Gospel Focused Discipleship is a three-year discipleship curriculum that has material for 30 weeks per year. Each week, disciples will engage in four different Scripture, Equipping, Accountability and Prayer. In the Scripture section, disciples will be guided through an inductive Bible study of a book of the Bible they choose. In the Equipping section, disciples will read different Christian books together and discuss how to apply it to their lives. Although certain books are recommended, it is ultimately up to the group to decide which books to read. In the Accountability section, disciples will be guided through various questions that hold them accountable to upward growth in spiritual disciplines, inward growth in applying the gospel to the heart and outward growth in sharing the gospel with others. The Accountability section grows and changes each year. In the Prayer section, disciples will pray for and with one another. Each year also includes various exercises to help the group get to know one another on a deeper level and reflect on how God has shaped their lives. The first six weeks of this year one curriculum includes added material to help disciples get to know one another and understand what discipleship is. This curriculum is designed to give a broad structure to each group and then let the personality of the group shape the experience.
