Prayers and Pratices for the Souls in Purgatory

Rate this book
Purgatory isn't a book subject that most people get excited about, but this book is a delight! No doom and gloom, nothing dull or overly academic. There are some great prayers here and some practical ways you can help the souls in Purgatory. But there's also a wealth of clear history and Scripture, simple explanations, and personal stories. You'll walk away from this book with a much fuller awareness of Purgatory as a wonderful (and, yes, beautiful) mystery of mercy.

I really enjoyed this book! There is a lot of great history and clear explanations, from the Scripture and the Apostolic Era up through the present. The author includes prayers, devotional ideas for the year, testimonies, and ways to explain Purgatory to other people. I didn't know terribly much about Purgatory until recently, but this book makes it make sense. And best of all it is clear and well-written! The pacing, length, and narrative structure are all excellent.

This book gives such great advice and suggestions on how to pray for the holy souls. I found it helpful and inspiring. It does a great job of presenting the Church’s teaching and relating it to scripture. I know I will keep going back to it to aid me in my prayers for the holy souls.
