Rate this book
The week after eighteen year-old Bryce graduates high school, he learns that he's been accepted into the college of his dreams. With that comes his placement on the University's football team, too. The skinny blonde thinks he has all summer to prepare for his big moment meeting the team for the first time come September, when his first day of college arrives. But Bryce finds out that his first team meeting is actually only a few days away. After a text from the team quarterback, Mason, who invites the blonde to hang out at the lake with some of his new teammates, Bryce is excited, though he's equally confused at the insistence he be 'showered and shaved EVERYWHERE.' He obliges his new teammates and shows up to the lakeside cabin, only to find an intimidating but welcoming group of guys. Once the sun is down, however, Bryce is made aware of the team's initiation process. What Bryce thinks is some sort of simple fraternity-type pledge proves to be MUCH more. Turns out if Bryce wants to be a college football player, he's going to have to endure the the stickiest, most unthinkable night of his life. The only thing more unthinkable for the straight blonde, is that he might just end up enjoying every second of it...

DNF at 74%. Yeah, I know it's really close to the end but I just couldn't finish. It was short but really bad. I have a hard time deciding what turned me off the most - the blackmail aspect, the group chant thing (no, treating sex as a drinking game is not hot) or the straight pretensions. I'm not trying to be politically correct here. I've read erotica far more taboo than this and enjoyed it, and yet this story repeatedly pushed all the wrong bottoms for me. I can't figure why I've got a recommendation on it. Shame on you, Goodreads.
That was the last strike of this author for me.
