Holiday Lift was neither here nor there. Meaning it was alright. I wasn’t in love with the story, but it wasn’t anything wrong with it either. I just couldn’t get any defining qualities or personality traits from either character, which made me not really that interested in their feelings for each other which they fought against. However the writing was fine and it had a sweet, if slightly corny, ending.
Best Christmas Ever: Last but not least as you say. Not the best in the book, but I still enjoyed it. It had a more serious feel to it, and I liked the intense circumstance they met in. Her being his saving angel and all. It was sweet and very moving. It did not have the depth that I wished for for a more serious story, but at the same time that was forgiving considering it was a short story. I did however have the same problem as with A Holiday lift, with it lacking some more complex personality, but it wasn’t so bad that it ruined the story in any way. A for effort.
As relaxing as it was reading this book, I feel like some of these stories were deserving of being full length novels instead. There was some details that I missed out on, for example I would have loved a resolution to the work problem Shannon had, or see how most relationships worked out. As it was, it left me wanting more, but at the same time isn’t that a good sign that a story is working? Either way, I am happy I gave Naughty or Nice a well deserving chance.
Sexy Scrooge by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward- 4☆ Sexy Scrooge was another cute and funny Christmas novella from Vi and Penelope. I enjoyed the story and as always, wanted even more!
The Naughty List by Emma Chase- 4☆ The Naughty List was a bit intense and emotional. It also had quite a bit of steam. Jace and Evie clearly have chemistry and a strong connection, they just don't realize the extent of how the other feels. I will say that I didn't really love Jace or how he acted some of the time, but he's a good guy despite that.
A Holiday Lift by Corinne Michaels- 4☆ A Holiday Lift had quite a bit to it content wise, it just took me a little bit to feel like I understood where the characters were coming from and their back story. Holly and Dean seem like a good couple who make each other happy, Holly just has to overcome her dislike/fear of Christmas and men letting her down.
I previously wrote a review, I'm not sure what happened.
Sexy Scrooge: Two strangers, Adam and Meredith share an Uber on Christmas Eve. Adorable.
Christmas Baubles: Two strangers, Shannon and Shaun on a shopping bet on Christmas Eve. Loved it.
The Naughty List: Jace finds the naughty list that Evie made, who works for him. She has a huge crush on him, swoony and adorable.
Joyous-A Quantum Christmas: Flynn surprises his wife Natalie with a Christmas vacation with all of their friends and family. I never read the other books.
A Holiday Lift: Dean and Holly are two coworkers trapped in an elevator. Adorable.
Best Christmas Ever: Chris and Sienna meet after Chris gets into a car accident. Both realizing they're connected in more ways then one.
Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Even though snow is no part of the holiday anymore, global warming is real people, I love to sit on my couch in front of a Christmas tree. Sitting there and reading a book, while drinking wine or hot chocolate. That is one of my favorite part of Christmas. That and spending time with family that is. This book is a great one to read during Christmas. I should have waited, but it was great nevertheless. Reading this lets you get to know different writers.
There are a couple of great stories and a couple not so great in this anthology. That's how it is with every anthology though. I do think you will enjoy it though.
I felt like the stories were too short but they were cute, still a nice read. Just not my cup of tea. My favourite one was the uber romance, sounds like a fun hallmark movie potentially.
