*Six Alpha Shifter Romances*

First they were sold. Now they will be marked and mated.

Marked Brides is a collection featuring six brand-new, scorching hot shifter romances from six wonderfully talented authors. This exquisitely sexy box set includes the following novellas:

Versoth Bride by Maren Smith
Josie anticipated hardship when she agreed to work on Terra Arcus, but she didn't expect to be stripped bare, put on the auction block, and sold to the highest bidder with her bottom still sore from a strapping to curb her defiance. Though she escapes the brutes who bought her, she soon ends up in the hands of three even more fearsome beasts who decide to claim her as their mate.

Mate of the Mamuut by Morganna Williams
When Shiloh arrives on Terra Arcus she quickly discovers that she has been deceived. She was not brought to this planet to study the native wildlife, but to be sold at auction. As the giant beast who bought her carries her off, she quickly discovers that he will not hesitate to spank her soundly for any disobedience before claiming her beautiful body long and hard and thoroughly.

Wildcat by Delta James
Upon awakening to find a rugged brute in her cabin claiming to be her mate, Salem expresses her lack of interest in accompanying him to his planet by means of a knife thrown at his head. Unfortunately for her, he wasn't asking, and she will be coming with him to Terra Arcus whether she likes it or not. The only thing up to her is how sore her bottom will be when they arrive.

A Polar Hope by Pepper North
After losing her job on Earth, Marisol signs up for a cultural exchange program with Terra Arcus, but upon her arrival she is stripped and put up for auction. When the northern clan chief recognizes her as his own, he claims her and escorts her back to his lands. While their future children are the hope for the clan's survival, she captures her stern mate's heart as well. He will ease her adaptation to her new life with a firm hand and a loving embrace.

Daddy's Stowaway by Allysa Hart
When Callie is caught stowing away aboard a ship bound for Terra Arcus, she ends up in the custody of a stern, handsome scientist who quickly takes on the role of her firm-handed daddy. Her efforts to deceive him soon earn her a sound spanking on her bare bottom followed by a thorough, intimate medical examination, and before long he has decided to claim her as his mate.

Their Fated Mate by Lesley Clark
After signing a contract to spend a year on Terra Arcus performing medical research, Natalie is shocked to instead find herself being stripped and put on shameful display on the auction block. One look at her beautiful naked body convinces an alpha wolf and his beta to buy her, and to her surprise it isn't long before their dominance awakens an uncontrollable mating fever within her.

Publisher's Note: The books of Marked Brides include spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this collection.

One would think I would have learned my lesson about collections by now, but I seem to be a sucker for pain...which, keeping in mind the books' main theme, should mean I'd be right at home here.

Eh.

So. This collection was a bit different than others I've tried, because there's a common overarching set of plot points that frame all of the stories, and then each author ran with a shifter from a different clan, aka species of animal they shift into. Most were prehistoric animals with a smattering of the expected bears and wolves of the PNR genre.

There were too many cooks in the kitchen despite the set frame, because each presented it a bit differently and some contradicted the others, which made it confusing to keep up with what happened.

Minor spoilers ahead. Major spoilers will still be under the cuts.

So. Here are—what I think were—the big plot points everyone worked with:

+ Some unspecified "Great Event" happened on Earth, causing a bunch of people to die, and societies to fall into dark and chaos. Some stories present the masses as starving, desperate, with no tech, while others decided that there were still McMansions and fancy science labs and other things on planet. So. Hard to say on this. All agree that Earth no longer has country governments, but rather a single global one, with no details on how that would even work.

+ At some point before this, Earth sent scientists, explorers, and some criminals (WHY??) off into space to....find a planet? Colonize a known planet? Unclear and vague. But Earth apparently never knows what happened to all of these people and they're kinda lost to history. Apparently they all reached Terra Arcus where the scientists stayed in a city and remained human (?), but the explorers and criminals went out into the wilderness to mix with the native population and/or mutated to survive the harsh conditions. But..something happens...and now Mars Needs Women; they need fresh women to impregnate since—you guessed it—female births are down and the ones who are still around are popping out only male offspring (because all the dudes are popping out only male sperm, so why are no men coming along for this ride?) or infertile. The TA scientists eventually figure out how to trace the route from the original craft back to Earth, where they decide to go for fresh baby incubators. (Since all mates were intended for the shifter clans, there's no discussion about whether or not this is an issue with the ALL HUMAN POPULATION in the city. They send out for Earth women instead.)

