War is coming to the City of Fountains.

The Four Legendary Creatures are free, the Seven Sins are running wild, the vampires are getting thirsty, and the Vatican is ready to enter the front lines.

And Callie Penrose is at the heart of it all. The Horsewoman of Despair flicked the first domino, and the consequences are echoing throughout the various halls of power in all corners of the world. As the streets of Kansas City threaten to become raging rivers of blood, one of those closest to Callie is kidnapped, and she is forced to choose between her heart and the people who depend on her to keep them safe.

To value duty over love.

As the pillars of Heaven begin to crumble, it becomes increasingly obvious that all these events are coordinated rather than coincidental. Callie may have flicked that first domino, but how much can her heart handle when she learns that some of her closest friends set all the dominos up in the first place.

Now is the time when success truly depends on how Lucky Callie can be, and whether she can determine which friends have been paid thirty pieces of silver to stab her in the back. Angels shall weep, and demons shall laugh.

Humanity will burn and gods shall die in the wake of a Horsewoman betrayed.

It never ceases to amaze me, the wild twists and turns Shayne Silvers conjures up. Trinity, which runs largely concurrent with Carnage of the Nate Temple series, certainly is 'wild'.
Comprised of the events leading to - and through - the battle for Olympus, Trinity retells the story from Callie's perspective. This cannot be an easy thing for an author to do, to tell the same story twice while keeping the facts straight, but the details and perspective entirely different, new, and fresh. But Silvers does it, the madman.
Of course, at the same time, Callie is embroiled in her own problems with the Seven Deadly Sins, morally ambiguous angels, and a host of angry vampires. Not to mention two missing loved ones.
Trinity serves up belly laughs, in addition to angst, feels, mayhem, and surprises. Basically what you expect from a Silvers novel. And probably my new favorite character, Lucky. Enjoy!

I'm afraid to write a review because it's so easy to give something away that shouldn't be. But, here goes.

This was amazing. Infuriating. Exhilarating. Intriguing. Depressing. So, yeah, he's on his A-game. He ran me through the gamut of emotions, and I loved him about 80% of the way through. But then, at 90% his life was in serious jeopardy! As was my Kindle's! Nobody puts me through it quite like this man does.

Callie is back, and we get to watch Carnage from her point of view. Now, that in itself was an interesting exercise in writing something old in a fresh manner. It was actually pretty cool seeing how Callie felt about it all. And watching her development is definitely exciting. I know my daughter preferred Callie enough that she's read all the Callie books then went back to read about Nate and Quinn.

We get to see some old favorites in this one, too. Castle Dracula is hopping, and her studies with Ryuu are going, ahem, very well. The interruption in her own issues in Kansas City by the problems in St. Louis make life very hard for her. Yes, she was there to help with the Olympus annihilation, and that's what was so unexpected for her. See, she has tons of issues going on in Kansas City so she really didn't have time for Nate's problems, but she went. She is a Horseman, after all. But what's brewing in her city is pretty bad.

So, where does he leave us? Waiting patiently, always patiently, Shayne!, for part 2 of his Trinity! Cause the way he ended part 1? Well, you'll see.

Do I even need to say it? Excellently done, Mr. Silvers! Excellently done, indeed!! I love when you put me through my paces!

My head is still spinning after reading the latest creation by this author. There’s so much going on right now in the newest in the Templeverse series, and I just even know where to begin. This book is filled with all the elements you’ve come to expect from this prolific author: laughter, tears, joy, heartache, etc. I am in awe of his talent, but I don’t think he gets any sleep. Callie is put through the wringer in this one, and she comes out much better at the end. Don’t miss this latest as it’s a masterpiece like the rest. If you haven’t started this series, you can not start with this one. You must start in order. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

That was awesome!

I had heard this book was a rollercoaster ride of emotions and it didn’t disappoint me. It has tons of humor and stresses the importance of family. It was loads of fun to see Nate and his crew as we get to experience the showdown with Zeus from Callie’s perspective. Don’t worry, it’s not a rehash of Carnage, as Callie has tons of craziness to deal with on her own.

Trinity

Callie uncovers secrets about herself and others. She is targeted by heaven and hell. She loses family only to strengthen and gain family. She continues marching toward her destiny that is entwined with the Horseman, being Count Dracula the upcoming war and becoming a Queen and that is all in less than 48 hours. Hang on folks the ride is getting bumpy.

This Rose Has Thorns

It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Silvers. How could I continue reading all of his books if I wasn’t? However, he continues to impress me in new ways. His writing has matured and gained nuances that separate a glass of water from aged whiskey—both do their job, but one is so much more layered in its taste.

