The world has been fractured by World War III, leaving the major continents uninhabitable. In Niveus, the only country with real land, a morbid experiment is being executed. Inside the Cube are two hundred men, women, and children with total memory loss who must undergo five mysterious and critically dangerous Trials. One of these is Alle, who must fight to survive while trying to escape an enemy she doesn't remember. Meanwhile, everyone she is trying to protect—including a handsome teammate—is at risk. The cards on the table include murder, palace intrigue, a pair of glass slippers, and power matches between the seen and unseen. Let the games begin.
For fans of The Maze Runner and The Selection: this is a Cinderella retelling you've never seen before.

Hey guys! Caroline here. Thank you so much for dropping by this page and checking out the book! Although our friend Goodreads is marking this as a review, I just hope to spark some conversation. I'm such a fan of stories, soul-touching narratives, and exploring difficult themes like pain, loss and love. I would love to hear from you! Drop a comment or let me know what you think of my futuristic rendition of the classic fairytale Cinderella <3 Lots of hugs!
I have to give props as this is a debut novel by a high school junior. As others have mentioned it is predictable but a cute story nonetheless. Most dystopian books state they are YA but I have found that even older adults like myself can enjoy them. This book however definitely is for teenagers.
I really loved the visuals that you get from inside The Amnesia Experiment. It is a very grand and imaginative story. The different trials were punishing and described masterfully. A very impressive first novel from Caroline Wei.
This book could have been amazing. It's really an original idea but just felt rushed at times. Character development was lacking a bit & just felt like storyline was incomplete. So much potential though.
Hunger games, Survivor and a little Selection all mixed in. I was at the edge of my seat the whole time. The ending was worth the tension though. Very good story
I liked this book a lot. I wish there was a sequel to it, but unfortunately there is not. I like the dystopian novel types. This one was like a version of the Hunger Games, but a little more interesting in my opinion. The memory loss of the characters was a good touch, seeing each who survived remember bits and pieces of their lives before.
The absolute chokehold this book has on me is indescribable! This book deserves so much more hype! This was the first book I read in one day and it was absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend this book to all.