+ A bunch of women are duped into volunteering to head to TA for the promise that their loved ones back on Earth will be paid off fed and provided for the rest of their lives. They're told they will be helping the population and given the impression they'll be heading off as mail order brides with some choice in who they pair off with. NOPE. It's a slave auction, y'all.

And that's all before we even start breaking down the individual stories. That frame is a 2⭐︎ effort, because it's not overly original, and honestly, from a financial stand point (and many others) it makes zero sense when the planet has a massive modern city filled to the brim with unaltered humans.

And now, the stories.

Warning: every story in this book is heavy on the butt stuff and most go into punitive anal.

Versoth Bride by Maren Smith: 2.75⭐︎

Mate of the Mamuut by Morganna Williams: 2⭐︎

Wildcat by Delta James: 1.25⭐︎

Their Fated Mate by Lesley Clark: 1.5⭐︎

I really need to stop trying to make these collections work for me.

Most of these stories were excellent. There were only a couple that ranked a 4. Lots of steam and hot loving, some tender, and a couple were rough.

6 great stories by 6 great authors! I loved this book!

This is my favorite kind of anthology - familiar and favorite authors, scifi, daddies, hawt, all stories are in the same new world or universe, all unique to each author, can be read in any order you choose (you can read your favorite author first, or in the order that appeal to you) and there’s one author I hadn’t really read before (shhh!) and now have a whole backlist to explore.

I can honestly say I don’t think I have a favorite story here. I really enjoyed them all and can absolutely see myself re-reading each one based on my current mood.

A definite recommend from me!!

Each story in this collection was great. The beginnings were similar as the heroines thought they were signing up to do something good but they were really being sold at an auction. From there, the stories take off in different directions and I had fun going from one story to the next to see where it was heading. Great stories by wonderful authors that I already follow and read.

Delta James has become one of my must read authors and this story, that is part of this group, is such a fantastic story. All the stories in this book tie together somewhat but Ms. James's is absolutely fantastic. She has a way of grabbing you right at the start of her books and doesn't let you go till the end. Her stories involve power exchange, spanking and other sinfully delicious things so if that's not your thing you might not like this book. But if you enjoy it, even in your fantasies you won't be disappointed. Jedrik and Salem's story is one of dealing with a situation that you didn't ever think that you would be in but learning that you might just find you soul mate along the way. This story has all the thing that you could want; comedy, action, drama, conflict and of course hot, hot romance (it is Delta James after all). You really don't want to pass up this group of stories but Delta James' is one not to be missed.
Pepper North is one of my 10 ten must read authors and her contribution to this series is so delightful. Her books usually are age play themed but this one is a little different from her usual but equally fantastic. Age play isn't something that I would want to do in real life but in my fantasies Oh Yeah. Her story line and world building is so awesome that you are drawn into her story from beginning to the end. Turi and Marisol's story is one of desperation and survival but knowing that you could find your happily ever after if you make it through the trials that life has for you. This story has everything that you could want in a book; comedy, tragedy, action, drama and of course hot, hot romance. You don't want to miss this story as well as the whole book

Versoth Bride by Maren Smith. Josie's expectations of Terra Arcus are far removed from reality. Will her new world bring pleasure or pain? Will 3 men hold her captive, or set her free to explore her limits?
Mate of the Mamuut by Morganna Williams. Dreaming of a world she can study the native wildlife, Shiloh's first experience is less than hoped. Will the journey she undertakes to the Mamuut be the dream of a lifetime?
Wildcat by Delta James. To the winner go the spoils. But Salem's first experience with Jedrik puts her in a secondary position. will her natural wiles help her in triumphing over his animal magnetism?
A Polar Hope by Pepper North. A crushing job loss leads to a desperate gamble. Will it pay off when Marisol survive the journey? Can her heart take it if Terra Arcus is another disappointment? Or will her instincts give her the edge in capturing a heart?
Daddy's Stowaway by Allysa Hart. Being rejected is never an easy thing to take. But sneaking aboard the space vessel and heading to a new world just may be the toughest decision Callie has to make. Will her bad behaviour get her thrown out the airlock, or will the stern scientist step in to correct her errant behaviour?
Their Fated Mate by Lesley Clark. Will Natalie's medical knowledge prepare her for what she will face in the new world? A signed contract, a shameful auction and two men who want to dominate may just may her tuck tail and retreat.

