Nature breeds new life with the sign of Spring in the air in Leavensport, Ohio, and Jolie and Ava find their new families’ lives turned upside down! With properties in Leavensport beginning to sell, Nina Sanchez opened a bakery after purchasing the lot next to M&M’s Italian restaurant. She is new to town and swears to Ava and Jolie she has no connection to the Dominican Republic Sanchez mafia family. Yet, Ava is skeptical, and this sends Jolie and Ava off on yet another investigation looking at how organized crime connects to their little village and the politics that surround it.

Meanwhile, Nina Sanchez is not thrilled to feel obliged to cross-sell and become a full-fledged member of Leavensport, especially not with Jolie and Ava investigating her history. She has no choice when her son discovers a murdered homeless woman on the street on his way to deliver bread to the local shelter—it looks a lot like a mob hit and the reveal of who the homeless woman is will send all of Leavensport on alert making Jolie question the future of her town.

Welcome to Leavensport, Ohio, where DEATH takes a DELICIOUS turn!

I am taking another trip to Leavensport Ohio with book 6 in the The Cast Iron Skillet series.
Firstly OMG Jolie is married! I missed book five but knew it was coming, im so happy for her.

Now as well as married life, Ava’s news and a possible connection to Dominican mafia ties Jolie has her work cut out as once again her quiet little town is again awash with murder and mayhem.

This is a series that I have really enjoyed reading and you can easily start anywhere with any book as there is enough back story provided that will more help you connect the pieces all together. Like I say I missed reading book 5 but didn’t miss a beat reading this one.

I love the little town life, the characters and of course the amazing recipes at the end of the book. I can’t wait to see what is in store for out duo  next!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Great Escapes Book Tours. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Monkey Bread Business by Jodi Rath is another fantastic book that makes you wonder what is going on in this small town.
Can Jolie figure out who killed Janelle before something more sinister happens?
Jolie Tucker
Jolie Tucker is our sleuth who's recently married, Detective Mick Meiser. I sure did miss a lot from two books. Anyways, Jolie and Mick are doing great and getting used to sharing a house. It is tough at times since people in Jolie's life just let themselves into her house. Jolie is still the same character as always but wants Mick's mafia family to like her even though they don't. She is learning that first hand in this book even more than from before they were in-laws. Jolie is also sick most of the time throughout, which is sad because they have a stomach bug going through town. I hope that she feels better soon.
The Mystery
Monkey Bread Business CRDespite the flu or stomach bug going around Leavensport, there is a murder victim found at the homeless shelter that they have there in town. Well, more like on the outskirts of town. A young woman has been murdered, and no one knows why. Now Jolie has to figure it out while keeping Ava away from the frontlines of the case. Things are heating up in this small town as these two young ladies uncover what has been happening in their town for decades probably. Will Jolie and Ava be able to figure it out?
Five Stars
Monkey Bread Business by Jodi Rath is another book that I couldn't put down. I loved reading every minute of it, and I figured out the sickness part right away. Sadly, I couldn't figure out who killed Janelle. Let's say that Jolie Tucker and Ava Martinez are putting a lot of things together, and someone high up, in this case, probably the one who started all of these problems, to begin with, isn't happy. Hopefully, nothing bad happens to them. I am rating it as 5 stars and recommend it to everyone that loves this Cast Iron Skillet Mystery series as much as I do.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Welcome back to cast iron creations with Jolie and Ava. This is such a fun series with these two because they are so close as they run both the cafe and their P.I. business. The two are sick this time trading off which one is sucked at any given moment making for some awkward situations to say the least. Things start a tad slow but then a body is found throwing them all for a loop. The current case seems to tie into some stuff they have been researching though it does take a couple surprising turns along the way making for an entertaining mystery as these two try to figure things out. This fun adventure makes for a pleasant read as it all progresses that is sure to delight cozy fans. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
