A clean very tight copy with very faintly marked boards, well tanned pages and no bumping to corners. 237pp. The author discusses the short and long-term effects of some of the least understood materials released into the environment in waste streams or as a result of accidents - the toxic heavy metals, mercury, lead, cadmium, selenium, chromium and others In the case of lead the releases even came from all car exhausts back in the 1970s and beyond.