These were fantastic stories! I’m usually not one for a Sci-Fi story per say. The theme throughout the different stories were the same but all of them were different. The first and second stories were all complete, but in this reader’s humble opinion, the ones in between could use a follow up Novella as an extended epilogue or another book how life was afterwards. HINT, Hint to those authors. Even the first story by Marin Smith could use one. And that last story by Lesley Clark left the door wide open for another book to be written. Morganna Williams hit just the right spot! Her Epilogue was a definite closure. Delta James contribution was really good and it also could use a Novella. Pepper North’s story letting the readers see a llittle beyond the end would also be really nice! Allysa Hart’s story definitely has potential for another book! Especially since It involved Rego and all that unwritten drama! and Natalie being a Doctor and her sister Suzie?! I can see that book! So in short what I’m trying to say is that each and every story was wonderful and even though sci-fi isn’t really my thing I would read anything that extended these stories. Angst, horror, joy, happiness, lust, love and enough steam to make your room like a spa!! Great reads!!! Compliments to all the Authors on a job well done! ♥️

This fantastic sci-fi shifter anthology has something for every kinky minded being. It runs the spectrum from Maren Smith’s deliciously dark and erotically savage yet somehow tender ‘Versoth Bride’ all the way to Pepper North’s adorably gentle and playfully light ‘A Polar Hope’. And with the four novellas in between: Delta James’s
seductively feral and heavily sexual ‘Wildcat’, Morganna Willams’ humorously creative and imaginatively sweet ‘Mate of the Mamuut’, Lesley Clark’s action packed, suspenseful and fast paced ‘Their Fated Mate’ and Allysa Hart’s humorously adventurous, satisfyingly sexy and sassily cute ‘Daddy’s Stowaway’, you are guaranteed to find at least several that will light your fire.
With a shared starting point and motive behind it, every story is creative and unique, but with sexy, dominant alpha shifters - some of which you’d never dreamed of ever encountering, not even in a book - and an adventure you simply don’t want to miss, in common.
I highly recommend you take the journey to Terra Arcus, with six, in the end, very lucky women, and meet the Arcans.

All stories are based on Earth and the planet Terra Arcus.

Versoth bride by Maren Smith: Corran, Kagin, and Soval save Lili, offer her shelter, treat her wounds, and claim her as their bride.

Mate of the Manuut by Morganna Williams: Earth men don't find Shiloh attractive, so she moves to another planet, and mates with Drakier. Her animal healing and communication skills come in handy.

Wildcat by Delta James: Salem is claimed by Jedrik. She's surprised by certain customs, and changes her body will go through.

A Polar Hope by Pepper North: Marisol loses her job, and is inadvertently claimed by Turi. I love this story, the author is courageous enough to choose a non-white female as the lead.

Daddy's stowaway by Allysa Hart: Rego finds his mate in Callie. He makes a personal sacrifice to keep her safe.

Their fated mate by Leslie Clark: Malachi and Aric claim Dr. Natalie Michelle Johnson as their mate. She's incredibly intelligent, and her abilities develop quickly.

Tera Arcana is a harsh planet, and they don't have enough women to carry on their species. They lure women from Earth to exchange technology and knowledge, but the women end up sold at auction to be used to mated and bred. There are six stories here, each of which takes place in a different region of the planet, and each region has its own shifter species. The planet is a harsh place, and not safe for females until they are marked and claimed. Each of the women is strong and feisty, and not too happy about being there at first, and the men are strong and heavy on the discipline. In the end though, each couple (or triad in one story) falls in love and becomes devoted to each other. Each author did a great job of putting their own spin on the story, and I really enjoyed all six.

I love this collection of stories! I couldn't put it down! These stories are by some of my favorite authors. I was so excited to read these stories. I loved reading about these males and females. I loved all the stories and can't pick a favorite one. I would highly recommend this book!

The planet, Terra Arcus has to come to Earth asking for women to breed. These are the descendants of colonists. Their planet has changed their DNA but only Earth women are compatible with them now. There was a Big Event on Earth that has changed everything. Women agree because they can help their families on Earth for the rest of their lives. They made promises but when the women come to the planet things are very different. The women are very surprised by their new lives. Will they be able to figure things out and find happiness with their mates?

A collection of Six Alien romances based around Terra Arcus by a mix of great writers.
The six title in this collection are all based on earth women and the alien colony of Terra Arcus which needs females. Six excellent writers have combine the individual talents in this collection and their different ideas give the stories a great variety. Women are taken the Terra Arcus under different reasons but all end up naked and with sore bottoms controlled by the males who acquire them and with few females born to the colony these males are desperate. Enjoy as the female fight the dominant males to finds a future for themselves.

