Happy sigh. This is one emotional sucker punch of a story! Because once Ross shows up on the scene Stacia feels like her life is about to be shredded to pieces and she's already weathered enough loss and woe to last a lifetime. I was sucked into an emotional vortex that didn't spew me out until the very last page. :-) I do so love reading with my heart.
So...Ross makes a pretty dreamy hero. He's the noble, stalwart brother who only wants to do right by his hitherto unknown niece and nephew. Check that the kids are being well cared for and loved and then...well, he has every intention of being a big part of their lives so Stacia will just have to get used to him being around. Only she's gone all adrenaline-spiked mama bear and the fireworks come in epic proportions.
I devoured this book in one sitting and Vannatter delivers heart and faith and hope with page-turning perfection.

I recently discovered this author and I'm really enjoying her books. They are well written with good plots and characters that seem real to me. I love that: real characters. This one was really a good read and I intend to read more.

Shannon Vannatter writes a story full of warmth and heart. Ross Lyles discovers that his brother has a set of twins, and that he has given up rights to them. Ross shows up to meet his niece and nephew, and to check out their aunt and grandpa. Stacia Keyes is raising her dead sister’s 5-yr-old twins. She is so afraid that Ross, and his parents, will try to take the kids away from her, that she nearly misses her chance for love.
