When I arrived in Alaska, I thought I signed up for a simple IT job.
I didn’t think I’d have to create a massive magic spell with my funky witchy powers – for a village of sea dragons, no less.
But here I am. Surrounded by my family’s mortal enemies, trying to learn spells most five-year-olds can perform, and getting flustered over guys who turn into mythical beings.
The worst thing: I don’t even mind that much. Because as terrifying as this new world is, these three men make it worthwhile.
With every look, every touch, every kiss, I get more addicted.
Until the moment my old life catches up with me, bringing dangers I never saw coming. Everything I’ve worked to build might shatter with one false move.
Unless I figure out how to be the witch I was meant to be.
Ensnared is a reverse harem paranormal romance, the second book in the Sea Dragons of Amber Bay trilogy. Skye’s story continues in this thrilling sequel. Order your copy today!
3.9 stars. So. This series is both slow, and somehow, also fast. The relationships are moving along quickly, well, most of them are, but the storyline is just now really starting and so is one of the relationships? It’s a weird combo for a trilogy. I expected the story to pick up the pace much more in this second book but nothing really of note happened until the last chapter or so.
I’m still on the fence about this. It’s not my favorite for sure. There’s a lot that’s just a little off about it. I’m not sure I really like the main character so much, and the storyline. I’m not even really sure what the hell it actually is because nothing has happened yet.
I immediately devoured this book because I needed to know what happened after the cliffhanger from Tempted!! And it did not disappoint!! Without giving too much away, this book carried forward the momentum from Tempted and was all sorts of sweet, sexy and erotic! (Rated R for very descriptive romance scenes) Props to Ashwood for writing those erotic scenes, they're written very well! Skye also delves into magic abit more while learning she's not quite the dud her family thought she was. Her male companions learn more about her and vice versa along the way. I was excited for the story and how certain relationships would continue to develop. Safe to say I enjoyed the continuation and how Skye and the guys would navigate everything. 4 ⭐'s! * Favorite character? It's a toss up between Jack and Aiden!
ENSNARED continues Skye's story as she navigates her relationship with Jack, Ty, and Aiden. This was a bumpy ride, in a good way, and I'm dying to see how this will all end in book 3.
Of the three guys, Jack is definitely my favorite because he's just so open and gentle with Skye. That being said, I loved seeing Ty be more vulnerable and take some really big steps toward making things serious. As for Aiden, *sigh* he's not endearing himself to me with some of his boneheaded moves. Skye should be expecting some big apologies in the next book.
This story picks up right where Tempted left off with Skye having the most perfect experience and then it all turned to crap. Jack is unconscious and Ty is furious what is a girl to do? Aiden is being his usual stand off the self. This story had me ensnared from the very beginning with more suspense and drama. Will Aiden finally give into his feelings for Skye? Will Skye finally be a productive member to the magical community? What will happen when the community Skye is starting to settle in to turn on her?
The plot is thickening in book 2! The story continues to have me fully captivated right from the very start all the way to another whopper of an ending!
There is more suspense, more twists and new characters that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride and on an adventure that will capture your heart and leave you begging for more.
And don’t forget that this story also has lots of steamy and intensely erotic moments that will have you fanning yourself and leaving you breathless.
I absolutely loved it and can’t wait for the final book in the series!
A fun and spicy follow-up to the first book. We get to see more of Skye's magic and her relationships with Ty, Jack, and Aiden. There isn't much happening in the plot until the end, but it sets up an exciting confrontation for the third/final book. The relationships are still a bit rushed, but overall its cute and spicy.
