Enjoyed the continuous updates on the other sisters and their significant others….I didn’t connect with Devin & Lily…it felt forced…or rushed. Goooood Narration from Winston James & Mari

I’M SO HAPPY WE WILL BE GETTING MORE STORIES WITH THIS FAMILY!! 🥺

I wanted more of Devin and Lily. 😭
Though we got to see their progression in the other books, it made me happy seeing them finally together.

Now that I’ve read the whole series, I’ll probably be rereading them all again at some point.

These stories showcase Black love so well. Black love in all its forms.

I’ve been anticipating Lily and Devin’s story for a while based on their interactions in the previous Flower Sisters books. I can honest say I am glad that Lily pushed her insecurities and fears aside to give Devin a chance to show her that she is indeed worthy of love. However, I did expect a more detailed account of their courtship and Lilly’s background. We knew that she had a strained relationship with her mother and recently discovered she was the youngest of six girls, yet we weren’t privy to her backstory, details about the relationship with her mother or her personal point of view about the changes in her life. I really needed this to be a full length story; too many questions went unanswered. It felt rushed and the need to close out the series by including the other sisters took the focus away from the courtship of Lily and Devin. I needed more details. Overall it was cute and quick. I expected a different close out of the series, but I’m happy that Lily opened her heart and allowed love to walk in

This was the perfect, for now ending of the Flower Sisters! Lily had been through so much this year, and adding Devin to the mix, excited her and scared her at the same time. He was patient with her, as he knew that she was the "one". With them both dealing with traumatic times, getting away was the opportunity for them to really get to know one another. The time they spent away together solidified the bond that was already there. They both cared for the other, just needed the space to let the love grow and flourish. Great read, and looking forward to catching up with the rest of the sisters in the future. 👍👍👍

The Love Dare by Asia Monique is about new author Lily Fredericks and bar owner Devin Booker. Lily is the youngest flower sister, her story with Devin has been building from the very beginning. This is a novella, so it’s short in length. We got to see Lily and Devin finally come together, go on a quick baecation, revisit the flower sisters and their significant others. The baecation is my favourite part of this book because Devin and Lily were the main focus. This is a cute little story, it was good for updates on past characters. Definitely something you should read after reading the Love Language series.
P.s. Devin has a lot of cousins 👀 even quadruplets that own a film company, how amazing would it be for them to get their own stories?
P.s.s. The Field men 😍😏😍

Short but sweet

Loved Lily and Devin’s story. Loved all the Flowers Sisters stories. Hate Lily’s mother, but so happy that she still managed to flourish and grow from her pain. Nothing like having a support system and true love you get you through. Love wins every time.

The build up to Lily and Devin's story is what really made this book for me. We were introduced to Lily and Devin in book 1 and every book after that we were teased with their romance. While too short, it was lovely to see Lily & Devin's relationship develop beyond Devin's obsession with her.

3.5 - “I dare you to let me love you.”

I enjoyed the book. Nothing super exciting but a good way to move the story along with the sisters. Glad everyone got a book to get things from their pov. I didn’t really care for the age gap with Lily but he seemed to care and take time with her. They already had a bond since it was mentioned in another book. All in all it was nice to see the sisters lives moving along with creating their own families while remaining stronger than ever. The husbands get along great with one another and the sisters. So what more can one ask for. Got one more book to listen to. All the audiobooks are good and i found them in hoopla.

Oh glad lily decided to move on because that mothers of hers needs to get a grip.

Lucky Number 6

Lily like most people found love but tried to deny it. Devin was a man that was not giving up on her. He dared her to let him love her but little did he know she loved him already. Lily needed her older sisters to push her in order to let love live. Once she did everything fell into place. Devin was everything she needed and displayed all 5 love languages in his own way. Excited to read the next release about this family. Maybe Aunt Lori will get her own book. Great job Asia.

A little dare

The Flower sisters seemed to have an issue with a dare. It is like poking a sleeping bear, and a challenge on steroids. Lily had her turn to find love along with her five sisters. When the series started, I thought it would be annoyingly cute; then, as the storyline demonstrated, this series would have interconnected parts, many with highly charged moments. Lily and Devin's story was the final episode for this saga. Hopefully, this group will appear in later stories.

Excellent Series

I love the this series tackles real life issues with grace and sincerity. Lily had so many gems about life that touched me personally. Everyone doesn't have an amazing mother but God always sends in subs even if you're not paying attention. I love the flower sisters and encourage everyone to read them all and find you in them. Amazing read!

Love On The Brain

Lily and Devins story was everything. I was on an emotional roller coaster bc of the death of his cousin I thought devin wasn’t gonna be in a good head space to receive the love that Lily was giving. Happy she got her self together and got her man

The last sister in the group. Adopted family in more ways than one. This one covers the age gap. The love he extends out to her with inexperience and all. She helped him in his time of need and then dared her during the process.

Times up

Although short, this was a good way to sum up Devin and Lily's story. They've been at it for almost a year, and to see Lily finally let her guard down and be open to Devin's love was sweet.