Amazing. Well written. Interesting premise and execution. I enjoyed this book. All the stories are interlinked so this reads seamlessly although each is written by a different author. I love Pepper North and her stories and the Polar Bear story is as cute and hot as her other stories. Their Fated Mate is hot short and spicy. Shiloh and the mamuut is a sweet, hot sexy read as expected from Ms Williams. Wildcat from Ms James introduces strong sexy Salem and her dominant. Ms Smith story sets the bench mark for well written and rounded characters, sexy scenes and disciplinary spankings. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I very highly recommend it. This is a very entertaining page turner.

Wild Cat by Delta James - This is a great read that is entertaining. The Sabre Clan’s leader Jedrek needs a mate and goes to Earth to find her in the traditions that have been handed down for generations. He finds her, Salem but she has no intentions of becoming his mate. The story tells of her rebellion and discipline that she receives. There is a HEA but before that happens, sitting is uncomfortable. I loved this story, especially Jedrek and the feelings he has for his new mate. I would highly recommend this as a great read.

Alien shifters.....I honestly never thought I'd be reading about alien shifters cause they've never been my thing.

Boy was I wrong!!!!!! I enjoyed all the different stories by all these fantastic authors.

Mate of the Mamuut by Morganna Williams- Shiloh and Drakier are one of my favorite couples! A woolly mammoth, who would've thought a woolly mammoth would be so dang sexy!!!!!

A Polar Hope by Pepper North- Marisol is so precious! She wanted to protect her family without being a burden. Turi takes such good care of Marisol when he meets her. They were meant to be together, if her stuffie is any indication.

Great book!!!!

6 stories by 6 different authors
As Earth struggles to rebuild after “The Great Event” help comes from an unlikely source. The Arcans. They are descendants of Earth Explorers that had been sent into space many years ago. Now they are back looking for women to take back to Terra Arcus in exchange for their resources and superior technology. It was all a lie. When the women arrive they are stripped and sold at auction to the various shifter societies that have evolved on the planet. Each story features a different clan.

Omg didn’t see this coming!

When I bought this I thought it was going to be similar to a series written by Millie Taiden. While it starts as earth women going to help a planet repopulate and there were shifters involved that’s where the similarities ended. All the stories are great on their own but this flows almost seamlessly. Serious domestic discipline does ensue so if spanking tiggers you this isn’t your book. If any or all of the authors take this further then I need notified! Absolutely one of the best books I have read all summer...THE BEST.

A collection of amazing short stories, set on a planet settled by earth and then forgotten until they return to help earth in exchange for brides.
Each story is unique and will capture your attention and hold you spell bound as it unravels it secrets and the fantastic characters it is about.
A must have if you like sci-fi, shifters or anything out of the norm. Though they are not so entrenched in different to capture your interest if you just love romance.

Marked Brides...

6 Hot and Awesome Authors, with 6 Interstellar Brides who find their Shifter Mates...this is definitely a book to read...
Each story is different but all have the same theme where women are sent voluntarily to Terra Arcus from Earth as brides or mates to those that need them..
I loved each and every story and while I couldn’t put them down as each story is thrilling, short and steamy hot reads and I think this will be a def reread for me in the future..

This anthology was riveting from the first page to the last! 6 different authors came together and brought Terra Arcus to life in their own style.

The stories all were created around the central theme of life on Terra Arcus but each bride had a unique experience based on the pack she was selected by.

All 6 stories were SO good, they draw you in from the beginning and don't let go! The fact each story was so unique kept this from ever getting repetitive! Loved it!

Versoth Bride

This is Maren Smith's contribution to this series and I can say that I never read about these kinds of shifters before which made it an interesting read. Their bonding ritual was also something new.

I liked the main character, she made me laugh and she was very selfless and adapted very well. It is also a really steamy read.

My only complaint. It was too short. I hope it keeps expanding into a full length book.

Awesome authors and great stories!

I so hope there will be more stories about this world. What a great concept with all the different kinds of shifters. I love all these authors and they did not disappoint. It does seem like Leslie Clark's story leaves it open for more. Fingers crossed!

This is a fun book. It has a central theme but then each author has a separate story. There's a little something for everyone who likes erotic romance: on the slightly darker side, on the lighter side and some in the middle. The characters and stories are great, thanks ladies

1. VERSOTH BRIDE by MAREN SMITH
When Jose found out artists were included in with the professional females being sought as part of the bride program for the planet Terra Arcus she immediately filled out the forms. The incentive was easy. A lifetime of medication for her ailing grandmother and nutritious food for her family. The reality of what she encountered was entirely different than promised. That being said, could she really say she was discontent or unhappy? Did she make a mistake? This reverse harem romance has all the drama, angst, possessive alphas, and a strong determined female to keep the story interesting and entertaining.