Well Skyes been outed for her magic in town and peeps are not happy. Turns out witches and dragons had a fairly big war that wiped out a lot of people from each supernatural community. Witch played dirty in the end and thus the dragons live in hiding especially from witches. Skye is almost like a newbie witch too with sporadic and unpredictable powers. She’s trying her best to learn to harness her abilities but it’s taking time, time it seems she may be out of if the crazed villagers charging the cabin are anything to go by. My biggest complaint here is (aside from Jack) I find the other two guys to be insufferable asshats. Sure one makes amends but the double standards and cruelty towards skye are truly unnecessary. I think it hurts more knowing she’s been outcast and shunned by her family and coven only to have these guys make her feel welcome and then try and rob that sense of safety from her. It’s different for them as they also have each other but Skye is all alone aside from her demonic and wild Pomeranian. Hopefully it won’t be too hard for her to win over the people, save the town and finalize her harem once and for all.
Sé que los libros de esta largura no suelen ser muy descriptivos y desarrollados pero a veces hace falta explicar mejor las cosas, las conexiones con los protagonistas... A ver si el desenlace de esta pequeña trilogía se desenvuelve mejor.
Ensnared by Zoe Ashwood Sea Dragon of Amber Bay #2
The second book in Sea Dragons of Amber Bay series will be Released on the 30/09/2020!
“With each breath, my heartbeat slows. I become aware of the cold winds brushing my cheeks, of Skye’s firm grip on my hands. A bird squawks somewhere in the forest, and I smell the earth damp, rotting leaves beneath our feet. Then I feel her.”
I dived straight in to this book as soon as it landed in my inbox. I just needed to know what happen with the cliffhanger at the end of Tempted. If you have already read it, it’s book one in the Sea Dragons of Amber Bay series and I highly recommend it.
This book once again gives you a POV from all characters in the book, it lets you get inside all their heads. Like in book 1 as well this book continues with the sexy, sweet, romantic and erotic storyline and the chemistry between the characters is again off the charts. We also learn from this book a little more about them all in regards to there paranormal sides.
I absolutely loved it and can’t wait for the final book in the series!
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Ensnared and for that I’m very grateful.
2.5 I couldn't give this three stars because it contained a MAJOR pet peeve of mine. That being a doormat female character. In the first part of the book Ty treats our MFC like total shit. I mean ... If someone behaved that way towards me it might be unforgivable, but then .... She isn't even mad at him? I don't know if I can get past that.. she also is super upset with Aiden, even though he hasn't really done anything wrong. (Just my opinion). Authors need to be careful when creating issues like these. Either you don't have the character be as mean or the other character actually needs to have a spine. An imbalance is created if you're writing is off.

Once upon a time I was looking for fantasy reverse harem books with sweet guys in the harem. I still remember how enthusiast Ashwood was, because it didn't happen often that she could recommend someone her own book. I read the first book in the trilogy and she was absolutely right: These guys were all three in their own way amazingly sweet and I loved the Sea Dragons and their witch. I was therefore quite curious to read the second book.
I loved how this second book started where the first book ended, almost as if it was actually one big book that the author cut into two (or actually three) parts. However, since it's been a while since I've read the first book I needed a little time to reconnect with the characters, their story and their world and since there were actually no flashback sentences or small reminders that was a little harder than it usually is.
But once I was connected to the story, the world and its characters again I once again really enjoyed everything! I love how interesting and yet also healthy this relationship is. Yes, there are some issues, they have been keeping secrets from each other, but they also do take the time to talk about things and once secrets are in the open people are opening up about all the rest too. Of course, the characters do need a little time to forgive, but that's also only natural and healthy.
Although the focus of the story is on the connection between our witch and her sea dragons, there is this small extra plot line of the age old war between the witches and the sea dragons too. At first, since barely anyone knows our heroine is a witch, it's only very small and barely there, but during the book it grows bigger and bigger and leaving us eventually with that horrible cliffhanger was just incredibly mean. Especially since I don't have the third book yet. I'll change that as soon as possible.
