Great Read!!! For many of us, especially black women, it is quite familiar to put others needs before your own. This book will challenge and inspire you to put yourself first and find your own pleasures of life! Highly recommend!

Breaking down limiting beliefs

I didn’t know how much I needed this book until I started reading it. This book brought all of my limiting beliefs about pleasure and helped me to break down the barriers to what was keeping me back from ME! I highly recommend this read for all women.

Great Read! For many black women practicing self care is considered taboo or “selfish”. The author showed that self care and pleasure is our right to be the best version of ourselves and for those around us.

Great Read

I really enjoyed reading this book. It has really opened my eyes and shined light on how much I ignore my own needs to make those around me more comfortable. I'm definitely going to continue reading and learning more about how to please myself first!

Really really really good book for Black Women to get back to caring and please one self. Imo it is more of a dedication for to selfishness (in a positive way), we tend to look at the word selfish with a negative connotation. We have to stop this. If you can't take care of yourself emotionally, mentally, physically, etc. How can you care for anyone else? Wonderful lessons and affirmations to consistently go back to reference this great book!

I love the take that this book has on self-care. It explored what self-care isn't and what it can be. It dipped into the challenge of being a black woman receiving self-care in a world where black women seem to have to take on everything.

I think every black female should read this book. When I say it’s powerful. That’s an understatement.

I thought this book was going to be about sexual pleasure based off the cover. Lol but this book is about making yourself a priority and setting healthy boundaries to practice self care.

12/10.

I did the audiobook certain and am definitely going to get a physical copy of the book. Listening to this book made me feel like I was listening to a friend that read me for complete filth. I loved it. I’m definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the books by her!

I saw this book and title and thought hmm, that sounds interesting. While speaking pretty specifically to Black Women, this short read inspires women to put themselves first. It doesn’t really tell us something new, but it does tell us it’s ok to put yourself first and here’s why…