Lily came into the Flower sisters lives after not knowing she had any sisters until she was almost 20 years old. She wanted to know them immediately, yet didn't get the support she needed from her mom and her dad's sister, Lori, whom raised the other 5 Flower Sisters once all of their dad's signed over his rights to her. I'm glad that Magnolia and Lily had a bit of a rough start, yet were able to really have a nice time getting to know each other before the other sisters met Lily. She fit in once she opened up and I love that they all bonded in different ways. Devin noticed Lily almost immediately and was head over heals in love at first sight. I like that he was always there for her, even with her not giving in to his advances. He was patient yet determined to make her his and vice versa. Although she did have apprehensions about him being 10 years older than her, she knew that wasn't the only reason she was holding back. She had this uncanny feeling that her mother wouldn't approve of him. Lily only wanted love and support from her mom, yet she got ridicule and no support. I could understand Lily needing her mother's support and being proud of her, yet once she acted a fool at her college graduation party, I would've set my mom down, gave her a piece of my mind and washed my hands with her. Her mom took out the hurt and pain she felt from her the Flower Sisters dad not wanting her, out on Lily. I'm glad Lily finally let her go and I hope it stays the way.

Devin was a good man. He was hit with the love bug instantly after seeing Lily for the first time at his bar. I'm so glad he stayed the course and waited her out. He could've moved on and let her go, yet he couldn't. I'm glad that even though she wasn't accepting his offer to date or be a couple, that he knew he could depend on her in his time of need. I love that Lily dropped what she was doing anytime he simply said "I need you!" I knew then that she loved him just as fiercely and I love them together.

Lennox is such a great man. Magnolia lucked up with him. Being that Devin was his best friend and Lily was the baby sister he never had, he was conflicted on them going back and forth; not knowing if they'd be a couple or if things would be awkward if they chose to be with other people. I'm glad Devin and Lily got it together bc my man Lennox was going through it.

I literally could read about Ezra and Roman all day. They're hilarious and add so much light to each story. I can't wait for this double destination wedding. I'm sure it'll be one for the books.

Another great Flower Sisters Love story. Good short read. Highly recommend this series.

“The Love Dare” by Asia Monique is a spicy novella that captures the essence of romance and personal growth. The story centers around Lilly, the youngest of the Flower sisters, who has recently graduated from college. Her character is vividly drawn as a passionate writer, bringing a depth of creativity and sensitivity to the narrative.

Lilly’s romantic turmoil with Devin, a successful bar owner and therapist, forms the crux of the story. Despite her strong feelings for him, Lilly’s insecurities about their age difference and her own inexperience in love lead her to continually evade his advances. This dynamic creates a compelling tension throughout the novella, as readers will undoubtedly root for their union.

Devin’s character is equally well-developed, showcasing both patience and strategy in love. His unique approach – daring Lilly to let him love her – is a masterstroke that adds an exciting twist to their romance. This dare leads them to a transformative one-week trip to Lake Tahoe, which serves as a beautiful backdrop to the unfolding drama.

The story excels in its exploration of themes such as self-discovery, vulnerability in love, and the courage to embrace one’s feelings. Monique’s writing style is both evocative and engaging, making each page a delight to read.

About time....

Lily and Devin finally stop playing with each other emotions and became a couple. It took a few books into the flower sisters series but now they are one. They actually make a great couple. I am glad Lily stop listening to her mother and accepted Devin's love.

Lily's mother was a piece of work, what kind of woman treats her only child like she did. She told Lily she was "dead to her" which is words that should never fall out of a mother's mouth. Although, Lily's mother treated her like that her sisters enveloped her with all of their love. They made sure she was part of the family by adding her to their family boutique. They also made sure to speak life into her dreams and career goals. Lily may have lost a mother's love but she gained a tribe of sisters that is going to stand by her no matter what.

This was another great read that is leading to the double weddings coming up. I am looking forward to more of the flower sisters and their upcoming nuptials.

I most definitely recommend this book, as a matter of fact, I recommend all of the flower sisters books. You should start with Magnolia's story and just keep going.

I listened to Flower Sisters Book #6 "The Love Dare" by Asia Monique, Narrated by Mari and Winston James via Audiobook. I've previously read #1, #2, #3 #4 and #5. I love that the books are interconnected and keep providing updates on previous Sister's relationships. So if you are going to read the Flower Sister books, please read in order.

Devin definitely wanted Lily but Lily was hesitant. This was obvious in other Flower Sister books however, in Book#6, we learn the reason why Lily was hesitant.

I'm glad Lily started living her life how she wanted and stopped looking for other's approval. It is sad she lost the love of someone but she gained the love of Devin. I really love that the book ended with a dare.

So good! The length of the book isn't bad at all, it was perfect! Lily and Devin had such a soul stirring connection, very intimate, very necessary. Their need for each other was what really drew me in. They were hurting, in their own ways, and they needed their love to get them through everything. loved the support her sisters gave her and how everyone was team Devin+Lily! Her Mom and that relationship was a waste smh...so disappointing. I can't wait to read about the double weddings! This series is SO GOOD! Keep it going...
