Henry Herman (1832-1894) was an English dramatist and novelist.
He was born in Alsace, and educated at a military college. He emigrated to the United States, and served in the Confederate Army during the American Civil War, losing an eye as a result of a wound received in action.
Afterwards, he moved to London, and began to write for the stage. His first play, Jeanne Dubarry, was produced at the Charing Cross Theatre in May 1875, and was followed the next year by Slight Mistakes, a farce. In November 1882, was produced his first great success, The Silver King, written in collaboration with Henry Arthur Jones, with whom he also wrote Breaking a Butterfly (an adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House; 1884) and Chatterton (1884). He then wrote Claudian with William Gorman Wills (1884), and The Golden Band (1887) with Freeman Wills. He also wrote: For Old Virginia (1891); Eagle Joe (1892); and Fay o' Fire (1885), a romantic opera, for which Edward Jones composed the music.
Between 1887 and 1891 he wrote several novels in collaboration with David Christie Murray, such as: One Traveler Returns (1887); A Dangerous Catspaw (1889); The Bishop's Bible (1890); He Fell Among Thieves (1890); and Paul Jones's Alias (1891). He also wrote alone a large number of novels.
I was expecting copycats of famous restaurant recipes, but I soon realized these were actually keto recipes. As someone who has to prepare food for a Type 2 diabetic, I appreciate the keto aspect. I liked that snack foods were included, my.husband is a huge snacker, so now that I can make him crackers and tortilla chips is awesome.
I loved this book. I was happy that I got to look at such good food from my favorite places. I am on a diet right now and this had some recipes that I can still have. I will be cooking some of these recipes and have healthier food without all the salt for myself.
While Mister Herman's book was informative and contained recipes; none were from a restaurant. When I hear "Copycat" I think of replicating recipes from Red Lobster or Red Robin that I can make at home.
I am a huge fan of restaurant foods but i hate paying the prices. I love that this book provides the recipes for so many of my favorite foods and drinks from my favorite recipes.
This book teaches you where to start and what to do. It teaches you how from your favorite recipes to lose weight. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to try new recipes or old favorites.
This is a great and necessary cookbook since we don't always know what we are eating when we go out to restraunts. Right now a lot of us are scared to dine out. But with this cook book you can make all your restraunt favorites at home. Love this.
First of all, the Classic Western Omelet recipe is everything! I collect cookbooks and I especially love the copy cat recipe cookbooks. The recipes are a great addition to my and every cooks collection.
