Brain Gain certifies that celibacy and chastity are favorable for the brain and nervous system. An overwhelming body of documentation combined with facts from Vedic, Ayurvedic and religious texts of major world traditions makes this perhaps the most authorized book on the subject.
This book explores the benefits of sexual abstinence for achieving enlightenment and preventing mental health issues like Alzheimer's and dementia, which can arise from excessive loss of sexual fluids.
It compares Western scientific views with those from Vedic traditions in India, showcasing the advantages of abstaining from sex and the drawbacks of misusing sexual energy. Remarkably, these two schools of thought have been aligned for 25 centuries, from the 5th century BC to the early 20th century.
The content covers a range of topics, including neuroses, psychoses, classical continence, modern abstinence, and the insights of celibate geniuses. It also discusses the scientific perspective on the benefits of retaining sexual fluids, the impact of losing them, libido-less diets, religious purity, and the idea of chaste women.
In short, this book is the most thorough resource I've found on retaining sexual fluids. It's filled with a ton of useful information and comes highly recommended.
Probably one of the best books out there in the world that explores all the benefits of the practice of Celibacy or Brahmacharya.
I've been highly curious about the posisble benefits that celibacy can provide in my pursuit of enlightnement or the divine. And I must say this book does a great job at outlaying all the different people in the world who have applied this practice in their lives, and how it lead to them attaining great achievements in their lives. It is clear that a lot of research has gone into this book.
I have read the Practice of Brahmachary by Swami Vivekananda, and honestly I think I prefer this book since it is able to speak to a western mind more aptly. Vivekananda's book is a little dogmatic, and this book is a lot more open to western values and backed up by real world examples of celibacy put into practice.
