Another wonderful book by Denise Hunter. The painful and powerful topic of abortion is at the center of this book. Denise did an amazing job of showing the reader the difficulties women struggle with when faced with an unwanted pregnancy, the pain, the emotional roller coaster, and the shame if she follows through with the decision. The greatest part of the story is how God's redeeming love can heal any situation, pardon any sin, and change every life with a willing heart. I cringed so many times throughout the book as I witnessed the indifference and distance between Paula and David. This is not always an easy book to read, there is real pain on the pages, but it is so worth it.

A young news reporter from jackson hole wyoming has a chance at the big time being an anchor news reporter in Chiacgo. She has a secret, that secret is an abortion. A young teen unkowningly had an affair with a married man gives her daughter up for adoption, then comes to Chiacgo to go to school and put the past behind her. The abortion goes wrong and the baby lives and is switched with a couple who's own daughter had died at birth. This special needs girl's name is Faith. This book is about repentance, healing, love and yes finding Faith. The Author so tasefully touch on these subjects.

Well... the plot is interesting, but I didn’t like the way this book was written. It felt... flat. Unbelievable. Cheesy. I read the whole thing mainly just to finish it and move on.

I have to admit that I really wasn't fond of Paula's character through the first two books in the series, but my heart broke for and warmed to her as I got to know her in this book. I didn't see how she and David could work through all of the issues in their marriage, but I guess that's an accurate picture of real life. We can't overcome challenges like they faced without His grace and strength.
My favorite part of the book is definitely Linn's story, though. Having walked a very similar path in my own history, I could relate on such a deep level to get struggle to receive God's forgiveness, forgive herself, and believe that God still wants to bless you and use you for His proposes after you've so royally messed up. I loved how her story concluded and the hope that shines through these interwoven lives.
It's a great, well-written piece that you may not be able to put down.

Have the tissues ready!
This book also has a sweet romance between Linn and Adam, a young soon-to-be-pastor. And there is also a wonderful gospel summary. Also, this book continues the redemption theme from the previous two books about forgiving oneself.
But I teared up a couple of times during Paula's story. It's kind of ... dark. Difficult to hear. (Tough for me, anyway. But then again, fertility is a trigger for me. I RAVED about the first book, "Mending Places," ... and that book was also gritty, except it dealt more with child abuse and victim of rape.)
HOWEVER! I STILL LOVE DENISE HUNTER!
Now I'll be moving on to the second book in the Riverbend series ... I LOVED "Riverbend Gap," the sweet first romance and am eager to (ahem, put the tissue box away!) get back to that series after finishing this one :)

What a powerful story of love, family, regret, and most of all: forgiveness. Paula is a reporter who longs to move up the ladder. She's given the chance at a temporary investigative reporter job at a Chicago TV affiliate. Her husband decides to stay hone in Jackson Hole to focus on the realty company he just bought.
Paula stumbles on to a story that will change her personal and professional lives. The mystery around the story reveals truths that are hard to accept.
A great end to this series and Denise Hunter saved the best for last!

Wild! Wild Wild Wild book. This is a very deep book that touches on very real, life situations with unexpected twists, turns and connections. It's the final book in the series (although I discovered and read it first) and it too has an element of forgiveness like all the others and it really makes the reader think and apply whatever was learnt to their own life.

I always like reading Denise Hunter because I know what to expect. She writes heart warming faith based novels. Finding Faith is no different, it is about family, forgiveness and Gods love and forgiveness to us. Dennis writes about some very difficult subjects in this story and she does a wonderful job covering them.

This was an amazing ending to a series of three books all dealing with difficult life issues and shining light on the value of forgiveness. Don't we all need that? I was very moved by the writing and depth of the three stories.

This series pulled no punches. The secrets and stories of Paula and Linn flowed into this novel from the previous ones. In each book, I found the "coincidences" hard to swallow but the characters engaging.

So Seriously Powerful!
This is a book that will leave you crying in the end. It illustrates the power of forgiveness. Linn gave up a child she'll never see again. David will not get to raise a child that he gave life to. But GOD heals.

I didn’t realize until a little ways in that I had already read this book. Well worth reading the second time. Be sure your sins will eventually surface.
