What if Peter Pan visited a girl in modern-day New York?
What if Snow White had super powers?
Includes 3 books:
Totally Cinderella Every day of Cinderella's life is the same: clean the house, cook the meals for her stepmother, and try to survive high school with her stepsisters: bubblegum-pop-princess Tiffany and moody, hard-partying Danielle.
However, when Cinderella meets a mysterious stranger from another land, she learns that maybe all her life needs is a little bit of magic...
Peter and Emily Grounded at home on a Friday night, Emily Beckett is shocked to find a boy on the balcony outside her room. He tells her his name is Peter Pan, and he's there for one reason: he's looking for someone to have an adventure with.
And with that, Emily is off, whisked to the world of Never Land, a place filled with sailing ships, tropical islands, pirates, and flying machines.
However, Emily soon discovers Peter hasn't brought her there only to experience Never Land's wonders. His friends have been capture, and Peter believes—without a shadow of a doubt—that Emily is the only one who can help get them back.
Snow White and the Power of Light When 18-year-old Snow White moves into the kingdom of Elsentree, she finds herself a target of the Queen. After all, the Queen has forbidden all magic from Elsentree, and Snow White has the most amazing power of them all: the ability to make the images in a painting move and come alive, as if they are a window into another time...
We all know how fairy tales progress and end. This version, updated with a look at modern times and the ‘next’ story, is more about the journey to the end. I kept reading to see how the author would get to the next part of the plot.
Ok, so I’m giving this one 3.5 stars. I really enjoyed the first story, Totally Cinderella. The second story was good but I lost interest somewhere in the middle to find it picked back up at the end. The last story, Snow White and her light powers, was just not that great. I was totally digging the 80s vibes that came with the Cinderella story. It was very magical and enticing. There was a play on Teddy Ruxpin and that was a little nostalgic for me. I didn’t personally have one but my husband did. I knew quite a bit about them though. The second story was very nice in the beginning and I like how it was played out. However, the middle portion was very boring to me. While there was a lot of activity, it just seemed to lag some. The third story was just so boring. I love a good Snow White story. But this seemed to have a lot of added information that I just don’t think was relevant. I figured out what would happen early on so the ending was anticlimactic for me. I really just wanted it to be over. I almost DNFd it because I knew what would happen and it was just filler at the end. All in all, it was a good book. I’m glad I got to hear these stories. Some were just better than others.
Here we have three fairy tales, told in a more modern way: Cinderella, Peter Pan, and Snow White. I liked the way the author chose different settings for the stories and twisted the plots.
Cinderella has a step-mother and two step-sisters, but they live in a modern city. Cinderella is in high school and gets to meet a famous pop star. Peter Pan shows up at Emily's apartment in New York City and insists that she come with him because he needs her. Snow White and her family move to a new village and she starts to sell her paintings that move.
The books are very unusual at first you do not get it until the middle of the first chapter then it really gets good. The books are a easy read and very entertaining a lot of thought went into them. The books are about fairy tales but with a different prospective. Very entertaining.
The stories wonder if feel right anymore Can't wait to see where the fairytales weed
I hope the author continues to write these books as they have replaced my version of harry potter My harry potter fan you are now my fantasy land I loved running around with peter Flying Long time since I was able to do that20 and have the mind of a child and can barely
While I enjoyed "Totally Cinderella" and "Snow White and the Power of Light", I had to skip over "Peter and Emily after about 30 pages. I just couldn't deal with that one after awhile. The story about Snow White was my absolute favorite and my reasoning for downloading the book if I'm being honest.
I read the first - passable but I started number two and gave up. The book would be delightful for the 10-14 age group but, although I like YAs, this was toooo young for me
