So glad to be back at the Academy with the fifteenth book in the series. It is not a standalone. The slayers have infiltrated the school. What are Fiona and the council boys going to do after being sidelined by the Officials? From the beginning, Fiona has been having dreams/visions of her past that are clues to what is happening but she is not sharing nor does she truly understand them. However, Dracus knows that Fiona is telling the truth. With the deaths of people close to him, is Dracus able to truly focus on the possible threat? Least of all, let’s not forget about the pendant that was found and the possible magical properties it contains. All in all, this is one engaging, suspenseful read rolled up for any readers pleasure. I eagerly await the next installment to see what transpires….I volunteered to read a copy of this book.

Again with the missteps regarding past books info. A few books ago, Dracus and Fiona talked about his family, and it was mentioned that his father wasn’t completely well. And now that the King of Dragons is dead, suddenly his past health was immaculate. What on earth?
I’m also getting really annoyed with the glaring grammatical errors in the authors writing. Idk maybe English isn’t your 1st language, but it isn’t mine either, and I can still spot a few mistakes on each page. Either it’s a wrong word accidentally written or the sentence order is whacko. E.g. “And apparently it was in poor taste to SAVE each other on fire, even if it was in their sleep.” Here I’m pretty sure the author meant ‘SET each other on fire’ note SAVE… or “I’m had never heard Dracus admit…” when it should be ‘I had never heard Dracus admit…’ Where’s the proofreading?

Gotta love some extra dragon time! And the boys aren't as close-lipped as they have been. They aren't completely forthcoming, but it's better. Fiona still doesn't have all the answers she needs, but each new bit of information she gathers gets her a little bit closer to working it all out. This one ends pretty abruptly, but with the suspense of the slayers building, that was to be expected. Plus, there's the whole serial thing, and it doesn't look like it's all gonna come together quite yet.

Oh My Goodness I definitely enjoy this journey ... Fiona, the council boys, the mystery and suspense is absolutely breathtaking at moments. BUT, I just wish everything moved along a little faster. Sooo many questions, twists and the unknown. I’m anxiously waiting to see what Becca Fanning has in the next instalment. This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

This is a voluntary and honest review for an advanced copy.

I read this story in one go, not that it is very long but i actually could not put it down.

Once again it ended too quickly without actually getting anywhere, but at least it was interesting.

Love the mystery! But it's a shame that things are not what they seem. Loving the characters more and more especially Fiona's need for growth. I love it!

We continue

We continue the rollercoaster ride and I’m getting sick. No really so many questions and very little answers. I’m still weary about Priscilla.

I was drawn back in with Fiona and everything she is going through. Some things are starting to pick up but there are still a lot of mysteries left to solve. You finally see the side of Dracus that is much more human like. I am loving this series and cannot wait for the next book to see what will happen next. I am leaving a voluntary review for an advanced copy of the book.