Continuing on from the previous cliffhanger, I was eager to know what happened and this book didn't disappoint at all. Ty rejects and turns on Skye because of what she did to Jack and this hurts her deeply, though she does understand his protective nature. Jack recovers and after a declaration of love, he shows off the clans secret... Skye can't help but feel fury at two particular hypocritical men. Aiden wants Skye to form a protective barrier around his people but her belief in her power and herself is lacking. Ty has past issues that he shares with Skye in an attempt to apologize... He wants her to understand his reaction to her and why it was so poor. Aiden is helping Skye deal with her powers but is fighting his own feelings... He is the obsessed with the safety of his clan and keeping danger outside of their range. There's upset in the village and Skye is at the centre of it.
I needed to know what happened in this book after the drama of the cliffhanger... When my eyes were open, they were dedicated to finishing this book. It is rare that you find a book and wish you could exist in that world and belong... I could possibly deal with a sea dragon or few. I adore the characters and I'm glad they aren't so one dimensional or this book series wouldn't work... They have fears, emotions, forgiveness and personal growth... All which I consider important for character building. I highly recommend this author and the series, I think its a fantastic contribution to the literary arts. This is the second book in the trilogy and I will hate for it to end but I am overall happier for peeking into Zoe Ashwood's paranormal romance filled mind.

This series was so fun! I’d read the Nora Moss series where they talked about these characters but I hadn’t gotten around to reading this yet. I hate I slept on it so long! I flew through these books!
Skye is our FMC and she’s on her way to Alaska to 1) do a job and 2) get away from her family. Skye is also a witch but she has very specific powers that she struggles with. When you hear Skye’s story you really can’t help but feel for her. I loved how she went through so much just to make sure she didn’t hurt anyone. Her personality was really fun too. The interactions with the guys made me laugh and it was nice seeing those relationships build.
Aiden, Jack and Ty were our MMCs and what I loved most was how different they were but they each brought something Skye needed to the relationship. Let’s also not forget they can turn into dragons. Jack was hands down my favorite. He’s big and protective but also this giant teddy bear. He knew immediately how he felt about Skye and never once did he waiver no matter what happened. Ty was just fun. He was a big flirt and all his interactions just made me smile. His backstory really tugged at my heart. Aiden was the leader. I had mixed feelings for him at the beginning but as you get further in the story you understand where he’s coming from on a lot of things. I did really like how protective he was of Skye, nothing makes you swoon harder than that.
There were lots of twists and turns in this series and I liked that I never knew what to expect next. It was a really fun read and one I’ll definitely read again.
It's safe to say that I am besotted with this series. In reviews past I have made my feelings about mid-series books very clear: I find that they very rarely pack a punch or add their own magic to a series; often, they're only there for some development and to hopefully keep a modicum of momentum going.
That being what it is, I loved Ensnared. Adored it. As much as I loved its predecessor. Ensnared will never be the high maintenance middle child who goes around bemoaning "Marcia! Marcia! Marcia!"
It's a book with actual grownups who uncover secrets, argue, actually resolve issues, uncovere more secrets and then... seamlessly... new mysteries are introduced. Middle books are usually more of the laggers in a series and I loved that this one stood on its own 2 feet.
Skye is so smart and yet so sweetly naive (but not in a "oh, please, get a clue" way) - she is still figuring out how special she is and learning that not everyone has her motive-less spirit. And those guys... they are just all heart, aren't they? They're each such good men and the relationships feel real and developed and not at all contrived.
I will say that if you thought Tempted had a cliffy, then you're definitely going to notice this one. Luckily Zoe Ashwood is churning the out at an awesome speed and we will be seeing book 3 very soon! Yay, Us!
Steamy PNR RH. I read this in a few hours and already want more
This is the second in a completed trilogy set in the wilds of Alaska. This is a Paranormal Romance and Reverse Harem series and has very descriptive scenes of sexual interactions between the four main characters; three males and a female.
This book picks up right where Tempted left off. Tech-witch, Skye is settled at Amber Bay. With Aiden’s help she’s beginning to get control over her magic and her life is looking good. Things are going well for her with Jack and Ty and her relationship with Aiden, although filled with conflict and angst, seems to be improving. He wants her and she definitely wants him. She finally feels like she is somewhere she belongs.