Once again he packs some hearty laughs into his pegs. There aren’t quite as many as some of his other stories, but there are definitely some gut busters lurking within. He also packs the feels. Be prepared to tear up. Things are coming to a head, war is on the horizon, and war brings casualties. He proves once more that he’s the master of the give and take. He grants you a nibble of an answer and then takes that joy away by leaving you with a dozen more questions.

My biggest awe-moment for Trinity was the scenes from Carnage, this time told from Callie’s viewpoint. Silvers didn’t just regurgitate and gloss over things in a summary. He told them from Callie’s view and added her thoughts, feelings, and suppositions. He proved his characters are layered, independent, and gosh darn it they’re real. Callie’s story is like a five star meal. It starts out tasty with her first ventures, just little appetizers to whet your whistle, and then it keeps getting better and better. Every bite builds on the last.

Callie is looking for answers to many of the events that have been happening to her as of late. Considering in her last adventure, she inadvertently created an "Anghellian" by merging An archangel and an archdemon, she is looking for some very big answers. The problem is, agents of both heaven and, well..., "the other place" want to know what has happened to some of their most powerful, and they are going to get Callie to answer in any way they can. Mostly by attacking those who are on her side. Both heaven and "the other place" are going to find out what happens when you back Miss. Penrose into a corner. Also, for all the Nate fans out there, this book also gives us the chance to see the events of "Catalyst" from Callie's point of view. Buckle up, the ride is going to get wilder than you can possibly imagine; and it's just getting started!

What a powerful book! Shayne Silvers has been scheming, plotting and orchestrating this for years obviously building events toward the biggest monster, freak, pantheon and tiny god apocalypse. Id like to see the flowchart. I wonder how much white out was used to keep these three tales in sync.

I’m gladly willing to wait impatiently for the next book in any of the three series required to catch up on Callie, Nate, Gunther, Ashley, Jahn, the twins, Peter, Claire, Quinn, etc.

Wow

Still trying to come to grips. Just wow. The next book can’t come soon enough. This is the best one yet. Very action packed, start to finish. Emotions will definitely be all over the place. Seeing that part of Carnage through Callie’s pov was a definite plus.
There is definitely humor. One point I was laughing so hard I was crying. Still chuckle when I think about it. But at the moment my heart is aching so much...so much. Not sure how to come to grips with it. Callie seems to be handling it better than I am.
The more I read this particular series, which is my absolute favorite, the more I’m amazed that the female character (that I admire greatly) is written by a man. Just wow. And, go ninja, go ninja, go. YES!
Now to see how to control the grief, and try to be patient for the next book. 😢

The Evolution of Callie

We have watched Callie Penrose morph from a somewhat naive young woman into a weary cynical warrior in the preceding 8 books. In Trinity the 9th book of the series Shayne Silvers has once again flipped the Templeverse on its head.
Trinity begins with the age old quest for sex and love. Callie really needs to get some. Greek goddesses attempt to aid the cause. This becomes the backstory throughout. Callie needs to push all that aside to help her friends and protect her family. Learning who she is and what she must do morphs Callie to owning the titles Count Dracula and Horseman.
Trinity is a classic tragedy filled with loss, love, laughter and purpose. You are missing a jaw dropping epic book if you don’t start reading it now!
Shayne Silvers you have pulled another incredible story out from your magic hat. Kudos dear author.

Sinfully Good

I haven't laughed so hard in a long time!
This book had some of the funniest chain of events ever!
Shayne has always been Brilliant at one liners and snarky comebacks but, in my opinion, Trinity holds some of his best writing!
Besides the laughs ( which I desperately needed after a terrible week) he also wrote some deeply moving moments and let's not forget the blooming romance. Whoowee! It was hot... I'm sitting here wondering what he could achieve if he decided to write a romance. He is great at the slow build up. And then He wrote the Sexiest Character ever! ... and this while still keeping the focus on the main plot and kickass fights.... I mean Move over Jason Mamoa.... Ryuu has taken the throne! If I met Ryuu I think I'd be a puddle of hormones at his feet.
And then there is the story... oh man... crazy! It had me going back and rereading bits because I was suddenly struck by revelations! I loved it. I have so many questions and I'm so damn excited for the next book! Bring it in!

While I love Shayne Silvers' writing, I've never really cared for his Callie series. With a snarl and a frown I bought Trinity (Feathers & Fire, #9), assuming even this highly praised book about Callie and her adventures wouldn't phase.