2. MATE OF THE MAMUUT by MORGANNA WILLIAMS
Shiloh had always been shy and being so much taller than most of the girls and boys only made things worse. By the time she was out of high school she was 6'2" tall and kept their farm animals as her only company. Because of her ability to always seem to know what the animals needed she decided to go into Veterinary work which was a saving grace for not only her but the animals as well. But as things on Earth began to deteriorate she found herself let go from the Vet's office. She didn't have any family left, her parents had already passed, she decided to volunteer for the Terra Arcus program thinking she could help with the animals there. Once arriving, she was led to believe she would be interviewing with other scientists and was horrified to find herself on stage and being auctioned and then ultimately sold to Drakir of the Mamuut. I loved the way Morganna Williams took what was considered an 'Ugly Duckling' story and worked it around with such style and wonder!! Read this story and you'll understand how absolutely heartwarming this is.

3. WILDCAT by DELTA JAMES
Jedrek was the Chief of Clan Sabre. Their clan had gone into an agreement with the Coalition to be part of the auction of Earth women. The women were to be carefully chosen from the very best of the species. Not only were they to be able to purchase a bride but would bring the Sabre Clan advances in medicine and the ability to trade for food and other items they needed. If they hadn't joined the Coalition, then the Coalition would have moved against them in a united fashion. The crux of the whole thing for Jedrek was the fact he was a sabretooth and a mate was to be claimed through a hunt NOT purchased. How could a sabretooth show his strength and skill by purchasing a woman? What sabretooth would want everyone in creation to see his mate naked on stage for their entire world to look at? Jedrek had other plans. This is a wild, alpha filled adventure that absolutely kept my heart rate up and my interest held. I just love Delta James's imagination.

4. A POLAR HOPE by PEPPER NORTH
Marisol was the youngest and only girl of four children. Her brothers were now grown, married and with families of their own. She'd been working for a wealthy family as a nanny and later part-time cook/baker since she was in high school. But once the great event took place there was a chain reaction. Her father's pacemaker went out without the technology and her mother died of a broken heart. Until recently, she'd been living with the family she worked for but things became even harder, they had to let her go. Visiting her parents grave in the churchyard a friend told her about women going to Terra Arcus and the benefits to the family left behind. The next day while going through the process she had a mark placed on her arm by a man named Turi. From there her adventure started. This was absolutely a heartwarming story between the hero and heroine. Who doesn't love a fate induced love match?

5. DADDY'S STOWAWAY by ALLYSA HART
Callie had applied twice to be a candidate for the Terra Arcus project and had been rejected as not good enough to be chosen and she was mad. She'd hid and listened to everyone and everything she could until she heard a man begging a woman named Sherry not to leave him. That's when Callie struck. She convinced Sherry to give the man another chance and Callie would take her place. After all, the Arcusians would never know the difference. Indeed, Sherry stayed, Callie took the bracelet and connected it to her wrist and shortly thereafter, boarded the ship. She was on her way. Until she started snooping and found an unlocked door only to have a hand grab hold of her wrist and pull her into the room. With no way out, Callie soon realized there might be more to this adventure than she realized. Allysa Hart has given us the perfect scenario of Daddy/little brat with this storyline and characters that were so easy to relate to and just fall in love with. Another great addition to this collection.

6. THEIR FATED MATE by LESLIE CLARK
Malachi, aka Ki and Alpha of the wolf pack, along with his Beta, Aric were running out of time to find their third. If it didn't happen soon their line would die out and they were already being threatened by Gareth to take over before exiling the two of them. Ki knew their third was out there somewhere and feared the auction could be their last chance to find her. At the same time down on earth, Natalie, a doctor, had signed a one-year contract to assist the scientists on Terra Arcus. When she arrived she found herself in the middle of an auction with no answers and no way to go home. This is the first book by Lesley Clark I've read but felt confident that since she had collaborated with such a great group of authors, I wouldn't be disappointed. And I wasn't. Her characters were certainly relatable with all the emotions that came along with the drama, angst, and mystic. Oh, and btw, I'm really hoping there's another book after this one because I'd really like to read Suzie's story.

