She has no interest in dating anyone who may disrupt her easy going and detached life, until she meets the sexy, ambitious, and clever Kantwan Camren. Kantwan is a no nonsense guy, and refuses to be with a woman who will cower when met with true love or hardwork. Will Cheyla be able to mature into the woman Kantwan needs? Or will she continue to live life as a disconnected and afraid little girl, causing her to lose out on the man of every girl's dreams? Ivy Horne, hasn't had it easy for the past few years. With her child's father being thrown in jail for reckless petty robberies, she is forced to make sure her son has everything he needs. In order to put food into her son Donovan's mouth, she joins best friends Jersey and Cheyla, by dancing every night for cash. Her plan is to focus on making money, while looking for a new job to obtain before her man Portland comes home. In addition to that, there are no ifs, ands, or buts about her being faithful to Portland while put away. That all changes upon meeting the intelligent, handsome, and aggressive Elijah Camren, who tries to show Ivy that she is way too good to hold a man down that has been so disloyal to her in the past. When Ivy falls for Elijah's charm, just a teeny bit, she is stuck with having feelings for him even when Portland returns. Will she dibble and dabble like Jersey? Or will fate have to pick for her as well? Everyone seems to be in a love that's forbidden, frowned upon, or just downright wrong. Let me say that I’ve never met a more trifling, disgusting, walking STD man like Tommy SMH. He’s raw dawging all these women and just don’t care! Who does things like this??? Tommy spread an epidemic in the hood and these clueless women just don’t have a clue and he continues to do dirty. These women made me upset since they so hard up for a man that they take anything.

I was relieved that Jersey did not fall for Tommy tricks and I was so happy that he got what he deserved.

The other characters are finding their way and hopefully they all get it together.

Great read

I loved this book I really did. I was so happy that Jersey and Kill got together no lie I was happy for them both I was more excited when she found out that she was pregnant by him as well. I was happy that kill killed Tommy because he got on my nerves. I was happy that Ivy left Portland because he didn’t deserve her at all. I was glad that Cheyla gave Kantwan a chance as well.

Don’t Judge a Book By Its Title

I’m surprised I enjoyed this book as much as I did. So far I’m happy with each couple but I know nothing good lasts forever. Curious what will happen between Ivy, Portland and Elijah especially since Portland is Jersey’s brother. I’m also happy Tommy got what he deserved. I was so scared he would rape Jersey and infect her. Can’t wait to read part two

I like the story.

My issue with this author is the sex scenes and a few other things. There are a lot of them (sex scenes)and that’s fine because she has several couples going in each book. The sex scenes get stale though because there is no variety. After you’ve read the first 3 or 4 the rest are pretty much the same.

Good book

This book is very interesting and I'm ready to see what's fixing to happen next. I am glad Kill finally killed Tommy because his ass was getting on my nerves always messing with Kills woman. Then I'm also glad that Kills woman mother finally kill her ex husband for leaving her and her kids for that young chick, he'll she should have killed that Trixie bitch too.

Drama

So much hatred & drama. Tommy was sick in the head. Something was seriously wrong with him. I loved Kill for Jersey. I think they make a cute couple. Ivy needed to let Portland go. Definitely another page turner by this author. Can't wait to dive into book 2.
