Rate this book

The English title is City of Scripts - the Craftsmanship of Vernacular Lettering in Hong Kong. Amazing book, even if you don’t read Chinese (which I don’t, at least not we’ll enough to read this book), just the pictures and drawings are worth it. Anyone who has been to Hong Kong will grasp the importance of vernacular lettering to the aesthetics of this city and the books gives a lot of insight into this phenomenon, as well as explanations on how the lettering is actually produced.