Her happy new existence doesn’t stay peaceful for long though. Someone or something is stalking Skye. Can she stay safe in this wilderness location?
I am really enjoying this story. I like Zoe Ashwood’s writing style. There are no grammatical issues or continuity errors to pull me out of the flow. I like the characters and the dynamics of their relationships. They have grown throughout the course of the last two books. I want to know what happens next. I’m so glad book three is already published.
This book picks up right after the cliffhanger in Tempted. Skye had an amazing experience with Jack and Ty, but it ended with an unconcious Jack and a furious and scared Ty. With Skye's status as a witch revealed, all four of them need to find a new balance and trust. Pretty soon Skye finds out why Aiden really hired her, making it even more important to find a way to use her powers for the good of the sea dragon village.
I am extremely happy that this series is multiple POV, because it makes it a real joy to get a look at the thoughts of the guys. Both Ty and Aiden say and do things in this book that make you want to slap them, but knowing how they think and what leads them to it, helps tremendously to understand them better. There is a vulnerability to both of them that they don't want to show. Jack is a cutie either way, I definitely claimed him as a part of my imaginary harem now, and he brings a good balance to the four of them. I love the way they make Skye stronger, and finally give her a sense of home (although they tend to mess up sometimes along the way...)
There is a lot of suspense to this story, mysteries, heartbreak and love, ... All those things together make this into an amazing series, and I'm anxious to find out how their story continues.
I voluntatily reviewed a copy of "ENSNARED" This is the second book the "SEA DRAGON OF AMBER BAY" it's full of sweet moments, humor, intrigue, suspense, angst, hot steamy and erotic scenes, danger, twists that make a real page turner. Skye learns more about her magicial poweres still trying to control them with the help of her Dragons Ty, Jack, & Aiden she's also learning more about each one of them Ty & Jack are falling for her but Aiden still holds back not admitting how he truly feels about her. I love the journey Skye & her Dragons take you on so much happens their is a traitor in town that will cause the storyline to become more intense, new characters in the mix as well this will definitely take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I definitely recomnend to get this very well written Trilogy with awesome characters I'm so looking forward to next book "SEDUCED" to see how this turns out so well worth the read it won't disappoint.
At first I was extremely angry with Ty and his hypocritical attitude. luckily the man redeemed himself. Jack has been amazing and supportive the whole time. Aiden tho needs to get over himself. I understand he has the weight of his people on his shoulders but the way he treats Skye sometimes is rough. He should trust his instincts that say he can trust in her.
I do wonder if it’s the ex-coven who is doing this and if her sister knows. It seems like they love each other and I think it would break Skye if she found out her sister betrayed her. I did expect her to be a little more supportive of Skye learning magic and finally feeling more confident.
Can’t wait to start on book 3 and figure out what is going on and who outed Skye to the rest of the dragons. I’m also curious who trashed her cabin.

not quite 4 & 1/2 stars. I definitely enjoyed this book & stayed up way to late on a weeknight to try to finish. It held my attention & I would have picked up book 3 immediately afterward if it was out. The world building is sort of learn as you go, because the characters know their own histories (dragons versus witches) but not really each others. They are both trying to hide their existences from each other for past prejudices that led to wars between them. This does have a cliff-hanger ending. I liked Skye right off the bat, and then the 3 dragon shifter guys, Jack, Ty, and Aiden, are really intriguing. The plot was unique & that was great. The mysteries start to slowly unravel, and lead the story. Can't wait for book 3 to come out now.
Loved this sequel, couldn’t put it down and now I’m eager to read the next in the series. Watching the characters grow over the course of the book as they come to terms with secrets that have been kept from each other, incidents in the past was fantastic and heartwarming. I laughed and cried through the work. I enjoyed it so much, the multiple views was a great window into how each of the characters were dealing with the situations. The plot was great and I can guess where it is headed in the next book but there are always little surprises that get thrown in that I don’t expect. I loved this work and by the end I was left with the hunger to read the next one as soon as possible.