This is such an outstanding collection of authors, five of whom have been part of my list of favorites and one I've just been introduced and added. The stories captivated my imagination, grabbed my heart (along with other parts), and kept me spellbound until I finished the anthology. Each of the stories features a woman from Earth who, for varying reasons, left and became part of the call for females to travel to Terra Arcus to become brides. That in itself sounds like the Earth custom of 'Mail Order Brides' of old. Yet what they encountered is a whole new scenario. Can you say shifter? You won't want to miss these adventures. I highly recommend this.

This is a book with six separate stories. They are all based on the brides from Earth going to Terra Arcus. Their families receive food and other assistance for the bride's sacrifice to leave and never see her family again. There is a lot that the brides are not told about....

Versoth Bride by Maren Smith 3*
Josie volunteers so that her younger siblings get food to eat and guaranteed scholarships to college. The journey to Terra Arcus is long, but the women are given as much food as they want and have the freedom to talk to one another. When they land, Josie is brought off, her clothes dissolved and they sold at auction to the highest bidder. The men that bid on her are a family group of seven men. Some are not happy to have her, but they need her to have children. She is treated roughly and when they let her out of the cage, she runs from them. She goes into the swamp and is found by the Versoth who are shifters that turn into a kind of crocodile. Eventually there is a HEA, but this is a dark story.

Mate of the Mamuut Morganna Williams 4*
Shiloh is a veterinarian and she had been laid off and had no future on Earth. She volunteers and is taken to Terra Arcus and sold. She is bought by Drakier of the clan Mamuut. He decides to spank her and force her to orgasm on the stage. He is pleased with her and takes her back to his home. He turns into a kind of wooly mammoth, puts her on his back and they start the trek to his home. When they stop for the night, they make love and she finds out what he can do with his nose! They continue their journey and have a HEA.

Wildcat Delta James 4*
This story is a little different. Jedrek is the chief of clan Sabre. He wants to hunt and catch his mate. So he goes to Earth with the ship and goes off on his own. Salem is a wilderness guide that lives off the grid. Jedrek claims her as his mate, but he has to work at it before Salem agrees. This is a fun story!

A Polar Hope Pepper North 4*
Marisol has had a tough time since the Great Event. She travels to become one of the brides and her only belongings are a quilt and a stuffed polar bear. Turi is one of the guards helping to round up the women on Earth. He claims her as his mate and brings her back to his clan. He turns into a polar bear and Marisol does as well. They have a HEA.

Daddy's Stowaway Allysa Hart 4*
Callie wants to go to Terra Arcus, but she is not chosen. She takes the bracelet of another woman and goes on board. Rego is the scientist who came up with the bracelet to identify the women. He is also a black panther, but that is hidden because the scientists do not shift. Rego finds out that Callie lied to get on board and he decides to be her Daddy.

Their fated Mate Lesley Clark 4*
Malachi and Aric are the alpha and beta of the wolf pack. They are searching for their third. Natalie is a doctor that thinks she is going to Terra Arcus to help figure out why they are not fertile. Instead she is bought at the auction by Malachi. They become mates, but there are more problems as there are wolves who want to take over the pack.

This is sci-fi so the readers need to be open minded about this book, it may not be a smooth sailing. However, the authors' various styles made it interesting and surprising. I read this book specifically because it has the names of Maren Smith & Morganna Williams on its cover. That not to say that the other authors in the book didn't add their special touch. Each story was unique.
Versoth bride by Maren Smith: her anthology is darker than the others. Her aliens' world was a pit complicated. It was not an easy read. I felt sympathy for her heroine and admiration for her Heroes; they looked tough but they were compassionate and tender when it came to their mate.
Mate of the Mamuut by Morganna Williams: lighter read and I enjoyed the epilogue. It gave a needed conclusion for the story and the readers.
Wildcat by Delta James pushed many boundaries and taste a lot of limits but I was really satisfied with the way it ended. I just wished there was an afterward end to shade light on the lives of Jedrek & Salem.
Daddy's Stowaway by Alyssa Hart : another new author to me. The story is really good. The lightest among the stories. I wished there was more about Callie's background because it wasn't clear why she wanted to leave the earth that desperately. Otherwise I enjoyed it a lot.
Their Fated mate by Lesley Clark:
Well written, quite unconventional on many levels. My only issue is that Natalie was taking in everything that was thrown on her so well! She didn't question that much what is happening on the new planet or the shifters . She seem too much accepting! Regardless, it was a good read.
All the heroes in this book are dominant and tough . All the heroines are sweet but they're never doormats. If the sci-fi is not your thing, it might be difficult to get to the book. However if you don't mind some of it with the idea of shifting and paranormal, you will definitely like it.
