Fun, Fast, and just a tad bit Freaky

This was a super fun, quick read of a kind of lust at first sight to a forever kind of love.
Even though we didn't necessarily get a happily ever after, it's definitely implied. With the way Northern is about Indigo, I don't see him letting up.

Colorism is a turn off

This is the story of two color struck people.

It is such a turn off to have a Black female author perpetuate the toxic colorism from the first page, where the self proclaimed high yellow red bone lusted after the blue black chocolate man across she sees during Paris Fashion Week.

I kid you not. These are the actual words the author used to describe the characters. I found the colorism offensive and to be an example of lazy writing. Flesh out the character descriptions using more imagery than skin tone.

Let's Give it A Go

This book was definitely more my speed as far as romance goes. I liked getting to know Indigo, aka 'Go-Go', and Northern McKinley.

I think that Go-Go was far more traumatized by her ex, Jamaals', treatment of her during their relationship and his death, than she actually admitted to. I'm glad she got grief counseling, yet I think she still needed more counseling. Either way, I'm glad she at least entertained Northern for them to be "playmates". She was fooling herself bc if he's as fine as everyone stated he was, there was no way she was keeping their relationship purely physical.

Northern McKinley was a successful music producer and I'm glad he took to Indigo the way he did. He was patient from the first time meeting her and her twin sister Clarke. He could've left right there, yet he stayed and instantly connected with Indigo. I like how open and honest he was with her. I really like these 2 together and hope they'll show up even more in future books.

Good read.

Sassy! Spicy! Sizzling!
The chemistry between Northern & Indigo is absolutely delicious! Her Social media job has taken Go-Go and her twin sister to Paris for Fashion Week.
Northern, a famous, successful and super fine music producer, is also there. He can't take his eyes off Indigo and approaches the sisters as a gentleman, who knows exactly who and what he wants.
As Indigo & Northern get to know one another, I love the honesty, the hilarious conversation and the respect that flows between the two. When the "Friends with Benefits", is no longer working, it is laugh out loud good how Northern calls Indigo out on her mess, and makes her recognize the real deal! Loved it!

.

Gogo and Chocolate were so cuteeeee! They really were a whole vibe. Overall I loved this series. There was some things that obviously rubbed me the wrong way. And Kyndall was definitely not a favorite at all in her own book. She was ok in every one else's but she did Dominic dirty. But I digress. Indigo and Northern were sexy, beautiful and soulful together. I'm glad it didn't take them to long to figure our they wanted each other as more then just f* buddies. Well Northern already knew it just took Indigo a teensy weensy but of time to get on his level. 😍

Why?!?!

My only complaint is.......the ride was over Wayyyy too soon! This book was such an addictive read. I started missing the characters before I got to the end. I absolutely hated reading the words THE END! I felt the same way about her other book Keeping Busy. I’m going to see if she has written anything else. Great Romance writer.

Great short story

This was a short cute story. From the moment that Indigo and Northern met it was instant chemistry. This author writes such interesting stories and I'm obsessed with the Watson girls.

Didn't care to much for this one

This one didn't do it for me. It was mostly just sex, the most interesting thing was her talking about how her ex died, otherwise this was pretty boring and that ending was just blah.

okay northern!

This was a quick and easy read that I very much enjoyed. Indigo got in my nerves a little and some of the smaller details felt thrown in but overall it’s a good story and Northern is tying with Saint (from Kourt-ing, yes I read book 6 before 1 and 2) as book bae

You know those books that give you that visual imagery of watching a feel good, heart warming movie? The kind that you’re anxious to know how it ends but you’re not in a rush for it to end? “For The Love Of GoGo” is one of those books!

From the moment Indigo and Northern met, it was HIT THE GROUND RUNNING! The instant attraction they shared and cat-and-mouse flirtiness made for an authentic relatable storyline. And the love scenes were STRAIGHT FIYAH🔥

This was my first read by Tracy Gray and the way she shows the story has me eager to read more of her work. So take my word, 1-Click NOW and read what all my hype is about!