Skye Jones, Tech Witch extraordinaire, made up with Ty after her magical experience with Jack, together their romantic bonds grew. Aiden, Sea Dragon clan leader, assisted her to hone her magical skills as she set up the Internet for the village and work on a protection spell for the village. But he was still on the fence when a tracking device was located in her boxes from her sister, as the villagers discovered she was a witch. It was about to be the Salem Witch Hunts again as they pick sides, Sea Dragons vs Tech Witch!!
Amazing plot with another cliff-hanging ending!! Unconditional love theme flowed through this novel as displayed continuously by Jack! A Must-Read!
So I found this installment to be a bit frustrating. It was a lot of angst, characters taking one step forwards then two steps back, and just when things seem to be going well it all falls apart again and then bam cliffhanger. I know some people love those kind of books, but personally I read for escape/happiness so plots like these kinda just leave me grump and unsatisfied. For two books deep the relationship between Sky and Aiden has really had barely any progress and his trust in her is so insanely fragile. I want to throw something at him at times. I did read all in one sitting so at least there's that and the good moments were very cute, I just wish there was more of them. Hopefully the next book will bring everything all together.
The second book of this series is even better that the first one. More steam, more action, more everything. I was immersed in that world and couldn't put down the book... The story flows, each character is unique, and I love the fact that Aiden has not joined "the team" yet. There are times that I want to hit him so badly, haha, but I do understand that as the leader of the pack, he has responsibilities. When they found the tracker, I was so sure that her sister is not exactly innocent, but it remains to be seen how the other dragons will react.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Oh my gosh, this series is so hot! 🔥 two sexy hot guys.. maybe three 😉😮🥵😜 if you don’t know what a reverse harem story is, this is the perfect one to start with! The cheeky scenes aside, I love this series! The sea dragon concept and the witchy world are brilliant and this author completely hooks you right the way through! The first book in this series was amazing, and I worried that the second one might not live up to it but I ended up devouring this one in a 24 hour period !
If you like the idea of a strong female lead with lots of sexy partners this reverse harem fantasy book is for you! #whychoose
Holy crap I devoured this book. And after the cliffhanger in the first book how could I not?
We were left with Ty, Jack and Skye down on the beach with no one knowing what happened to Jack.
I was so pissed at Ty in this book, I’m just being honest. I get that finding out about Skye was a shock. Especially how he found out. But he had plenty of time to come to terms with it and realize he was acting like a dipshit far before he did. And the adorable ness that is Jack was so sweet. He woke up and instantly wanted his girl then he went to get her.
But our little group worked through it and slowly Skye started to realize her feelings for Aiden too. But there is someone in town that doesn’t want Skye there. From her cabin being trashed and Princess going missing to the way this book ended, things are just getting more complicated for our lovely group.
I read all three of this trilogy in one go so will write this review on the series as a whole. I really liked this series. The FMCs powers are really unique and interesting. The whole romance with the guys was super cozy. Once they worked through their secrets and hang ups it was just so sweet. I loved the community for being so welcoming and accepting of our FMC after she’d been through such misery with her own family and coven. While I said it’s cozy there is also some threats and danger to be overcome. But all in all just a really great story. The spicy scenes are pretty good as well 😉

After the first book, I was REALLY looking forward to this one! It. Did. NOT. Disappoint. But, it left off on a cliffhanger!
I love the RH aspect, with almost crossing swords but not quite. I love the supernatural aspect of witches and shifters (sea dragons). I love that there is already an acceptance of different relationships (ie monogamous, throuples, RH with bicuriosity, poly). I love that the main characters and some of the side characters have no issue with their differences, despite the two groups having an extreme history of killing each other.
It is spicy, but it is also exceptionally sweet and cute.