Boy was I wrong. This book is awesome. The woman glides through one terrifying event after another. Not only is she bombarded with demons, angels, sins, and more but has to mentally resolve personal emotions that teeter at the cusp of her sanity.

Shayne Silvers has told some of the story in Carnage but his genius in telling this from Callie's perspective makes it entirely new. Her insights and point of view are unique. She is truly a warrior, a woman with passion, wit and will to destroy any and every threat that comes her way.

Get it, read it and thank your god for Shayne Silvers, King of Urban Fantasy.

Carnage (Nate Temple #14) left a lot of questions on the table about Callie, who showed up in limited fashion. Trinity exquisitely fills in those blanks, and so much more.
The tension in the air around both KC and Castle Dracula is palpable, feeling like the calm before the storm of war. Sins are running around, denizens from both on high and down low are irate with Callie, and she has to take time out of her already busy life to handle Horsewoman business.
We get to witness her part of the climax of Carnage, as she battles alongside Gunnar and Alucard. But that Carnage climax does not serve as the climax of Trinity. Oh no. Events turn on a dime. Tragedy strikes, sink or swim protocols are activated, and Callie ascends into the rousing figurehead we've been waiting for, kicking off this multi-book story arc with style.
Callie is all grown up as a leader. Prepare for Despair...

Wow! This book starts with action in the beginning and continues to the end. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough, to find out what happened next. Callie gained some impressive dental work, fights intense battles and learned that angels, demons and Nephilim assassins are coming for her and her people! She just can’t seem to catch a break! Watch out; the deadly sins are on the warpath, Nate is missing and the horsemen may need to ride. This action-packed book is full of danger, mystery, suspense, magic, demons, vampires, angels, Last Breath, Phix, The Dread Four, Olympians, betrayal, death, Ryuu, romance, family, humor, secrets, twists and turns and so much more. This book thrills and leaves you burning for more of this addictive series!

Hell hath no fury...

...like a woman with no ducks left to give. Callie has been pushed so far past her limits she can’t even remember where they were or what they looked like. Trinity is the beginning of a new story arc where we will see Callie redefining what Makes someone family. With Six of the Seven Deadly Sins on the loose and wreaking havoc, Callie soon learns that she can’t trust anyone or anything...even her own senses and that no one is safe. It’s time for her to embrace all that she has become. Saddle up and ride it like you rented it. The Horseman of Despair is gonna ride. Grab your copy and call in sick—this one has all the feels!!

Go Callie

A lot happens in this universe. Callie Penrose is a fighter for people, vampires, creatures, critters, even demons and daemons who follow her lead to respect each other, and not try to impose their personal ideas on others. She faces evil, by being true to herself and her family, which is growing in leaps and bounds. She has grown up since we first met her and become beautiful and powerful in her own right, as well as the team of apocalyptic horsemen with Nate Temple.

Well I was disappointed in this book.
Abut 30% of it was romance (I HATE romance), 50% was rehash of the last Nate book but from Callie's POV. The remainder was good, but not enough to cover the rest of the book.
If you haven't read the Nate book then fine this will not bother you, but for me it was a PITA. I am looking forward to the next one where it hopefully will not be as wasted as this one was.

I received an arc copy of this book

Shayne Silvers the man of the moment inflicting tears, tantrums, torture, tiaras & terror triumphantly once again in The Triple Threat Templeverse!
The Prince of Puns, The Larrikin of Laughter, Maestro of Murder, Mystery, Mayhem, Madness & Misery, the Bard of Battles (could have used another B word there, but Amazon would decline the review! LOL!
Sir Shanye Silvers infamous Pen is definitely mightier than either Ryuu or Callie's Katana swords!!!
Each Book Plays Out just like An Avengers Motion Picture Movie In My Mind, Only Its Better!!!
My Imagination Leads the way, guided by Silvers' Scene Stealing Sensational Scripts!

Damn you Shayne Silvers you did it again!
A few slithers of tears slipped the dam walls trailing down my cheek & just 2 paragraphs later the dam walls shattered like one of Raego's Obsidian Stone Statute under his wrath.
Reading these events from a women's perspective was so different. So Illuminating, heart breaking & heart warming.
Prior to reading TRINITY I had serious concerns I may just be re-reading CARNAGE all over again, fearing I wouldn't enjoy TRINITY because I'd read it all before, but boy or should I say Girl was I wrong & am so impressed. Callie Penrose you are my Girl Crush!

Award Winning Amazon Author Shayne Silvers continuing success with his Templeverse series' is equivalent to the Sport of Kings with a Triple Wining Trifecta Ticket every month or so release, or a Pick 4 Bet if you include his Shade of Devil Series, and those lucky numbers just keep coming up trumps for Silvers, and his dedicated fanily make them best sellers every time, with his success just going on & on & on!!!
Every book, audio & ebook well worth the price this caring author asks, nothing's ever overpriced or well out of reach.

I was only introduced to Callie in the last book, book 8 ANGEHELLIC which as a standalone book (for me) was out of this world and the same could be said again with TRINITY.
Just imagine how incredibly mind blowing it would be if I'd read Feathers & Fire from the start of the series. If only I knew all the characters, the ins & outs of their relationships, the enemies faced, the battles they've fought, the friends & family they've loved and lost, rather than just begining from book 8!
I have every book & audio from # 1-9 now, I just need to go back to the start, as I come late to this author's ARC Team.
I truly wish I began the ARC journey, back in 2016-2017 when we fiest spoke, but was busy reading too many other author's Arc's,, seriously had I known just how good these books were, I would have swapped a few quick smart. Silvers is my all-time favorite male American author! Oh and Kudos on my new favourite character, The Toymaker, a pure magicical being sure to be a Den favourite, but is it one for good, evil or both, that is the question?

OMG I AM SO Pi@#ED!!!
This was my first time meeting many characters, King Solomon, Last Breathe, Starlight, Kenai, Armor & Dorian Gray, plus many more of Callie's allie's, family, friends & Monsters.
Speaking of Dorian, what's up with him? This is not the man we normally know. Does Silvers normally write him this way? I find it hard to believe, he's not the picture of beauty & health, not the usual youthful, energetic flirtatious man we know or despise depending on the author take.
But now Callie's emotions have seeped into me, body, soul, mind & blood bonded. I am soooooo frigging angry, I feel every ounce of emotion running through her veins, a very foreign concept to me (its almost like a toxin running through my veins), although I'm extremely empathic, I don't usually pick up others anger, hatred nor revenge & I've never disliked a person because I'm told too! But this time I fell it deep to my core!
I even want to be the one inflicting the torture!,
Bravo Shayne Silvers Bravo, all hail the King, this magical extraordinary writing that has affected me in a way no other author has ever touched me before! No has made me feel such contempt & hatred!
I want payback, I want revenge & I want to do it nice & slow, taking my time, taking pride in my handy work! I want to hear the bad guys/girls die screaming slowly, while begging my name for mercy! WOW OH WOW!!!

The New Universal Freak Force is here!
The Horsemen of Hope, Justice, Absolution, Despair, a new creed.
A new era has begun, fall in line & follow the Freak Force of Fairness, Freedom, Fortune & Fortitude in the form of Hope, Justice Despair & Absolution!

I RATE TRINITY 5 ⭐ OUT OF 5⭐

Seriously these books are all so damn good, I highly recommend you buy or read them all, you won't regret it.
Get 'em at Amazon, Kindled Unlimited & all good book stores or even your Public Library if you must, but you've got to read them! It's the first time in over a decade I've started buying books & a complete series again, even buying audio too.
Leave your troubles behind, take a staycation that's out of this world & into the Templeverse today!

I received an ARC of TRINITY from the author to read & this is my fair, honest, impartial review as always.

Not my favorite

I normally give all of Shane’s book a 5 star, but there are two reasons I didn’t this time.
1. Shane does NOT understand women, how they think, or how they fall in love. The internal monologues were extremely cringey. It was so bad that it took away from the story.
2. Unnecessary deaths. I did NOT like the deaths at the end of the book. They seemed cruel and tragic for no reason.
I’ll read the following book, but I wished I had skipped this one. Plus, if you have read Carnage, then you mostly know how this one will end.

Eh Callie is getting a little boring IMO and not a big fan of ryuu..he just stepped out of nowhere negating all the build up between nate and callie. Just hard to be invested into a character that steps out of nowhere so late in the game.

Great series overall but the spiritual/cosmic mumbo jumbo is getting old...it's like every other sentence is some kind of revelation/epiphany that mere mortal simply could not comprehend. It making some of the characters feel far too "special snowflake" IMO and needs some toning down.

Also really..... the first 30% of the book is mostly jibberjabber in the park.......

This book is exceptionally full of witty sayings and clever lines. A good time will be had by all. Callie levels up at least twice, and even her love life is starting to shape up.

This time Callie Penrose is beyond busy.

She needs to find Nate Temple to talk about their relationship – or non-relationship. She needs to find Nate to keep him from being executed.

She is being targeted by Demons, and Angels, and Nephilim who all want to know where the Sins Pride and Wrath and Archangels Michael and Gabriel have gone.

She discovers, in the middle of all this, that the Nephilim are really vampires. What the…? She needs to get King Solomon and Last Breath to research this development for her.

And then, as if that weren’t enough, somebody kidnaps Ryuu, her ninja trainer/bodyguard. This, apparently, is a summons to come to where the Olympian gods are preparing to go to war with Nate and the new Horsemen.

And even after that mess is sorted out, she still isn’t done, because demons have invaded Solomon’s temple looking like Callie’s allies. But which ones?

The latest and greatest of Callie Penrose Solomon...WHAT A RIDE!!! WOW, WASN'T expecting THAT to happen, let alone all of the OTHER wonderful achievements made by Callie, and the DREAD FOUR...amazing as usual, and ENTIRELY CAPTIVATING from the first sentence, the 9th book of Feathers and Fire delivers a gut wrenching and hilarious view of things from CALLIE...in the first person no less...wow, her language is ALMOST as bad as mine...lol NOW TO THE MAN OF THE HOUR.....

MR. SILVERS,
You have once again delivered an amazing story that sucks you right in from the first word....and keeps you sucked in until the last one...and then like an addict tracking a fix, WE NEED MORE.....you are THAT good....not just one, but TWO separate, but INTERTWINED series, with a THIRD, BY ANOTHER AUTHOR....man you blow my mind, BOTH of you....Cameron O Connell, you as well..THIS is one of the best ones yet, and cannot wait to start the next!!

Ok. This was really good.

As I started this book, I realised quickly it was the same story as the last Nate Temple Book, but from the other side. It was kind of interesting, a bit cringy (that misunderstood phone conversation was actually gross and some serious little boy humour. Hence the dropped star. Seriously. I put the kindle down and had to force myself to start reading again) but mostly I kept thinking "tut. We've done this" but as it happened, it was worth trawlling through to understand the set up for the next piece. The part that came next was the really good part. A bit sad, but only for Callie, those characters didn't really mean much to me in their own right, so not devastating, but gutted for Callie. Cool set up for whatever comes next, even if that last bit was a little odd that everyone was just suddenly ok with everyone else. Still, I liked it.

Callie grows up and becomes...well, read it and see

Lots of new twists and turns in this one, as I would expect from the Master. Shayne Silvers pulls us ever deeper into the world of Feathers and Fire 🔥, and we follow along as do his characters. Indeed, we feel like we are part of the story. Callie discovers many new things about herself as this story unfolds, and she completes the transition from girl to woman to ... (not telling. No spoilers here).

It’s a rare talent to be able to pull readers into the story so fully that they feel as if they are part of the story. Making them transcend both time and place marks a true master storyteller, and Mr. Silvers does not disappoint. Start from the first book in the Templeverse, Obsidian Son, and hop aboard the Temple train and enjoy the many stops along the way.

Fast-paced, funny, at the edge of your seat exciting, with a sprinkle of gut-wrenching. You'll run the full gamut of emotions with this one.

Trinity is the most recent in the awesome Feathers and Fires series. This book shows why Shayne Silvers is a master at his craft and will run you up and down the full spectrum of emotions. It is exciting, nail biting adventure, snarky, and gut-wrenching all rolled into one amazing tale. Callie is a strong, loyal heroine and will do anything to keep her friends and family safe. You'll get so caught up in this book, you'll forget your name. You'll be pulled in immediately to this magical, exciting tale. I believe this is my favorite, but I feel that anytime Shayne weaves his magic into a spellbinding story.

What is a Trinity?

Although never directly answered, this story dwells on many types of Trinities, all combinations. Once again a very dramatic and exciting book with the underlying background of moral lessons even the gods were required to learn. The fight scenes were epic, but that has always been Shayne’s forte, one reason his books are so loved by his fans. Never really very good with the human feelings side of the story, this time there were honest, heartfelt snatches of this facet shinning through, in between the blood and tears.
As always, an exceptional read, so engaging you just can’t stop reading because something even more exciting might be on the next page. This is one that will last with me for a while.

Shayne Silvers is possibly on of the best authors around today but, being an independent writer, he doesn't have a huge publishing house behind him. That being said his Templeverse books are selling on something even better - word of mouth (or internet).
I'm an avid reader and love a good book and, I have to say, this is one of the best I've ever read.
All of Silvers' books are part of one great tapestry and the finished piece is going to be totally epic.
The stories contain everything you could want in a book - they are fast paced, full of action, heart-wrenching and yet full and snark and laugh-out-loud humour. Move over George R R Martin - you have a successor.
